Glad the players didn't pick up the sweets last night, so hopefully the sweets will stop being thrown, at least when the panthers have lost.... if any of the sweet throwing puck bunnies have any sense that is.

Get there an hour or so early, pay with cash, go to Castle, drink some reasonably priced ale, save your self the cost of next weeks ticket. simple. Can't do that against the steelers or if you want the better seats. Agree pies the best way is buying your next match tickets is whilst at the current game. I think someone needs to put in a complaint to trading standards with regards to the charges for printing your own tickets. I believe this is free to do at Braehead and many other places.

The only team to have conceded more goals than the Panthers is Dundee. I'd say we've got defensive problems whatever Neilson says or excuses we make. Can't look at total goals conceded to all the other teams when some have only played 2 or 3 games or 0 in Hull's case. Maybe compare to Sheffield who have conceded 11 less after the same number of league games, though they have had an easier start to the season. If Panthers are still conceding on average more than 4 goals at the end of next month then can say there is definetly something wrong.

Mmm I think this one will go closer than we think, Brendan Cook to score for Braehead, maybe a 1 goal difference and Braehead to pinch the points. Now prove me wrong boys. Are your predictions always this accurate? Credit to Bruce for having the Clan as a well drilled unit. If we are going to keep conceding 4 goals every game we are going to be losing a lot more games this season, and to sides we shouldn't lose to. Can't rely on always scoring 5 goals + every game. I see Steelers kept another shut out. .. Come on Corey sort the defence out.... and yes it would be nice to have someone who could win face offs more often than not.

and panthers kept hitting the post on purpose....
Thought panthers deserved to at least take it to overtime myself, clan's first goal was lucky ans the puck just wouldn't go in for panthers with their netminder played really well.

With a nickname of weapon "X" I can't get some of the rapper DMX lyrics out of my head, though I am not advising any of them to be chanted:
X gon give it to ya He gon give it to ya X gon give it to ya He gon give it to ya
1, 2 X is coming for you 3, 4 you better lock your door
X is comin' for ya, can't do nothin' for ya 'Cause X is comin' for ya Run, hide, duck, duck We don't give a f

First of all I take it these fixtures are still as they were? Braehead away 6th November Edinburgh away 7th November Travelodge are at the moment doing a sale. Good prices if you are staying over on the Sunday night with £15 or £19 rooms. link to Edinburgh Travelodge prices for that weekend below: www.travelodge.co.uk/search_and_book/saver_search.php?changeWeek=1&locpostText=edinburghWhose going up for that weekend, where will you be staying or looking to stay, and how many Panthers fans do you reckon will be in attendence?

Put me off going now with it looking like the adults tickets will be £60 - £70, with the kids ones £40-£50. Reckon only around two-thirds of tickets will be sold with the prices.

It looks like Cotterill is off, he is in talks to be Coventry's new manager. I'm waiting for next season's relegation markets to open, Sky bet have Notts as 6th favourites at 14/1 to win league 1 next season which is laughable.

it is right according to the elite league site - 20 assists in 27 games = 0.74 assists per game on average.
points wise it is 24 in 27 so 0.89 average pts per game.
Interstingly enough Meyers only has 8 penalty minutes to Neilson 60 so far this season.

I woudn't mind putting up with boring hockey myself, if it resulted in winning the league. A solid defence goes a long way to winning championships and that's something panthers don't have.
Belfast signed murphy allowing them to sign an extra import out skater, (whether it's a goon or not) and are conceding only 2 a game, while panthers averaging 3.3 goals conceded a game.

Looks like it could be Mann who gets rested tonight then, though that would disrupt the lines unless Neilson plays offence. Maybe give Molin a call?
I'm not totally happy with KSP, he concedes too many soft goals. Our Defense held pretty firm through the game though. I'm hoping Toney's doesn't get gassed permanently.
We should just looks to rotate the import defenceman for some games the rest of the season. This way it will keep the Defenceman on their toes.
Neilson should spend a few games on the bench, we need to stop giving away these "too many men"penalties.
I am exstatic about the result, I am still bouncing this morning. Oh look it's the league table:
bmibaby Elite League Team GP W WOT L LOT Pts 1 Nottingham 16 8 2 6 0 20 2 Coventry 12 8 1 3 0 18 3 Newcastle 13 8 0 3 2 18 4 Belfast 14 7 1 5 1 17 5 Cardiff 14 6 2 5 1 17 6 Edinburgh 10 2 2 5 1 9 7 Hull 13 3 0 8 2 8 8 Sheffield 14 2 1 9 2 8
The only problem is we have played 2-4 more games than everyone else, and we have now got 5 tricky away games in a row, starting with Newcastle, then we have to bus it back up north on Tuesday to face Edinburgh.

I wasn't at the game last night. Just a thought about the swapping of lines.
Dagleish been bench for large chunks of matches, Levers missing chances that the likes of McAslan would put away, Clarke not contributing much.
maybe we should spend a couple of days training then go into a match with lines of 2 imports, then a brit holding line to give the imports a brief rest bite.

Jonno, Ill be checking out your live coverage this evening.
I can foresee a defeat for the panthers as well. Panthers usually beat cardiff at home, but I don't think they will this time. Which of our players are nursing injuries?
Cardiff in fine form and thumped Newcastle last night, panthers in fairly poor recent form.
The 12/5 on cardiff to win, plus a draw saver looks tempting with betandwin. I may have to go against me team here with a small flutter.

Yep great fight, good time to have it end of the 2nd.. Wasn't sure if start of 3rd would have been better timing, but bergin had 20 minutes to rest it meant, rather than 5. He then popped up to deflect the winning goal! I would have given MOM to Bergin, but then it was a sloppy performance all round from panthers. It was a game we would have lost last season!
Hull played defensive and once they went 2-0 up, just went even more defensive, and just tried to clear their zone and played dump and chase. Credit to the panthers for coming back, AGAIN! Gotta pick up their game for today against the Blaze though.
As for Carson I thought he was a joke again today. Hull should have had at leat another 4 or 5 in the box, and some penalties he gave the panthers I didn't see anything wrong myself. Crucial call by carson in overtime to give a penalty mind, so fair do's for that.

7-13 year olds have mobiles too, how about getting them to pay full price too while we are at it! family tickets are a good idea, say two adults, and upto 2 children, or 3? - for a set price say £40. Personally I think an idea for next season is to maybe have: a noisy block - say block 4, where you can make as much noise as you want. a library block for pensioners & the like - block 14?? a family block, for parents and their kids of all ages. I can't really understand why some parents bring babies along. block 16? a moaners block - where people can spend the entire game moaning. - block 6?

They do listen... and sometimes act on it. Like the dropping of the " - for this!" after the initial "And now it's time..." before the game - we're well rid of that. Not particularly keen on Chelsea Dagger myself, but I don't think we should ditch it just yet... seems to work. The one that really bugs me is that stupid electronic tune that everyone goes "Wooh!" to. Call that music? - a five-year-old could do better... +1 on your post "Shaggy. I missed the first couple of minutes of the game, had a few problems with buses, trains as I travel from London now to watch the panthers. Going from the comments I'v read on here, then a thank you to the club on listening.

the kids can't earn an income though apart from a paper round, and pocket money from their folks. I would be tempted to lie and say they are 13 years, if queried then say they just look older than they actually are, or have a moan to get some sympathy.

Molin looks nothing like (slim) Shady...
Poor steeler's fans: they need to worry a bit more about their own team, than bleat about the Panthers, who are playing it by the rules.
Panthers didn't blatently go over the wage cup in previous seasons, but don't want to go over old ground again.

Sorry, it was just a spelling mistake, I am not that good at spelling. I do prenounce it correctly when I say his name. As it was be only your nhlers 2nd competitive game of the season on Sunday, they may well be a tad rusty, well I hope so anyway! Good luck to the caps! apart from when they play the Panthers of course. This season looks like it could be very competitive and open between all 8 teams, which should make it very exciting for all involved! and as for sharp, he will probly only appear on the ice for about the last 10 minutes, to try and and wind up our players and get one of them to fight. Hopefully our players will ignore him, and he'll get a penalty, for dropping his gloves! ;D Has his skating improved at all from last season do you know "hockeyanimal"?
