Now no one can say im not full of xmas spirit!
Apparently on Saturday police have issued notices saying during the day parts of maid marion way MAY be closed off.
reason being...
Thousands of xmas shoppers People there for the ice rink and German Market March from the Mercian Regiment 10.50 am Forest v Leicester 1pm kick off or around then? EDL rally 2pm
All could cause some traffic chaos if you ware getting in middle of the day to do shopping or whatever before the game.
Actual police notice says 'there may be need to be some closures of maid marian way and castle boulevard during the day and there will be restricted access to some streets such as Castle road, friar lane and castlegate.
I dont really know much in the way of alternative transport/parking arrangements. Ill leave that to the nottingham guys

couple all of the above factors that ted mentioned above, with the fact that there will be thousands of of students protesting against the racist people in market square. looks like alot of people will be out and about. bars have been told to get door staff in from opening this saturday.

now now buster.... EDL arent racist.... they are anti extremist I was gonna join in the students on their anti racist march.... but then I remembered, I have a job and I shower regularly and generally have better things to worry about than telling other people how to think

More reason for the Park and Ride that day then. IF it's not clogged up because of the other folk getting there first though. Sounds like a good day for marketing the game.

I believe 'United against fascism' are also protesting against the 'English Defence league' and therefore if these two get together there could be some fireworks. I'm staying well away!

how on earth can you pick up on this now, to this sole user, when so many in the past have been guilty of it?

how on earth can you pick up on this now, to this sole user, when so many in the past have been guilty of it? You know, I noticed you were online, Buster... and I just knew you'd make a comment like that. You're getting predictable... So, let me see - some non-English posts haven't been picked up on in the past... that means we should ignore every single one in the future? Unlike yourself, the Mods don't claim to be infallible... maybe we miss some stuff. Doesn't mean that we shouldn't make an effort. You have a problem with that? - please take it to PM and avoid boring everyone.

WELL, all hell did break loose it certainly did, my favourite part was watching some scum give the police attitude and then when a dog unit arrived he sat on the floor begging for forgiveness!
