I know this has been raised on topics before but can fans please stop throwing sweets onto the ice at the end of the games - I know they are probably from the "puck bunnies" who think it may attract the players to them - last night was embarassing - we lost - why should they have been rewarded - Cory can stop this immeadiatelly by telling the players not to pick them up - IMHO it degrades the professionalism of the team

Other than for hat-ricks, where the long accepted tradition of throwing caps onto the ice is tollerated (though not practiced in the UK it seems), isn't throwing items onto the ice against the terms and conditions of entry and those who commit such acts leave themselves liable to be ejected and/or banned from future fixtures?
Perhaps Showsec can start earning their money by sorting out these sweet chuckers

You're not allowed to take any outside food or drink into the arena or so is my understanding. But then to throw it on the ice is a double rule breaker. It is something that has gone too far. But they won't change because we moaned on here - it'll be an ongoing saga. My lifes too short to worry about what puck bunnies and kids do. I got more aggreived at the bloke next to me last night who reffered to the puck as "the ball" at least a hundred times last night and told his partner the offside rules for both games are the same.

Well I for one left as soon as the hooter went. Not because I'm a sore loser but because I believe that if I had saw sweets being thrown on to the ice as a reward for losing then I may have murdered someone.

Why do it!? If we win then ok, but when we lose? Some people need their heads testing, i bet these are the same people that say things like, well at least we tried. Argh shove your yorkie up your backside

It all started off as a joke between a couple of fans and Danny and Matt as far as I'm aware. Then people jumped on the band wagon and think its acceptable to do it ever since.

I think its stupid, people chucking stuff on to the ice like sweets specially when we played like we did last night. I do think its mainly the puck bunnies, so maybe they are not aware that we lost at a game.

It's annoying at any time, but to throw individual sweets not in wrappers, are people expecting the players to pick them up and eat them.

If enough people e-mail the panthers desk then maybe, just maybe we can get it stopped - the only way though is to tell the players not to pick them up - surely they are not that hungry

I'd imagine it's also quite dangerous for the players if they run into anything on the ice.
Stupid idea by stupid people.

I thought the throwing projectiles on to the ice was prohibited? Maybe the Elite league should investigate.
Only takes 1 stray Mars bar and thats a career ended (oh matron!)
Talking of insurance, would we be covered for a chocolate related injury?

A mars bar in the wrong hands could be more lethal than a puck - think if the trend does continue they should be limited to marsh mallows

Perhaps we should start an alternative trend of throwing tomatoes onto the ice whenever we lose.
If you throw it from block 9,10 or 11 it would have to go through the net, and that would make a right old mess.
I dont quite see how you could be told off for doing it either, as fruit is better for you than chocolate.

Save your scraps and stick them in a bag for their post game meal.
