One of the things we've had suggested is that rather than having 1 thread for Lions news, that we have seperate threads. So, here we go! Lions face ENL Blaze for the first time on Sunday, as we open the 2010/2011 season at home. The first 3 away games saw the Lions pick up only 2 points, with a win in Newcastle on the opening day of the season. This has been followed by two defeats in Sheffield and, surprisingly, in Telford. Although early in the season the next 4 weeks will be crucial in deciding if the Lions will be playoff contenders, or battling relegation. Good news is Lions have no injury worries and should see Ciaran Quinn, Keiran De'Ath & Adam Radmall all make their home debuts. Face off is 19:30 on the Olympic Pad, and tickets can be purchased from the back of the Box Office. Tickets are £5 Adults, £4 Concessions (incl. NUS) and £3 Children U16. If you have a spare couple of hours and couple of quid, and have always fancied taking in a Lions game then please join us on Sunday!

Thankfully I do have a spare couple of quid. Shame that this still won't be enough to buy me a ticket.

Can you afford a pint at the bar and a look through the window?

Can you afford a pint at the bar and a look through the window? probably not as that's at least £3.50. I am considering going, about how many people go to watch?

NP, on a good night we can get a couple of hundred, on a not so good night it's one man & his dog! Over the last few seasons the crowds have been OK, but we could always do with more!
