Yo!
Just a friendly reminder.
the NIC now charge a £1.95 collection fee for your tickets so i'd advise booking tickets early enough for them to be sent out or you'll be having to pay an additional £1.95 aswell as your booking fee to collect your tickets.
Anyone who purchases tickets for saturdays game now will have to pay the £1.95 collection fee.

This is pure madness, charging a 10% for booking and now a collection fee that equates to 12% of a £16 ticket, then obv the 10% booking fee which is £1.60 per £16 ticket.
If they was to charge to send out then fair doo's as it needs to pay for postal fee's but charging people for picking up their own tickets is madness.

If you can get down to the Arena, do so and pay cash. No booking fees. What I used to do.

Yeah, but there's no way to avoid the 1.95? It's either postage, or queue space rental (or something)?

Typical of my having to pay TWO charges when adding a ticket to my ST. Get that, I buy a ticket and pay the handling charge and a fee to put it on my ST card.NEVER AGAIN.

Also not so easy to pay over the counter when your working hours cover the hours they are open.
This could all be to cover the cost of the so called 'Exclusive Bar' that is taking one big nose dive.

When i rang up to reserve tickets for the Steelers game i queried the charge & they told me it was to pay for the extra staff they need to hand out tickets reserved for collection. They must be on a very good wage if thats the case

The whole "we have to pay people to hand out collection tickets" thing is absolute tosh, they purely want to make a bit more money on the side. The fact is people expect some sort of charge when they book tickets online/over the phone (god bless TicketWeb eh?) and so companies know that they can get away with making a few more quid in this manner. Thats business folks.
I used to get annoyed about the charge but I don't pay it anymore. I get my tickets in person on the way back from college in town and on top of not having to pay the charge my wife and I also get a nice little student discount.
If it makes people feel better then don't think of it as a charge for picking your tickets up, think of it as a charge to make sure you get the tickets you want on a match night rather than queue on the night and go through the faff of "is there anything in block blah row blah blah left".

It's because some people will pay it.
Boycott!
I hate the arena, the only time I go is for Panthers. They'll probably ban paying by cash soon.

If you have to pay a charge regardless of how the ticket gets from them to you, it should not be listed as a separate charge, it should be part of the actual face value of the ticket.
Example: If a ticket has a face value of £15, I should be able to get it for that price and nothing else (booking fee is a different matter), with the option of paying extra for an alternative delivery method etc. If both delivery and collection incur a charge, I would consider it false advertising to claim the ticket costs £15, as it actually costs £2 more than that thanks to the charges that you cannot possibly avoid.

Correct or assuming Panthers get nothing from this extra charge it should actually be made part of the compulsory booking fee and at the end you simply have the choice of delivery or collection Should also stop calling it first class delivery as well because it makes you assume you are going to get your tickets next day I ordered Steelers tickets weeks ago and they still haven't even been sent (I assume) Why call it first class delivery - should call it "just in time delivery"

No - if we are going to do it we need to cash in ;D We should charge at least £1 at first and see what more we can get away with over time ! (Think thats how it all starts)

I thought from the start of this Season, if you registered Online via the Panthers Link, and Booked your tickets online, you can print your own ticket at home. What charges if any you get I do not know as I have not tried it yet. www.mypantherstickets.com/Our new online box office has loads of cool features to make getting your tickets easier:
•Choose and book seats from an online map •Check out the view with photos from every seating block •Open 24/7 - secure online tickets whenever you need them •Buy tickets for any on sale match or combination of matches in one go •Print at home tickets - with quick scan bar codes for superfast entry
If you need help at any time please contact the Box Office.
