Bumping up this thread after reading the "official" coach has been cancelled. I think are around 10 - 15 spaces left for the trip, so those who had booked with NPSC, contact Richard and he will sort you out. Times going and coming back are similar to what the official coach were advertising, so you just need to skive the one day of work, school or college.

rnscooby22 - I might be interested, I have noted down your mobile no, I am sitting row E in block 13 today, I will try and catch you at end of period 1. I was thinking of flying there and back, but may go for the coach option.

who are Slovakia's best and well known ice hockey players, both current and retired? I think the biggest Slovak players at the mo are Marian Hossa, Ladislav Nagy, Miroslav Satan, Marian Gaborik. Old school the only one I know of is Stan Mikita. If you really wanna know about Slovak hockey, have a word with Martinski83. He even knows a few Slovak players Oh and don't forget the Slovakian Express Matus Petricko! Cheers Any famous Austrian hockey players as well? I wonder if there were any bulgarian fans at the game, and if they stayed till the end. The fans certainly got their moneys worth in terms of goals. Probably about 1 Koruna (around 3 pence) per goal , working out at - very loosely?

Did anyone have a sneeky fiver on Edinburgh to beat Sheff?
I have an account with bet365, but not bet&win.
I have a few questions with regards to bet&win?
Does anyone know of any sign up bonuses with them? I only open new accounts, if they offer incentives. Also what is the max bet they would allow on a uk ice hockey game?
Also who has a betfair account, and would like to see odds for the UK Superleague?
I would like to see odds for the Superleague outright, plus match odds. I am going to start a topic on the betfair forum, so those who are a betfair member, please post in support then I will send betfair an e-mail, with a list of interested names, in a couple of days time.
Betfair did offer Uk ice hockey markets a few years ago, but stopped due to lack of interest.

The edinburgh away double header looks appettising. Slight imbalance, with 5 away games in a row from end of September; then make up for it with 5 home games in 6 in end of oct/Nov. Last 4 out of 5 games are away as well!
Feb looks tough with 10 fixtures including Belfast, then away to sheffeld the following day. Also their could be a cup game or two to fit in during Feb!

I take it then Parley is one of the two Corey is choosing between for the nettie. I wonder who the other one is? Any ideas?
Parley seems pretty decent from what I have heard, though would be interesting to know the alternative first.

VIPERS for me. I am trying to get hold of a blow up donkey in support of Payette.
Paws to return the Vinny favour from last year. Vipers are in the next block to me and a lot of panthers fans, so will be cheering for them.

Nicky's Tricky Trees have joined in the fun!
Who won last year, and who was bottom?
I expect like the panthers usually do, I will finish midtable.

Radio Nottingham interviewed Ellis at about 8am in the morning and admitted he had hardly any sleep, partying till about 3.30 in the morning. But who can blame him and the players!

I think you'll recognise a few of us, probably situated behind the team benches for the game on the 8th! ;D I hope you're enjoying yourself surfing off the South Coast. I take it you haven't seen any "Great White" sharks yet? Regards Nick p.s there are a lot of nick's on the cage forum!

As far as I know, Panthers are still looking to recruit one more defenceman, and one more forward. Releasing Cooke has meant a slightly bigger budget fot these last two spots. Still a good 3 or 4 weeks away until the new season, so plenty of time.

I was a bit insulted by our odds at the start off the play offs. I was only allowed £1.60 by the bookie, but paid for a few more celebration beers!

Former Phoenix triallist gets the call Wednesday, 15th August 2007 Manchester Phoenix have handed a late contract to British forward Nick Whyatt, four years after he trialled for the club in the inaugural season. Phoenix player coach Tony Hand said, "I wanted to bring in a little extra depth if I could and talked with Davey Graham about a couple of British guys. Davey suggested we talk to Nick as he'd coached him previously in Solihull and felt he do a job for us on the third line. I spoke to Nick and he jumped at the chance to join us." Originally a product of the Nottingham junior system, 23-year old Nick Whyatt has played the last two seasons in the English Premier League with the Solihull Barons and Telford Tigers. Standing over 6ft tall and weighing 170lbs, the left shot wingman described himself as being, "on top of the world," on signing to play for the Phoenix. www.manchesterphoenix.co.uk/news/s/0/874_former_phoenix_triallist _gets_the_call.html Good Luck for the coming season, Nick. ...

I watched an ice hockey game in Australia when I was in Brisbane last year. The standard of hockey is very poor. A lot of the games are quite high scoring, with the low standard. At least there was a couple of fights to keep me entertained.

Well done to Neilson for his MOM performance tonight. shame we couldn't see his presentation, or the players weren't allowed to go to the finals in what could be the final home game. Great effort by all the panthers players, just need another top performance tonight. Shmyr probably won't get his ban lifted, Jan may well be in further trouble for his salute, but surely Duarby must be banned and fined for interference when not playing.
