Has anybody else not had their money taken like me? I thought the message was they where being processed last week? Mine (block 15) hasn't gone out yet though they can process your application and it can still take another couple of days for the cheque to hit your bank account.

The goalscoring issue for me is that he scored only one goal in twenty odd away League games and where did we lose the title last year ? .....

I think Bergin got best performance in a single game for his gordie howe hat trick against Giants, the award was a lap top??? chosen by orchid it. KSP got most consistant player, chosen by Corey (i think this was in appology for not having a defence) Mann got fans player. Meyers got Ripplingdale trophy, not 100% on what this is for? best brit? dont know who choses it. Danny - team spirit Bruce - Fans' most entertaining player

I have freeze framed it - the puck goes across the line, Latulippe is as you say in an offside position, he skates back to be in an onside position and then takes control of the puck.
I've also checked the IIHF rules and found this in an IIHF casebook:
Situation 5 A player in the neutral zone shoots the puck down the ice and another player from the same team precedes the puck across the attacking blue line but does not play the puck. Ruling: The player is in a delayed offside position. When the player clears the attacking zone he will then be eligible to play the puck.
I'm not a qualified ref so I'm not sure I'm right but it gives a reason why the offside call might not have been made.

And that 3rd Cardiff goal was definitely offside... nice to see clear evidence of that, nice to know that our eyes weren't deceiving us! Funnily enough, Shaggy, I've watched that bit several times and still think it was just about onside as I did on the night. Latulippe gets his skate back over the blue line (I think he just has to touch the line to be onside) as he takes the pass.

I'm another one happy to have Carson especially against a team that plays a more physical game. As Rumpole says, Carson calls what he sees. Hanson lets too much go for my liking

Why are we playing our most physical winger on defence, in a game where we are trying to consolidate a lead, when we have a proven stay at home D-man standing behind the bench? Don't get me wrong, Bergin was solid enough (although a few of his decisions showed he was not a natural in that position), it is not a criticism of him at all. I just cannot see the logic in it - the stated purpose of having surplus imports and rotating the roster is to play the line up that fits a given situation. Defending a two goal lead, expecting the opposition to come out all guns blazing, you would think this was made for Toneys to come into the side, but for some reason we get a winger playing at the back. Does not make any sense at all to me. Maybe there was some logic there. We start off by strengthening our D but if things had gone pear shaped, we could also shift Super Kev up front to help the chase for goals.

Did Tom Soar and Callum Bowley get any ice time during the game on Sunday? Josh Ward had a couple of shifts and Ferrara at least one but I didn't notice the others get on.

I seem to remember d'amor giving tricky a pasting after the hit - not giving tricko the chance to fight back either. So two incidents I can remember tricko has been involved in - a threat to stamp (and thats all it was, a threat) and the damour thing, and all of a sudden he's the bad guy? A lot of us had a clearer view of the stamping incident that night so you shouldn't be surprised if Petricko gets little sympathy on here.

Our odds seem to based on the view that we're at 'home' so are probably a bit lower than they ought to be.

Perhaps three teams wanted to cut imports/costs and the others didn't want to so there's a split along those lines. It may well be that no-one wanted to compromise.

One more thing, and a slightly disappointing note to end on - to the section of fans behind the goal. The youngsters waving bye-bye in jest to our players is fair enough, but when an annoyingly high number of adults can be seen not applauding the Phoenix boys as they skate round it kinda leaves a poor impression. Our guys gave it their all tonight, so to stand there with folded arms and not applaud through apathy is a bit of a poor do IMO. By the same measure, I'd expect that you'd have been disappointed that so few Phoenix fans stayed to applaud the Panthers.

Marko Coenen was an absolute disgrace tonight, no need to call most of what he did, and the 2 min roughing on Ndur was pathetic, the guy just went in for the check, but because is was on Kostaplonka he blew for the pen??? From my angle, it was a fair call and a dumb penalty. As part of the check, Rumun either gloved him in the head or punched him.

Number 18 near the top of the page is either a relative of Johan Molin or more probably, Jim Gauthier. I can remember Gauthier (playing for Altrincham) terrorising Dave Graham in the Solihull net with breakaway goal after breakaway goal presumably in the season after he played in Nottingham.

Bruce Richardson- that one man penalty kill he performed is quite simply the most dedicated, committed and best sequences of play i have seen all year, i'm glad he got his MOM and hope it is announced that he is defintely back next season. Totally agree - that was worth the admission on its own. Rangers - you weren't just outplayed on a 5 on 3, you were outplayed on a 5 v Bruce. By the way, Spence, it's already been announced that Bruce is back next year as Corey's no 2.

Didn't I read somewhere that if Ruman is re-registered, he can't be DE-registered again, so when Tess is free, it would mean cutting someone else? It was in the last programme. Players can only be re-registered once so presumably if we use Rumun now, we couldn't de-register him and then try and bring him in again later.

We'll let you know when it's the end of the period. Are we nearly there yet?

Interesting to note from posters who had been to the game and in the NEP report that Manc seem to fade badly in the last period in both games, and did so against the Coventry fans a few weeks ago. Hope still yet, if we do have them in the first round of the play offs. Equally important last night was the switch to two all import forward lines and a Brit forward line. Good though our Brits are, Marc Levers has one goal in his last 31 games, Matt Myers isn't a natural sniper (his goals tend to be hard worked) and Clarke, before his injury, was in a bit of a scoring slump. Count how many times a chance is created and it falls to the 'wrong' guy.

Hill did alright. Our defence is a lot more solid now Danny can be paired (most of the time) with an import D man. I didn't notice many struggles to clear the zone that we've had in other games.

In from the game.
Nice to see us snatch a win from the jaws of defeat.
We changed lines for the last period to two import forward lines and one Brit line and then went at it patiently rather than chasing the game. Thankfully the chances came our way.
Not sure why there was so much fuss about the first Manchester goal - we stopped play for five or more minutes and Michel moved the goal off whilst we disputed it with Smith. I've seen what our website says but to my mind, the only thing wrong was that we had too many men on the ice as they let Jade and their no 7 out of the box on time when they should have kept Jade in to start a 5 on 3 (toneys and Levers had taken minor penalties after Jade so Levers was waiting for the Jade penalty to finish for his to start).

If +/- was recorded in this league Danny would be highlighted with a significant minus figure, he was on the ice for defo one of the goals, and i am pretty sure he was on the ice when the 1st went in too! You're right. He was on the ice for both.

Opposition Cleveland? Their #11 Jim Earle? Didn't Cleveland usually have a Calgary kit? How about it being Durham with the 11 being Paul Smith and the other guy, Ivor (?) Bennett

Game could have gone either way, we had some good chances. Crucial moment was Danny coughing up the puck for their third.
