nice ryanp, very very funny.
we are going to get spanked. why play at 100% when we can do just enough to get by and get a decent opponent for the playoffs?
sounds like the story of the panthers through and through.

well i hope they don't cruise, i want us to win convincingly. 2 points in our pocket is better than 2 more points to them .
even if we don't win the league i am sure panthers would rather face vipers in the playoffs (a team we have not lost to all season) than manchester or cardiff

I'm not going either.
But wouldn't it be nice to inflict their 4th regulation defeat.
That says it all though 3 regulation losses from 43 games. I really hate it, hate it, hate it but that is a team that deserves to win the league.

More chance of hell freezing over than taking anything else from this one. We've proved it over and over that we aren't good enough to beat Shef in their barn. I too shall be giving this one a miss!

I live with the continued hope of us going there, stuffing them and, albeit briefly, shutting Simms up. So I'll be there, ready for my triannual (if that was a word) Brummy induced headache, because you never know.

Until it's mathematically impossible for us to win the league I want to take all points available and that means 100%. If nothing else, taking 2 points on Saturday might weaken the Steelers resolve somewhat and sow the seeds of doubt that they are not all conquering and not yet guaranteed of winning the league. I get the impression the players haven't quit yet and started cruising so why should we fans?? Finally, I'd much prefer to finish 2nd then 4th in terms of Playoff position.

My thoughts exactly although, perhaps thankfully, i'll be spared listening to the straining voice of Simms as he tries to sound all important and 'nhl' announcer like as i'll be on my way to the states to see the Rangers take on the Flyers, will be hoping for 4 points all the same, never give up. I was at White Hart Lane the day a 10 man Man City fought back from 3-0 down to win 4-3, these things, albeit rare, do happen! Keep believing!

This is the game I won 4 tickets in a raffle prize.Rather wished we'd be a bit closer than the gap that we have just now. Anyhow, I hope that 2nd place is being sought as this is testiment that, over this season, (as the league shows consistency) we are getting better. That we are better than 3rd etc...and (weather it be bridesmaids or not) we would have this in the record books rather than mid table again, end of season. Straight off an away game in Belfast with all the travel involved I am not off to the bookies myself for a win.But I have my fingers crossed. Get the win in Belfast first as they are the ones close behind us.

I aint going purely cos of Simmsy and his non stop shouting and general crap from up in his ivory tower.
Hope we go out 100% and win or it is gonna be very possible the Steelers can win the league in our rink in three or four weeks time !

For goodness sake people 'get a grip' and stop feeling sorry for yourselves. Any team can win on any given night. I really hope it is the Steelers that go on to win but we will have to wait and see. However you still need to have confidence in your team and be there to support them through thick and thin. As for not coming to the game on Saturday because of Simmsy I think thats a real cop out. Its probably because you can't stand the thought of losing, or you don't want to part with your well earned money. Stop moaning and come and support your team. Don't you think that we feel the same way when we come over to your barn, that is what rivalry is all about......let the battle commence folks! See you all on Saturday!

Buster, I don't think anywhere in my post I said I thought we were going to get it but there's nothing misguided about abit of optimism as opposed to a whole lot of pessimism. I haven't heard the fat lady start singing yet

Very easy to say when your team is 11 points ahead in the league
