simple really just tell us what your hightlight/favourite moment was from the 08/09 season.
for me it was myers' overtime winner against sheffield the finish the sense of relief and the players celebration summed it all up and that one goal kept us in the title race for that little bit longer.

Kevin Bergin's winner against the Steelers with 94 seconds to go. I celebrated so much I sprained my ankle!

cookie's goal for me as well
bruce's 1 man penalty kill is a possibility, or when he slid into the boards (hull?) to stop the puck going into the zone

i agree with lgs03thelj, Bruce's one man penalty kill is right up there with the best highlights for me...what an ovation he got and so rightly deserved after!!

I'm struggling to think of any Vipers highlights, but any one of McAllister's fights probably win it.
And I'm including his scrap V Martin King in Willy's testimonial too.

Agree with all that's been said really - Matts o/t winner; Bruce's one man penalty kill and best of all the 4-2 win and everything that went before it on 'Dave Page' night
On a lighter note and for pure comedy gold, i'd like to nominate Andre the Donkey for his trip/stumble into the penalty box in the 2nd home match v Newcastle. You'd think he'd know his way really. Oh and in the same category - Ashleys Taits tantrum. Bless him ;D

Tessier's goal in the first league game at home with Sheffield, a rocket of a one-timer off the underside of the cross-bar after a great pass from Corey Neilson. We were 4-3 down at that point and went on to win 5-4 (if memory serves).

Hmm Cooks shorthanded goal v Phoenix in the Play Offs Molins 'diving on his back goal' v Newcastle All of the 4-2 Sheff game (except their goals of course ) Cooks 1 on 1 goal in Sheff that tied it a 3 Myers and Bergins GWGs in the first 2 home Steeler games Jade's great solo goal v Giants in Nov i think

Got to be Molins Ovechkin esque goal vs Vipers where he was on his back, unreal. this. along with bruce's one man penalty kill, along with the vipers game where i sat behind their bench and gave them grief all night, in particular berating payette for the aforementioned trip.

When you start thinking about this it's really hard.
Galbraith's hat-trick goal v. Giants
Cook's SH goal v Manchester
Bruce's first fight with Finnerty
Dave Page tribute.
Pretty well any time Molin's on the ice: his skating is a thing of beauty.
But I'm going to go for that save Robinson made right at the end of the Manchester play-off game. Everyone saw the puck going in, only it didn't, and there was a momentary hush in the stands as everyone thought, "where's the puck - bloody hell he's saved it".

For me beating the Panthers in the playoff final has to be theee highlight of the season! To shut em out in their own barn and take the trophy was awesome. Also, the first game V the Panthers at home when we battered em was also very memorable game.........Wait, just checks, wrong forum sorry guys!
