Take it from a Storm fan, Neilson is not a good enough hockey player to warrant a place in this league. Absolutely amazing guy off the ice and great in the community, but not good enough on the ice unfortunately.

This guy looks pretty good, put in some excellent performances in the World Championships by the looks of things. 40 saves against Austria (who only scored 1 passed him), 46 saves against Hungary, etc all teams that will most likely comfortably beat GB next year (heck, Austria beat South Korea 5-0 and Poland 11-0!). I don't think he'll look out of place in the EIHL at all.
Highlights of his games for Ukraine (I was hoping these would be links, rather than embedded...):

Frazee will presumably be leaving, given Ljubljana are moving from EBEL to the Alps Hockey League. I have heard (from a Slovenian) that Ljubljana are notorious for not paying their players on time

Neil Russell doesn't seem to think the Storm are in trouble and says the rumours are not true. As a Storm fan, I prefer the 3x4 system with Storm, Blaze, Lightning, Flames. All 3 of these teams are closer than the nearest Scottish team (i.e. better than the current setup) and would bring more away fans than Caps, Stars, and Flyers (Clan bought a fair few). Also, Storm's title sponsor is a bus company. For the fans coaches they are put on at cost, I'd imagine it would be the same for the team (or possibly free of charge in exchange for the sponsorship). Therefore I don't think it's the cost of travel that would be the problem for Storm. I think both Storm and Blaze would prefer to be in a conference with Panthers and Steelers for the away fans. Blaze might not be happy in a different conference to Cardiff either, as their attendances are also high. (league games only team-by-team average attendances for this season can be found here: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lQ6YA-z9a7k9KaW25VO8u8qdQgPpg9qv4oh3h9THZn8/edit?usp=drives do) The problem is that there is such a large disparity in the league, and what suits one set of teams doesn't necessarily suit other sets of teams. In other leagues, disparities are covered by league-wide sponsorship etc, which obviously the EIHL doesn't have

Nathan Craze was goalie coach at Hull this year (As well as the GB teams), he spent a short amount of time with Brian Stewart when he was going through a bit of a slump this season. I think he is the only dedicated goalie coach in the senior leagues in this country

At what date do the players need to be under 23? Brad Day is 23 in June. Born 1994 or later

Former NHL & EIHL goalies: Chris Holt played some brief minutes in the NHL, taking part in 2 games. Daren Machesney (also former Braehead) got dressed as backup I think, but never got on the ice. Scott Fankhouser (played for Manchester Phoenix in 07-08) played 23 games for the Thrashers in the NHL (he also played for the Greenville Grrrowl, which is a fantastic team name). Tom Askey (former Nottingham 07-08) also played 7 games in the NHL for the Ducks. Phil Osaer may have dressed as backup or in a preseason game. DeRouville played 3 games in the NHL. Former Belfast netminder Mike Minard played 1 game for the Oilers. Cody Rudkowski (Edinburgh 09-10) played part of 1 game for St. Louis.
There might be others that I've missed, but they're the only ones I could find!

Yunost Minsk of the Belarussian league beat Vaxjo & Boleslav (Czech) in the CHL this season, and qualified for the first knock out round where they got beaten by Frolunda 7-3 on aggregate, they beat them at home 3-2. There does seem to be quite a disparity from the top to the bottom of the league though, HK Brest sit bottom with 1 regulation win and 3 OT wins from 29 games! Minsk, on the other hand, have lost 3 in regulation and 1 in OT from their 29 games. Robinson played for Soligorsk who are 15 points (5 wins) off the top in joint 3rd.

The final round will have 2 from Ritten (Italy), Shakhtyor Soligorsk (Belarus), and Beibarys Atyrau (Kazakhstan).
Ritten sit on 6 points and play Soligorsk (3 points), Beibarys Atyrau also have 3 points and play Tychy who have 0 points

It sounds as though Orli can recall him in the event of injury to their starting netminders, and there is a possibility Orli will have training camp or other activities with the Panthers (google translation!) Article: www.hcorli.cz/clanek.asp?id=Nahradni-golmani-Orlu-se-vydavaji-do-zahranici-5636Translated bits about Pacl: ""With Nottingham act as well as opportunities for further cooperation in terms of training camps and other activities," he implied Eagles Pavel Ohera. Panthers is one of the leading British hockey clubs, the reigning Elite League in season 2014/15 they played Champions League and last year their average attendance exceeded 5,900 spectators per match. In Znojmo squad remains an elite pair goalie Marek Schwarz - Patrik Nechvátal. "We agreed that at the training units and training we can use shot from the youth team. In the case of Henry PACL there is a clause that allows us to download it back," said club president Paul Ohera. "Of course if there would be a longer-term problem with one of our goalies, we are ready to operatively act," he added."

Davies will probably end up there until his ECHL camp starts (and afterwards assuming he doesn't get a roster spot). Talk of McCluskey signing for them as well, but no idea if it's true. Netminder is rumoured to be Shane Owen.
Not sure why they've not announced any Brits yet, I guess they do things differently up there. I'd expect many of the usual Brits back there next season

I think it has to do with limited or unlimited ITCs. I'm not totally sure, hopefully they get back to you!

I believe Simmsey said that Nottingham Arena no longer wanted to open on boxing day, hence that game always being in Sheffield. Not 100% sure though
