about us competing with the bigger boys of Europe surely his eyes must have been opened this season, as we couldn't compete in our own league. To do what he wants he will have to put in place professionals in areas who know what there doing. So if nothing changes I would take it that he really is not telling us the whole truth. My thinking is, he would like a team in Europe however, he wants someone else to do all the setting up to make it happen and he would put cash into it. Will it be the Panthers, if nothing changes then we know the answer to that.

Black maybe a good business man but he is not a hockey man. Off ice staff are some of the weakest kinks in the organization and have far too much impute into the on ice product

He's taking Europe very seriously.........with his London khl team Neil,Black has absolutely nothing to do with the KHL London team. He was planning on an EIHL team but that's been put on hold due to an investment banker winning the franchise for the KHL. No one penny of Neil Black's is going into this team.

No one penny of Neil Black's is going into this team. Really, can you guarantee that? YES!!! The KHL team was mentioned at the Fan Forum and the table, including Neil Black, were not keen on a KHL team in London and said it was a distraction. None of them have any involvement. Apparently it is a rich investment banker who is behind this venture, but they currently do not have a proper venue to play out of. Neil Black did say he is putting an EIHL team in London, playing out of Wembley in the 2019/20 season. He said he wanted to do it sooner, but Wembley Arena needs ten weeks worth of work, to make it suitable to host ice hockey matches and that getting a gap of ten weeks is not so easy in such a busy venue. However, it is on the cards and it will happen.

Do any clubs in the EIHL have a dedicated Goalie coach? The reason I ask is because if we do end up signing an u23 Brit goalie, it would be smart if we could get someone to develop him and create some competition with the import starter, possibly pushing whoever is the backup to become our starting Goalie in a few years time. It would put us at an advantage to the other teams as well.
It would be a smart investment, it would need the extra funding from Black but you reap what you sow. Just a thought.

Nathan Craze was goalie coach at Hull this year (As well as the GB teams), he spent a short amount of time with Brian Stewart when he was going through a bit of a slump this season. I think he is the only dedicated goalie coach in the senior leagues in this country

For a goalie coach why not ask Kowalski, the guy was one of, if not the best, import NM in the EIHL. Don't know what he is up to right now though.

Rasto,is a goalie coach, that's his full time job. Can't get much better than an ex Slovakian international netminder.
They should pay to bring him over several times a year,it wouldn't cost silly money.

Can't really see any attraction to the government to allowing something so close to Putin to operate in the capital.

The government has been more than happy to have 'legal' Russian money flowing through London for years. I'd be surprised if they even noticed a KHL team, let alone cared about it.

Mr Black has no involvement with the KHL. It's a previously unknown (in U.K. Hockey circles), stonkingly rich banker.

This is a government that is doing arms deals with very unsavoury people just so they can say they have post Brexit trade deals in place. You think they care if money coming in is linked to Putin or Ghandi?? Putin and people much worse than him already have deep links and influence within London. You'd be very naive to think otherwise. Nobody cares who you are if you have the money.

Whilst BigLads list could be considered a little fanciful , he has hit the nail on the head. For the on-ice team, apart from the Head Coach and Assistant Coach the 2 most important positions are Strenth/Conditioning Coach and the Physio. Feel free to disagree with Me but the number of injuries we have and the amount of time our players are not playing is due to weakness's in this area. You have to pay good whack for top notch guys , but the payback far outweighs any salary. A player can't win games in the treatment room!
Good Marketing Managers and website/Social media people are a must - but again we have a website which at times looks like it's been updated by a primary school child who has it as a project. We have the same sponsors year after year, sponsors should be lining up to join Panthers , but It appears that the Club are happy with what they have got.
There is too much off ice complacency - it the club can make a profit its happy - Arsenal fans to their cost are seeing what happens when just making a profit is the primary objective of a Club.
