Signing news tomorrow am then? I hope so! im going away on wednesday for a week so hopefully it will be announced tomorrow or wednesday morning! I reckon it will be the 2nd line winger/1st line centre (depending how you saw the last signing of wellanberg) because the signing of rees would have put the last D-man signing back a bit until next week i presume. Is anybody feeling a return of another former panther? or somebody new to the league? hopefully it will be somebody who can back Ryan up when needed, who can fight if needed. Because as people have mentioned before we do look a little light on our toes. somebody similar to ryan finnerty would be great. a niggly little guy who grafts and works and gets under the opponants skin owuld be ideal.

Aslong as its someone who will help us win the league i aint bothered. Lol. Both positions need some toughness. A gritty winger and a big d-man with a good shot to help corey on the powerplay and both to help shmyr kick some backsides if needed!

I too want toughness... but not another fighter.
We've got Ryan Shmyr, we don't need anyone else as a dedicated enforcer. IMHO we need either or both players to be able to give and receive hits... toughness and strength rather than outright aggression.
If we assume that Molin and Wallenberg are both going to be employed as wingers (possibly a bit of an assumption, if the reports of Wallenberg being used as centre recently are accurate) then I think we need a big, face-off-winning playmaker centre and a big, tough stay-at-home D-man.
We shall see...

agreed. Although stats are not everything for a D-man to put up number like this in a league which is a much better standard than ours i reckon vipers have signed a real gem. Just to clarify, if stancok a stay-at-home D-man? because if so he would probably replace rees? and we jsut need someone now like Reid Simonton (yes i know he's retired!) who can crash and bash around but also score a reasonable amount of points. But nevertheless a great catch for vipers and im sure he could be among the top D-man point scoerers this season?

Just a thought...
A fair few people have been expressing concern that we might have left things a little too late for the last couple of signings.
Just looking at the two signings announced today - Manchester and Newcastle - it sort of reassures me... as a couple of people have said, there are plenty of good players still out there, and they could well even be a bit cheaper than a month or two ago, since they'll be wanting a team to play on and time is running out for them as well as teams.
Just going on the stats (which don't tell the whole story, I know - but it's a start) both of those signings look like good ones. No reason to think our remaining ones couldn't be at least as good.
Could be worth waiting for... (anyone else thinking Thursday/Friday now?)

Anyone know if Craighead is still 'retired' and running his training camps or is there a chance he might still be an option? That would make my season!
