So did the new boy get a point this weekend, say compared to the steelers signing who scored on his debut.... No, cuz he's crap.

Brilliant! Good starting point for next season having those 2 back. It's also interesting to note that we only used 2 of the uni deals as apposed to 3 last season. It is only good if it is just brown without Lawrence and Carter in tow with him!

With regards to the progression of the KHL team I understand that it is in fact a differen ownership group setting up the team independent from Neil Black because of delays in him taking action with his granted license to set up the team, this is merely speculation but something from one of th various grapevines

As a league run event ultimately I don't think the powers that be will care who buys tickets where as long as the bowl is full with as many paying customers as possible come the actual event!

Sad day for the players!
For the "6 teams you're havin a laugh" fans from that playoff weekend and a number of their self righteous fan base... couldn't be happier it's happened to them!

What's the relevance of his holiday location though? Do you know his toilet schedule too? When you ask questions like 'I wonder why Neil Black hasn't commented on the Continental Cup win?' and get the answer 'Oh he's on holiday in India' I don't understand how that is considered 'stalking' in the slightest. I didn't ask any question about why he hadn't commented on the continental cup win

aren't there laws against stalking? It's called having spoken to someone who knows him and having seen him at games previously. What's the relevance of his holiday location though? Do you know his toilet schedule too?

I'm more amazed he's actually coming to a game !!! When he's not on his holidays to India he comes every so often, maybe once or twice in every ten games but keeps a low profile and will sit amongst fans as nobody who doesn't research him won't know what he looks like. He usually answers questions when put on the spot too. aren't there laws against stalking?

NOTE... Sheffield lose two important games to them. Now they are looking out to ADD to the squad. THIS meeting has come , I believe, as a knock on effect from the Trust's formation. To heal any wounds caused of recent.. They were probably already looking at players before this weekend, it's just a convenient way for them to appear to be addressing the situation on the back of 2 defeats

every single year this comes up! would you rather be behind 1 highly organised person buying 40 seats with all the money and tickets ready or 40 people in the queue? either way you're waiting the same amount of time. No (you asked) not even if 'highly organised'. I can see 40 people and perhaps come back later. So in all reality then whats the issue? If you're gonna get a ticket in the end

The 6 ticket rule doesn't apply to season ticket holders. As long as you have valid season tickets with you, you can have as many seats as you have season tickets. The 6 per person rule only applies from February 1st Great until your behind that person in that queue. every single year this comes up! would you rather be behind 1 highly organised person buying 40 seats with all the money and tickets ready or 40 people in the queue? either way you're waiting the same amount of time.

Waugh is key for that but will he be back? No idea.....probably depends how the University dissertation is coming along ! 😉 I'm glad you've said this, heard it from a few and thought it might be far fetched even by panthers' standards, obviously not!

Wow! The meeting couldn't have gone better, great turnout, very positive questions and comments. A really good base has now been set to allow us to progress and move on to the next stage. What do you hope the trust will genuinely achieve? I have seen comments that the club must acknowledge the existence of the trust as a legal entity when official and that means meeting a minimum twice per year but in all honesty what do you hope to achieve from the meetings? Just because they are obliged to meet you doesn't mean they are obliged to do anything for/with you. Whilst I wish you all the luck I honestly can't help but feel this is a futile exercise.

Left the arena feeling properly deflated. No intensity at all. Can't blame dan green, he's hardly played. Really you can't blame him? Honestly he was dreadful! Not even close to 3 of the goals he conceded!

Dan green lost us that game, some may say it's harsh but every goal he let in was soft, it's undeniable. However plenty of others contributed towards the downfall, one of those key players Brad Moran! He wasted 2 gilt edged chances on the power play at the end of the game and right before he turned the puck over for the winner.
It's brilliant to have Schultz back, his offensive prowess is key to us but again he turns the puck over a lot when trying to dangle past one D man too many or a no luck pass, hopefully this gets nipped in the bud sharpish.
There are positives from the game though, getting a point in the circumstances with the netminders is good, Williams is showing his class, betteridge again put in a good performance (bar a miss timed line change for Blazes first goal).
All in all 9 points from the past week is a good return so hopefully we bounce back against Caps on Monday with a win to keep some momentum going.

based on our current run and Blaze's inability to close games our recently i fancy us to buck the recent trend of us struggling in the sky dome and i hope this isnt a case of "after the lord mayors show".
we need to be better at clearing the zone first time to prevent blaze building pressure on us for prolonged periods like we allowed steelers to do. we have created plenty of chances recently so if we are clinical and can get an early goal to not allow Stewart to find his feet we should get a win here. it would be brilliant to get 6 from 6 over the festive period start back at the dundee game and hopefully we avoid this banana skin as i fancy us to win the next 2 home games.

a very similar performance to boxing day, struggled to clear the zone at times and missing some quality to finish off some chances created, however one shining light of quality is Jason Williams, brilliant first 2 games and when he is fully match fit he will really tear it up i'm sure.
Wiikman again kept us in the game with some to class saves a well deserved MOM tonight.
the difference we have seen in the last 2 games is we have battled from first to last whistle, this has got reaction from the crowd as its easier to reciprocate the effort levels when the players are trying!
a great 4 points to get against steelers, and with some extra bodies to come back it will only help us for the remainder of the season.

it was a close game that lacked an edge but ultimately we battled hard, played for each other for the most part and deserved the win.
both netminders put in brilliant performances to prevent it being about a 25-24 scoreline.
Macmillan & McGrattan were brilliant today, i wasnt impressed with Lawrence too sloppy, we really need to improve how we clear the zone, too many times we played ourselves into trouble.
levi nelson must need his skates sharpening or he is trying to recreate the olympic high diving on each shift he plays.

Couple of points on Steve Lee tonight: 1. Fantastic effort when he killed the full 2 minutes of a penalty in the 2nd. 2. He's done as a rough player, he let Doucet full on punch him and did nothing! Not a thing! The concussions have obviously had a massive effect on him! Such a shame as he was a much more effective player with that edge to his game.

numbers were probably down due to the forest game also tonight. I followed this game with Panthers Hockey live. sounded we dominated throughout. keep it quiet but isn't that 3 W's in a row now? Alex Nikiforuk's second goal sounded a superman style Hope though we get Dimmers and Waugh back for the semi's or it could be a new name on our trophy (hope not) Numbers cannot be attributed to forest as they had their lowest crowd since 2008 tonight

Slight change of topic, but, I thought Ollie played really well last night, especially in the 3rd! He's certainly improving. Ironic that Ben Davies scored 1+1, given that general opinion said he wasn't good enough for us. Lacho as scored 1+1 in a game before and look how he's turned out

We've booked an apartment virtually in the grounds of the arena, I emailed them about bars restaurants etc and there looks to be a few around within a five minute walk. Its only a little town so it going to wonder whats hit it when Panthersnation turns up. Hope the bars are well stocked. £35 return for flights and £125 for 5 nights accomodation. Yay! You're coming to this round then? I would say so as they've said they've booked
