Brown, McGrattan, Clarke, Farmer, Wiikman. Maybe Spang, maybe Lindhagen, maybe Williams if he can recover. The rest can go and revamp the brit pack.

Keep:
If I was Corey I'd be very keen to hold onto Brown, Nikiforuk, Farmer, Lindhagen, Clarke and Betteridge. They all show up every night and grind their asses off, Betteridge is not in the same calibre as the others, but I think he is quite valuable as a semi-decent Brit that is improving. I'd offer Brown the Captain's spot if he wanted it.
McGrattan, Pacl, Dimmen, Spang, Schultz, Waugh and Williams I would be happy to see stay under the right circumstances. Dependent on injuries, whether we get a Strength and Conditioning coach back and what the locker room chemistry is like, which I'll likely never know.
Indifferent to MacMillan, Lachowicz, Sertich, Moran and Wiikman. Wouldn't be in any rush to gas them without a decent replacement lined up. Miika is incredible at times, but his fitness and injury status possess questions about his longevity. Moran iirc said this was his last season?
Gas:
Carter, Lee and Lawrence. Popular picks for this forum I'd guess. Unfortunately I find it hard to imagine Lee being gassed, I can more likely imagine him being offered the captaincy tbh from what I've seen. I'd like to see the lines be played around with a little before the playoffs to give Carter one last chance to shine. But Larry I have lost faith in, not worth the hassle.
There's my irrelevant opinion and at the end of the day, the season isn't over and players can still prove themselves, which I always hope they will.
Also bring back Kudroc...

Keep
Brown McGrattan Farmer Clarke Williams (if fit) Lindhagen Pacl (as backup) Nikiforuk
Rest can go including Wiikmam, yes he is good when he is fit but still think we can upgrade. I like the look of Owen up in Fife. The D is a tough one, are Spang and Sertich good enough and just overworked? I have no idea tbh. Revamp the Brits, think with the import limit as it is we could spend our budget on better imports.

Keep; Brown: Always shows passion and fight and is decent in most areas of his game. Lindhagen: Primarily as a forward, fast, hard working and has great hands. McGrattan: May not be the energy kind of guy but park him in front of the net and place him with the right guys he's dangerous. Sertich: Can be a little weak at points but is the best of the offensive style D men we have, can quarter back the PP well. Wiikman: If he can keep as fit as this season and have an upgraded D in front he could again be the or one of best netties in the league. Pacl: Know what were getting for an import backup/spare, he's young and still developing but also very passionate about the game and can be trusted when resting Miika. Clarke: Natural goals scorer and a Brit, if he's got another couple seasons in him I'd think he'd be here for them. Betteridge: Still coming along but is showing development and confidence. Williams: If he recovers well enough after his surgery and with a summer to prepare it'd be nice to get a full season from him as he's still a class above most. Nikiforuk: Great hands, plays with energy and full commitment.
Gas; Carter: I was hoping for an impressive guy. Great hands but nothing else, don't know why he's still here. Lawrence: I like the guy and been a fan of him but he's too inconsistent and his apparent off-ice attitude seems to be growing. Spang: Defended him due to the minutes he's had to play but his decision making is terrible and costly and embellishing is ridiculous. Lee and Lacho: Obvious reasons but they'll be staying as they're Brits. Moran: Seems to be a bit hit and miss but he's retiring anyway.
Unsure: Macmillan: Prefer him as a D man personally rather than a forward, off-ice attitude is apparently bad. Waugh and Dimmen: Like them both and would have them back but injury issues so unsure. Schultz: One of the best forwards in the league when fit but spends more time out than playing.

Wiikman Green Spang Clarke Lachowicz Nikiforuk McGrattan Schultz Brown Farmer Lindhagen Betteridge Williams
Only keeping Lachowicz because there really isn't many British players that are available to the Panthers and unfortunately we need them until the import limit has been scratched. Dan Green is kept because he's highly thought of in the dressing room, not good enough to be a coach and not good enough to be a player but doesn't do any harm to anybody, unless he's on the ice! He'd be pretty fantastic doing the commentary/analysis one day.
Really struggle to see past Lawrence and the crap he brings to the dressing room - my highlight of this season was Corey telling the team they're banned from drinking, all players accepting it and Lawrence telling him to **** off before ending the night completely smashed, a night before an away game.

I'd be keeping Brown, Nikiforuk, McGrattan, Farmer, Clarke, Betteridge, Spang (provided his form holds up), Linghagen, Williams, Lacho, Lee, Wiikman and Dimmen. I feel these are key pieces for all 4 lines and slots on D for transition and the signings should be made to compliment these guys and boost them. Many won't agree on Lacho however his point production has been on the up and for a bottom six forward he's been so much better than people will let themselves recognise. He's settled into his role at center well and has been winning faceoffs and for guy to transition into center is nothing to turn your nose up at. Lee because i feel he is valuable however he is not being utilised correctly by Corey, you can't turn a stay at home, physical dman into a rushing transitional player and be used on the top PP unit. lower his minutes and let him play that simple defensive game and we'll see better results on his part.
The rest i feel have proven themselves over the course of the season, Nikiforuk or Brown should be given the C, they turn up and lead by example.

Only import i'd be dissapointed to lose would be Brown.
McGratton is back so use his as a power forward and sign an energy guy.
Spang. You can see his class. Hope he doesn't have to log as many minutes.
Lindhagen. Speed and Versitility.
The 4 above are the only wants for me.
Wiikman, Schultz & Willaims in the same catagory. All good quality but their fitness issues cost us.
Maybe: Sertich & Dimmen. Need to upgrade the D. At least 2 new imports needed.
Some of the above and all of the rest are upgradable.
Do what they need to do with the Brit pack. Farmer is the only must.
Don't quite get why everybody is so keen on Nikiforuk. Don't get me wrong I like his work ethic but Steve Lee tries hard. As far as league stats go him and Carter are almost identical. He doesn't bring enough else to score so few points. Perhaps if he could become more of an adgitator then he'd add more value.

Why are we looking to keep so many players. This years team has been shocking & is not even close to chl standard
Keep Brown - plays hard every night Williams - showed his class when fit and made us a better team. Farmer - been class all season keep at all cost Mcgrattan - now settled has been brilliant.
Not fussed Wiikman - can't play a full season Nikiforuk - not big enough Pacl - not sure if we need 2 imp netties if can get a fully fit starter Lacho - as a defensive forward has done a job Ollie - getting better the more he has played.
Gas Green - better young Brits around Dimmen - can't stay fit, not big enough Sertich - not good enough Spang - was expecting big things just has not produced it. Waugh - can't stay fit Lee - one head injury too many. Clarke - Can't stay fit Schultz - made of glass Carter - not good enough for the caps. Lawrence - likes his pop to much Lindhagen - better around Moran - retireing Macmillan - been better on defence need better tho.
Chl next season the team needs upgrading a lot other we will get smashed in every game.

Why are we looking to keep so many players. This years team has been shocking & is not even close to chl standard Absolutely, but is the main problem with the team a lack of skill? We have some quality players, we also have a lot of dead weight. Gas the injury prone, the (seemingly) lazy and the Lee, revamp the coaching situation and I think there is a decent-ish core to build around without rocking the boat too much. Get a couple of big D's, a high energy grinder/enforcer and spend a little money on some young European forwards who won't spend the whole season on the bench. Then I think we'd have a squad that might compete. I'm trying forcing enthusiasm to hype myself for Saturday, so maybe I'm not thinking straight haha.

Sertich was a 50/50 keeper for me Pidge.
I like him,he works hard,he's got a good stick at breaking up plays and can pick a good pass. Think he's not being allowed to play his going forward game though, because of Neilsons inability to build a proper defence he's having to play a more stay home role.
I'd like to see him and Spang each paired with a tough Jason Beckett type hard nosed stay home D man.

Never going to challenge for the league with Wiikman. He's too brittle and gives up on supposedly easier games (often will let in 3 or 4 softies against an Edinburgh or Dundee on a Tuesday night).
Put him in on a cup final and he turns in to Henrik Lundqvist... sort of sums up Neilson's hockey.

Brown-make him captain lindhagen-versatile forward mcgrattan farmer-import quality betteridge-improving slowly but surely pacl-back up clarke
the rest can go for me carter-just not good enough lee-obvious reasons lacho-same as above sertich-not good enough nikiforuk-love his attitude but no quality schultz- I wince everytime he's touched lawrence- hot and cold spang- looks like a frustrated forward wiikman-not consistent enough dimmen-another one made of glass waugh- same as above green- reminds me of the black beetle song (manikin challenge) better brits around than him

This might of already been done. I wonder which player(s) will sign, but end up NOT coming anyway. Because that's not happened before, has it?

Brown, Lindhagen and the Farmer/McGrattan pairing. The rest you could upgrade on easily bumping into someone in a Canadian pub and having a chat for ten minutes.

Mmmm, and there may even be players who we don't sign, because our esteemed coach thought were well out of our reach.....so he didn't even try !
Just like very nearly happened with a certain signing this year.

You can change ALL of the imports and we will have to if we are to make any sort of showing in the CHL. Which must have been the point behind the push for the CC, knowing that we would get back in the CHL. We struggled for 4 out of the 6 games last time with a FAR better team than this year. Brown's been ok, and we talk MsGrattan up but he won't have an effect in the CHL games, the game will pass him by.

Keep brown very hard working plays the dirty areas well Mcgratten his presence protects us to an extent he holds up the puck well and he has proven he can score. Not a cam though need a big hitter to come in. Farmer really impressive this year works great with mcgratten. Nikiforuk good player with skilled team around him could be even better. Gritty never backs down exactly the right attitude. Lindhagen good on d good on offence hard working impressive yet distracting hair. Miika, very good goal tender can let his head drop though, frustrated by poor defence this year. Pacl passionate and talented and young. Betteridge getting better and more confident If he isn't going to be a coach permanently Clarke, goal scoring threat feisty aggressive and a great role model. Macmillan good utility player ideally a healthy scratch
Gas Lee poor again and again a liability Lachowitz brings little to the team honestly Lawrence too boozed up half the time to see the puck poor attitude Schultz on his day best forward but far to injury prone which when he was one of our only goal scorers cost us big time. Spang made too many errors and his theatrical nature is embarrassing. Carter largely invisible, bought in to get the best out of lawrence failed, was said to be a good goal scorer failed. Huge disappointment. Green, not good enough on the ice make coach or commentator Moran rumours he is retiring
Unsure Dimmen and waugh Sertich
Captain brown Mcgratten A Farmer A
Next year skilled scorers tighten up on d bring in a big hitter. Hire strength and conditioning coach and for God sake sort out the tactics!

In no particular order, Wiikman, Pacl, Brown, McGrattan, Farmer & Nikiforuk & Lindhagen as returnees.
I'd stay clear of Clarke, Lee & Schultz due to injuries; I've got a lot of time for David Clarke & he's been a very good servant for this team, therefore maybe move him into the coaching side.

Keep:
Farmer - Best brit we have currently Brown - does everything, make him captain Nikiforuk - little in stature but plays with his heart on his sleeve and has skill Lindhagen - most underrated player we have, quietly goes about his business and gets stuck in Waugh (If fit) - i like Waugh personally, has been unlucky with injuries Dimmen (If fit) - same as Waugh Clarke - ageing yes, but throws himself around more than he used to, better work rate, and always likely to score Lee - yes hes not been at his best, and has been a liability, but who else do you bring in? Schultz - if he stayed fit he'd be one of the best players in the league, only reason to let him down.
the rest for me can go, we can upgrade in so many areas
