The game is simply summed up as a team with nothing to play for being beaten by a team with something to play for.
Fullerton kept stars in it in the first then we didn’t make him work at all.
The frightening thing is the amount of people that still seemingly care so much that they were nigh on having a heart attack during the game.
The season is over, has ultimately been bitterly disappointing which was clearly on show last night.

Garnett will as he’s on a uni deal. The only ones I think would be a possibility are:- Galbratih Sauve Perlini Mosey Gagnon Billingsley Brown Pither I’d add Derlago to that list as well, they are the core of the team and if we bring in improved additions then we’d have a better team. I wouldn’t want Derlago back. Too many times he’s had the chance to take games by the scruff of the neck and have influence that his pedigree would suggest he should be having on games at this level.

Finnerty won’t be coming here I wouldn’t think. His best pal is one of the owners group.

Countless cups, playoff glory, a league championship, successful European campaigns & deservedly has his number retired. Corey Neilson IS a Panthers legend however after such consistent domestic struggles in the league, todays announcement is the logical outcome to his tenure.

That wouldn't be unique to them. I mean have you heard the NIC when someone lays out a clean hit on a Panther or one merely falls over near an opponent? Yes I have it’s embarrassing but even MK put that to shame.

Nice to round off a 4 point weekend.
The MK back up is not the reason they lost the game... the way they defended in front of him was. Offered no support, gave up so many odd man rushes for us to have back door chances that even Wiikman would’ve struggled with! They did the exact opposite of what they should’ve done with a back up in. No wonder they are 2nd bottom. Also a fan base full of people seemingly not able to grasp the concept hockey is a contact sport.
Our players should hopefully get some confidence from spreading goals and points around. We were at risk of losing because we switched off in the 2nd as we often do.
Whilst it doesn’t make up for the shoddy past couple of months a 4 point weekend is more than welcomed

For as close as it was in the end after a solid first period I’m kind of glad because it forced us to battle to the very end and it’s always a timely reminder for the team that hockey is a full 60 minute game. It was amazing to see what happens when we shoot the puck and have someone in front to sweep up rebounds. Bowns is poor, I don’t rate him, can’t catch anything, like mustukovs his defence hide his shortcomings and when they weren’t performing it was clear to see how he isn’t all that. The fight was brutal, 2 warriors heads down and swinging. Faryna is tough, took a run at Gagnon knowing full well what would come next and held his own throughout. I would take him any day at our club. Derlago was lethargic tonight, just didn’t seem with it. Bussieres took a great goal in the first but then fanned on an open net again in the 2nd. Overall it was an entertaining game with the right outcome which after all the dross of recent weeks is all we could really ask for. God you are so wrong about Bowns, he may have had a stinker last night, but he has won many games for the Devils with truly outstanding displays. He was a huge factor in us winning the league last season, that’s why Lord had no hesitation bringing him back, also on top of him being a very good player, he is British, allowing us to have a extra import outskater. As for Mustukovs, he certainly is one of the best netminders in the league, and complimenting Steelers players don’t come easy to me. I don’t think I am wrong about bowns, for the performances I have seen of him (granted not as many as yourself but it’s all I can personally go on) I do not understand the fan fare and I wouldn’t be particularly happy if we signed him, brit or not.

They should contact the Panthers to get the OK to do a bucket collection on Saturday. 6000 fans, even if only a quarter of them chuck in £1 it pays for the replacement equipment and the rest can either be pumped into the club, maybe to pay for travel for a couple of away games, or gets donated to charity. Maybe this is something the trust could help with, as I believe at one point it was said they were a trust for all levels of hockey in Nottingham unless this standpoint has changed

It's extremely difficult to be motivated for this game based on recent form.
the league is gone, so i at the very least would settle for some elements of entertainment and a bit of passion/effort from the players. whilst those positively patronizing ex players tell us that there is always passion and effort from the players it would actually be nice to see it.

Wow! They are some scary numbers. But what do fans know? Seriously, this club stinks right now! Oakford & Green will have heart attacks when they see fans actually might have facts on their side too! Facts won’t mean anything to them because after all fans are stupid aren’t they?!?

Only 6 league games, another strange signing. Like when McAslan came back for a handful. So who would you have in charge next season? Somebody who has passion and isn't afraid to kick players backsides and also stand up to Moran and Black......never going to happen though ! Of those in this league,I'd say Pete Russell or Ryan Finnerty would be the only realistic candidates. You wouldn't move Lord,Thompson or Keefe and wouldn't want any of the others. But I'd be happy to try a coach we've never heard of. My first choice from who we know,if he has the coaching credentials needed......Brock Wilson. I don’t get the whole Brock Wilson Love in. All he does is say things many have said before and will no doubt say again. He also only ever seems to appear when there’s chance to promote his own agendas. I’d rather have someone completely new to the organisation however I believe it’ll just likely be someone from within like usual.

Winning is all that matters currently, it was laboured but we got there.
One thing that is becoming a concern is the amount of cross slot breakout passes we are attempting and getting intercepted. We don’t need to do this and is putting us at unnecessary risks of conceding.
Other than that nothing too noteworthy so just satisfied to take the 2 points.

The starting netminder is the big decision for this game considering we have Cardiff on Saturday and Galbraith has just played 3 in a week after time off injured.
I’d play Garnett on Saturday as I feel we will have enough to get the win even taking into consideration Garnett’s inconsistency. He’s good enough to win us games but at times he can let in a few soft ones and put us out of a game.
I’d be happier Galbraith playing in Cardiff as he’s more consistent and rarely concedes more than 2 so will keep us competitive in that game.
Whilst the recent games don’t mask December we have shown battling qualities and increasing confidence, the 6 goals against MK will help that even more should see us get the win here.

Fantastic? Brilliant? Excellent? Absolutely nowhere near these words. However it was a greatly improved performance where we were doing the things we hadn’t been in previous games.
Simple plays, finishing some hits and putting the puck on net are basics that we hadn’t been doing, we did it last night and it got us the result we deserved. We had numerous chances to put the game away sooner however I’m not surprised we struggled due to being low on confidence from the atrocious run of results.
Having Galbraith back is crucial for me, another start and another win. For as well as Garnett did recently I do not have the confidence in him to keep us in a close game the same way I do with Galbraith.
Tetlow did well with the shifts he had, did the tasks he was obviously instructed and I hope this is the start of him picking up a few more shifts in the back end of the season.
It was a hard worked win, and whilst we may not go on a massive winning run the effort levels showed yesterday must continue as that was the biggest change from the most recent games and it was refreshing to see!

This is a game for Bussieres to really step up, being brought in as a “power forward” I feel he hasn’t lived up to this at all and we lose a big physical factor with Gagnon being banned. Pacquette will potentially be able to run the show if he chooses knowing we have a big deterrent off the ice so it’s a good chance for Bussieres to step into that role. Hasn't Buss got a broken nose? Was wearing a full mask the other day. Unlikely he's going to mix it with Pacquette, unless he goes the Fitz route of course. He doesn’t necessarily have to fight but he can play more physically. He can hit more, get some scrums going etc. He needs to show that he won’t be pushed around if it comes to it.

Can't believe I missed out on paying £50 odd for that one. You’re so desperate to attend yet throw sly digs when the result/performance is bad. Good luck in getting your ban overturned, I can see the club folding very soon when this is the attitude your demonstrate.

Wouldn’t have thought so. We will always value your opinion no matter how often you change it. And that’s what’s wrong with TCW. It’s not a balanced true opinion,it’s a biased, one eyed one where Panthers just can do no wrong. Come on boys,it’s obvious at least some changes need making to this Panthers team or set up. Why does it need to be balanced? It’s an unofficial, fan run podcast. If you want a weekly panthers rant podcast I’m sure there are multiple platforms for you to do your own.

Pretty sure it was a show of displeasure about our performances, I'm also sure it was a Wednesday Night Challenge Cup game either so attributing a low attendance to a so called 'boycott' is clutching at straws a bit. Boycotts on a low scale get nowhere, you need a big scale one to catch attention and that's never going to happen. It's a stupid idea and the only ones who suffer from it is those who chose to 'boycott', won't affect the club whatsoever. Any further attempts to essentially force the removal of the ban will probably only make things worse imo, best to just leave it for a bit rather than keep pouring fuel on the fire by aggravating Black and GM. I wouldn't say it was clutching at straws. Bit of a coincidence that the previous game boycotted resulted in the lowest attendance by an absolute country mile ever seen at the NIC. Didn’t achieve much in the long run did it? Also I doubt that the majority of the fan base are not aware of Rob’s current situation so what would a so called boycott of a few hundred (trust members for example) really achieve? Bet they wouldn’t even notice.

Sevcik has been very quiet for a couple of months, mind you he only surfaces when there’s an axe to grind or he’s trying to dump someone in the poo poo. Obviously the players have been behaving themselves as that’s the only time you hear him. If anyone actually knows who he is in real life I could really use that recording of the Q&A as it would prove without any doubt that I wasn't even the slightest bit aggressive towards NB. Unfortunately Rob it won’t actually prove anything, what you have been accused of is entirely subjective an open to Neil black’s/the clubs interpretation and that is evidently where you are already struggling with them

Good game, good result. Spoilt by some excruciating officiating, is hicks biased or inept? If he's the former don't put him charge of games like this, if he's the latter then take him off the elite league officials list and send him to the lower or junior leagues. The character of the team is such as it didn't phase them and they upped the tempo to get the game won. Would have liked to have seen nelson be made to step up to the plate and noticed that Armstrong stayed away from Galbraith as well. We march on. What calls did hicks get wrong?

For me the whole penalty box argument is irrelevant. If we hadn’t have decided to go for a line change knowing full well people were due to leave the box we wouldn’t have been left as exposed on D
