This guy looks solid, the sort of thing we need in front of our netminding trio. Pleased with this signing.

Great pedigree, on paper an upgrade on Wiikman, great signing!
As the number one in what is likely to be the best netminding unit in the league I feel we are in a good shape in that department.
Due to the volume of games and varying degrees in quality of competition I can see there being a split in games for example Garnett getting CHL/Money conference/Cov&Clam games with Zakharchenko getting the others and gospel possibly getting Challenge cup games. Due to the quality of the netminders given each scenario I would be confident in this sort of arrangement as long as we sign a solid defence to compliment the heat set of goalies we have.

Honestly why would you want him? How do you realistically think he would improve our team? he's a good enforcer, he'd bring a bit of passion, similar to what Cam brought, something we lacked last season, I understand he's not going to put up points. Cam was loved by us and he wasn't a great, technical player. Just a thought Cam brought a passion on the ice with a fast hard hitting approach and held others on the team accountable with his attitude. He fought when it was necessary. Neilson is nowhere near the sort of player we need.

Eric Neilson to us, can't see both him and Rosehill being in Manchester, McGrattan doesn't seem to be coming back, I'd take him personally Honestly why would you want him? How do you realistically think he would improve our team?

Record stands up pretty good vs Bowns who has just won the League. I'm not a fan of bowns either. I thing he was helped by a stellar defence last season

Appreciate this will be unpopular round here - but is there any reason whatsoever why this guy shouldn't be the Number 1? Not good enough! He's a decent spare but compared to our recent number 1s in wiikman and kowalski he isn't in the same realm

I'm so happy we won the league when he wasn't around! Such a chump! And those fake tears from him when he left were pathetic!

For some reason the league DO NOT want to recruit a Commercial Director. If they did they would have done it by now. No reason why each conference couldn't have a sponsor and still have an overall sponsor for the league. The reason they didn't employ one is likely to be because they didn't want to it the going rate for one.

Very interesting and productive meeting last night. Also slightly epic at 3 and a half hours. We have made some progress on sponsorship and partnership deals which will be included in the membership package and have another meeting with a potential sponsor for the Trust tomorrow afternoon. As always please feel free to give me a call with any questions. Cheers Rob 07974 330553 What is the purpose of a sponsor to the trust?

I've spoken to them and I still do not understand the end goal. Having a better relationship isn't a tangible goal you can't quantify it as a success because it doesn't mean anything will change. The fact that the trust was "sold" for want as a better word with the thought things may stand a better chance of something changing because the club legally had to meet with the trust turned out to be a false dawn still makes me question the need for the trust when the club is financially stable and this is all born from the fact that not many players were here in time for last seasons preseason game when this is a regular occurrence for most preseasons. Not going to debate what anyone's idea of what seems tangible or not, I think it's a good start. Why is not having good relations a better thing for us fans. It's been so understandable in the past how the fans are held at arms length.Having a good banter with the club will be a change for starters. It's true that the club having to attend certain meetings was mentioned.I believe this is because it remains so in the sport of football but not Ice Hockey, we'd be the first. Most trusts are based around that game. Trusts were mainly born out of failing footy clubs and fans stepped in to help there clubs not go under. Nottingham Forest have a trust. They seem stable. The governing body seems happy with the idea of a trust. Forest seem stable?!?!? HAHAHAHAHAHA mans a comedian out here!!!

i still don't understand what the end goal of the supporters trust is. Reason to attend the meetings, read the website, call the organiser. But would not just having a better relationship with the club be ok? I've spoken to them and I still do not understand the end goal. Having a better relationship isn't a tangible goal you can't quantify it as a success because it doesn't mean anything will change. Brilliant letter from Clarkson - thanks for the link. With regards to the Trust, for those who don't know the paperwork to legally form the Trust went off last week. Very positive feedback from Supporters Direct and we hope to be able to report positive news shortly. Any positive feedback from Panthers yet ? i still don't understand what the end goal of the supporters trust is.

Despite all of Nikiforuks endeavours I wouldn't want him back, when in the past we've had Francis and Benedict in the same sort of role, Nikiforuk does not compare in quality, I would like to think we could do better.

Not sure i understand why unbelievable? I will certainly be cheering for Belfast, hell i'd even secretly cheer for Coventry if they were playing Sheffield. Why on gods green earth would Belfast give a toss about doing it for Miika though?!?

despite the circumstances that occurred during the game the quite simple fact is there was not enough passion, desire & simple will to win the game on display from the players today. that is why we lost the game!

The shift for the 4th goal is without a shadow of a doubt the most gloriously perfect piece of play I've ever seen! Yes indeed,it was rather gloriously, wonderfully spiffing. 😆 I've never known an enforcer get it so wrong all season as Fitzgerald has all season with Ern! You can't turn down fights at every opportunity until you wanna spot pick to suit your needs!

I alway get the impression that the import recruitment never seems to be anything but scramble to find 12 or 14 imports and not a lot thought in the role the each player is going to do for the club. For instance, getting proper center that can win faceoff and sending in the likes of Lacko or any other forward that as a hockey stick in his hand, CN alway wants to turn wingers into centers and forwards into D men This! Successful teams bring in players to perform specific functions, we don't!

This is where i'm at with Corey. Ive always defended him in the past. And i think he has been underated by alot of fans though the years. Having said that i've lost faith in him. Some of the coaching desicions over the last 2 seasons have been baffling. The constant line shuffling being a particular point of annoyance for me. And our sudden love of dump and chase hockey. Or as it often is the case, dump and no chase. Also feels like we sign a bunch of players this year and not a team. We dont have balance. And we dont seem to have signed guys that are going to complement each other. We've held onto players who clearly arent up to standard. Why has noone been replaced? Corey never had a problem gassing players before. What i dont understand is that we never had these problems with Corey before. I honestly dont know whats happened. But we have no doubt gone backwards. And i just dont believe Corey can get us going forward again. So for me hes got to go. The big change has been the sucking money out for the London KHL team and he knows this is the big picture. Quite interesting in last nights interview he refers to the team as 'they' not 'we' NB is no longer involved with the KHL franchise i believe. It is being led by the Zagreb organisation.

Easy for you to say that mate when you're living in Australia and haven't actually sat through the season! I sat through fifteen strait seasons and have spent more money than most, sat up at 4am most weeks watching on webcasts or sadly having to follow home games on bloody twitter. I may be in Australia but don't think for two seconds that I don't love this club. I don't think for a moment that you don't. Talking in isolation of this season quite frankly the criticism of Corey and this team is 100 % justified. As we are talking about that he fact you are in Australia is completely relevant again to this season, webcasts and Twitter are not even close to the point of having to have sat through it week on week in person.

I long for the days when a coach who'd won two major trophies the previous season and a historic European trophy in the current season would have been given some respect around here. Easy for you to say that mate when you're living in Australia and haven't actually sat through the season!
