As this season draws to a close, (the sooner the better) who if any of the imports do you think would deserve another season, I do like Lindhagen for his speed and he can play F or D, the new kid from Latvia Sarkanis only as line with Ollie & lacko, the rest can go.

We already have Spang, Brown and Mcagrattan signed for next yr and according to NB all the Brits are on long term deals.

Brown Mcgrattan Spang Lindhagen (possibly) Sertich (possibly) Wiikman (injury free)
I did notice a picture yesterday on Panthers Twitter of Henry Pacl in "his new Bauer goalie equipment". That suggests to me he's back next year, because there is no way Panthers would shell out for a new set of goalie gear at this stage of the season if he wasn't back ! 😉

If Sertich and Spang return next year and play like they did last night it will be car crash. Mistake after turnover after mistake !

Both decent players Pidge, but the pair of them have been playing stupid minutes all season because of management/coaching failings. They both need to play alongside a big solid stay home Dman. Our D is too small all round and Spang/Sertich are both getting battered every night.

It won't change next year. Spang will be over used as usual. Lee will continue to be given top minutes in all situations. They won't spend the money on a stud d man

I hope Sertich isn't re-signed, was expected to be 10x the player he has been. He's way too soft, isn't the PP QB we were supposed to be getting, doesn't seem very well integrated into the squad.
Waugh and Dimmen can both be the first to receive their final paycheque's, neither bring much to the team besides difficulty with them both being plagued with injury during their time here. 2 Years of University Education, barely a season of Ice Hockey, it's not good enough. Injury Prone players, as NB said at the Q&A, they have to be a big no no.
Lawrence can also be one to get his paycheque at the first opportunity, he's turned his performances up a slight notch in the last couple of weeks, but evidently so he can keep his spot here. Started well, flopped for the rest of the season. No thanks, not again.
I can just about deal with Spang returning, but his diving will continue to grind my gears till he leaves.
Wiikman, with a reliable defence will continue to be solid. He must be knackered, barely had any support all season.
Brown, glad he's back. One of the only guys on the team with fight in his heart.
Take all Brits and Sarkanis, it'd be good to see what he's like with a full training camp under his belt here.
I'd quite like to see us sign either Jack Prince from Manchester, or Sam Duggan from his Swedish Jr Team. Another British defenceman should be priority too, Lee is trash.

There is no way we should be giving Sarkanis an import slot, unless it's as one of a couple of spares.
The one thing we should have next season is the capability of icing 22 players. We are allowed 22,so why the heck do we not at least have the capability of icing 22,injures permitting.
The management keep using excuses about bad luck, injuries and tiredness, but it's no wonder when we don't even start with a full squad !

In addition to Brown Spang Mcgratton I'd be happy to have Whiikman, Lindhagen and Nikifouruk back. We desperately need some speed up front next season and some size at the back. I'd take Beka from clan for speed and a nice finish he did on Friday.

We need some Jason Beckett/Gui Lepine types on D, (even Kudroc) next season if we are keeping Spang/Sertich.

Neilson needs to learn how to build his defence properly, look at say Belfasts defence....that's what a D should be made up of. Walser/Martinelli Mason/Vandermeer It's not coincidence Panthers were rock solid when we had. Fox/Beckett Werner/Lepine

I think Spang with a Lepine-type stay-at-home D-man, would be a phenomenal. Spang with someone else wanting to play the same game as him doesn't work (moving the puck, getting forward, making plays I.e. Sertich or Lee).
Wiikman can go too, for me. Great keeper on his day but that day doesn't happen anywhere near enough to warrant a league championship. Too injury prone & although the defence isn't the best for him, he has tendencies to let in a few softies.
MacMillan, Schultz, Dimmen & Waugh are too injury prone and have easily replaced/upgraded talent.
Nikiforuk is another guy I'm not sure on. He has flashes of brilliance but also goes unnoticed a fair bit. Maybe with a sniper he could feed it would be a different story... he doesn't seem to have clicked with anyone in this squad.
Finally Carter & Lawrence. Atrocious attitudes, lazy & both infrequently brilliant.

Like has been mentioned 2 year deals for brown ern & spang. Was hoping we might change a few Brits also.
On the returning imports
Keep Williams he showed his class when fit.
Sack the rest off. This team has not been good enough. I don't get why so many people want players back.
Start a clean slate

I would like to see player coming in that can do a job PK and PP team specialist unlike now if you have skates on your feet and a stick in hand you can in any of the special teams and worse you are in these roles the more chances you seem to get!!!!

It will be interesting to see what Free Agents will be available, It could be a case that some of the Devils, Giants and Steelers top players might want pay rises and the teams can't afford all of them. Also being in the CHL might tempt someone over as well.
Unless he has more years left on his current deal, next season could be where we get Matt Nickerson or maybe we get Vandermeer. I wouldn't mind seeing Blair Reilly also.
From the Devils, I know it is a long shot, but Joey Martin wouldn't go amiss and I know that this wont be to most people's liking but I wouldn't throw my arms in the air if they signed Roy or Fretter from the Steelers (They seem to find the net)
Wouldn't mind seeing a agitator either, the Tanaka, Noble, Lloyd type of player who can get PP opportunities for us.

As few as possible, bring in Owen from fife as as good as Wiikman is he cant last a full season. Bring in dmen who can defend rather than score i.e. their primary job, nothing wrong with offensive dmen but we need at least half of them to actually defend, oh and bring in forwards who can actually score then maybe we wouldnt rely on the defence to do that..
All this means sign very few from this year imho.

Keep Nikiforuk gritty showed he is up for it, with better line mates could be even more of a goal scoring threat
Mcgratten yeah not delivering big hits which is disappointing. Has been so much better as a player than I was expecting working well with farmer.
Miika very good goal tender. Been left out to dry much of the season. Unless there is a huge upgrade on offer he needs to stay.
Lindhagen good defenceman useful up front and gives us flexibility with injuries. More than proved his worth.
Brown, captain next year please, guts drive and effort every game sticks up for his guys.
Pacl Good quality back up passionate young and eager to learn.
Spang..... He has a lot of minutes so if this is reduced he can probably be a good player for us if we get in the right line mate
To go Lawrence generally disappointing too interested in drinking not been impressed. Building the team around him was a huge mistake
Sertich simply not good enough
Dimmen and waugh sadly too injury prone to justify having a slot open for them.
Schultz If corey is to be believed not got his heart in it, almost unplayable when concentrating and fit, sadly doesn't happen toooften
Williams Huge wages has a history of injury problems can we afford to be having another player who could then be injured half the season
Carter....... Yeah for obvious reasons. Unsure
"dave" not had long to make a decision on him, cheap I'd hope but good enough to give an import slot?
Macmillan tough one can be good for us and provides that flexibility but frankly impot slot?

Imports. Keep Pacl(as extra import), Lindhagen Spang (paired with a stay at home D) Brown (Captain) McGrattan Sarkanis (as extra import)
Possible Nikiforuk (with right line mates) Williams (depends on fitness)
Out All the rest, including CN. Unfortunately cannot see it happening.
GB Out Lee.Get Swindlehurst back or splash some cash and try for Batch. Lacho.Try for Prince and/or Liam Stewart.
Is someone like Adam Jones of Telford worth a gamble?

For me I would blow it all up and start again. The only one I would have back is Farmer. Also Liam Stewart is an import btw

Other than those imports that have re-signed I'd only keep Lindhagen.
Of the Brits I'd only keep Farmer, Clarke & Betteridge.
And I wouldn't stop there.
The club needs wholesale changes and a proper winning ethos installed, which we seemingly won't get under the current management (GM down).

Wow I'm struggling to understand wanting so many imports back.. utter dross! Maybe Brown at a push.
This 'team' needs tearing up. I'm dreading the summer when players are announced...
