Just because we didn't forget to mention it for once:
Another who'll split opinion, but best of luck to him for whatever he goes on to do.

Regardless of feelings to him as a player, he lifted alot of trophies wearing that C. Hope he enjoys retirement

Good Luck to him.
How some of the fans treated him after he was sacked from Panthers was disgusting.

Good Luck to him. How some of the fans treated him after he was sacked from Panthers was disgusting. I never rated him when he was here but I certainly wish him all the best in retirement. Another Brit who only survived in the league as long as he did due to his passport. I know it's the rules we play by but I can't help but dislike it.

For me, a bit like Steve Lee has now done... came in as a bit of an unknown quantity and was outstanding (to the point where he probably should have looked at moving the US or Europe). Got too comfortable, realised mistakes and nights off won't be punished and turned pretty average - Steelers quickly realised that too.
Unfortunately, replacing him with Weaver will go down as one of Corey's greatest and most daring moves that paid off big time.
Not taking away however, he put in some great performances for Panthers and won us trophies. All the best to him!

I just can't forget that "fight" in Hull with Sylvain Cloutier. 😂

The one time we were actually a little ruthless and binned an underperforming one and replaced him with better quality we won the league. It's been a long, long time since you could say we've had the best, or even second best, group of Brits. The only top end Brit we now have is Farmer, the guy is exceptional and I hope will continue to improve but one player isn't enough. Clarke is a guaranteed write off for a third of the season which always holds him back. Lee and Lachowicz are depth players and realistically the rest are nothing more than prospects. Compare that to Sheffield and Cardiff and it's easy to spot the difference. If there were one area that I'd like to see us flex our financial muscle it'd be building a reputation of always having the best and brightest British talent in Nottingham.

I agree our Brit pack has somewhat dwindled recently. However, it wasn't so long ago that I'd argue we had arguably the best brit pack? We had Myers, Farmer, Lachowicz, Clarke, Betteridge, Lee, Swindlehurt, and Oakford all at the start of the 15/16 season. Now for me, although I highly rate Dowd and O'Connor, I'd be struggling to pick which brit pack I prefer between Sheffields and ours at that point. Obviously due to circumstances, Swindlehurst left, Oakford retired, Myers went back but our issue is we haven't replaced them. I'm hoping the 2 new lads have decent potential and will be a hit in a few years, but I still don't see any team (other than Sheffield and just maybe Cardiff) who's Brit pack I'd want to swap with?

That's the best thing Neilson did in 10 years replacing Meyers for Weaver !

That's the best thing Neilson did in 10 years replacing Meyers for Weaver ! It would have been Pidge if it had been Neilson that did it. But it wasn't,Meyers signed his own P45 when he did that "evening with Simmsey" thing in the pub. I've told you that before.

I'm so happy we won the league when he wasn't around! Such a chump! And those fake tears from him when he left were pathetic!
