www.eliteleague.co.uk/view/eliteicehockey/latest-news/news_501998Dundee Stars have announced the return of Lukas Lundvald for next season after the Dane signed on the dotted line. The 22-year-old signed for the Gardiner Conference side at the turn of the year from another set of Stars, Danish side Gentofte. And coach Omar Pacha was pleased to have him back on board for another campaign after impressing in his three months at the club so far. “Lukas is a great, hardworking kid,” he said. “He has explosive speed and he uses it well. His skill level is high and he loves to play on the edge. “I expect Lukas to keep improving every day to become a very important part of this team.” Lundvald totalled 29 points in 27 games in his relatively short time at Dundee and becomes the second signing for 2018/19, following on from Brian Hart, who signed earlier this week.

eliteleague.co.uk/view/eliteicehockey/latest-news/news_501913 Dundee Stars coach Omar Pacha says he is “ecstatic” to have forward Brian Hart returning to the team for next season. The 24-year-old settled in well to life at the Stars after arriving from ECHL side Kalamazoo Wings last September. After 52 appearances and 38 points, Hart has signed on the dotted line for another year and Pacha couldn’t have been more pleased. “Brian is a great player and an even better person,” Stars’ coach said. “He plays the game the right way and is always hard, intense and he developed more offensively throughout the season. “He was our MVP and a player that grew into a leadership role so we are really ecstatic to have Brian back for next season.” Hart’s signing extends Stars’ strong relationship with the University of Dundee as he will enrol in the MSC Management programme as well

Correct me if i'm wrong, 2018/19 With Clarke, Lacho, Farmer, Perlini, Lee, Gospel .... i think that would give us 6GB seniors, so one would need to sit out if we played 14imports.

Simply disgraceful and showing a distinct lack of morals/ethics/compassion/common sense.
I've not been to a game since robs ban and no intention to do so for the rest of this season.

I believe their conference tables are incorrect. I'm pretty sure Belfast had only played 15 conference games, after beating us, but seem to have recorded a conference win against either Coventry or Guildford! Yes I think you are right. Adding up games played in our conference comes to 59. It can’t be, it needs to be an even number. Ditto with their conference.

I've offered the club 2 Testimonial shirts for them to auction off for charity in return for revoking my ban. Good luck Rob, good gesture. I hope they reciprocate with some Christmas spirit.

Bloody stupid idea. Jeez did they ask Simon Kirkham to come up with that silly half baked format. Just get a black cloth bag and 8 numbered balls. Check there's 8 different numbers in there and draw it tie by tie in front of a bloody camera ! Absolute farce !!! It's quite a common format, I don't see anything wrong with making the group stage have a bit more of a point. The issue is obviously announcing this after the group stage has more or less finished. Guildford have a pretty good chance of picking up 4th seed. If that were the case you might imagine Steelers v Dundee MK v Fife Giants v. Panthers or devils? Guildford with giants rejection. Who would you pick if that were the case and you were giants? Giants would still be able to select Guildford. Assuming no one picks for ticket sales - no names spring to mind - then I'd imagine Giants and MK will split Fife and Guildford and we'll face the Devils. You are right, I thought seeds 1-4 match 5-8, but it’s 1-3 pick from 4-8 ... so being seeded anywhere in 4-8 matters not.

Looks like Panthers vs Cardiff then! Can't imagine any of the first 3 seeds will pick either Cardiff or us for a quarter final match! Guildford have a pretty good chance of picking up 4th seed. If that were the case you might imagine Steelers v Dundee MK v Fife Giants v. Panthers or devils? Guildford with giants rejection. Who would you pick if that were the case and you were giants?
