With the departure will Neilson, what would people like from our new coach?
I just really hope Panthers go hunting for someone. Please god dont be lazy and appoint Clarke.
Id like to see us go hunting in North America. Bring in some who has contacts over there and a few years under thier belt. Or id give Gerad adams a go.

I think it'll either be Adey or MKL's Russell.
Don't want a player coach, don't want a 1st/2nd year coach like Tripp in Braehead.

I don't want Russell. Not been impressed with MKL. Doesn't Adey have too much history with Gary?
Contacts are the key for me, we seem to be increasingly reliant on former player recommendations. I want a guy who's been recently involved in North American hockey, and knows first hand who he wants.
Clarke would be my bet though.

Got to be a north American coach with contacts for me, as much as I think Russell has done a great job at mkl I don't think hed have the contacts to bring enough players in I'd a title challenging calibre

I think Brock's been too critical of the organisation for them to even consider him. How can we expect a proven coach from NA to come if the two bodies that are interviewing have no hockey brain between them? Adey has past histories with Gary and I know everyone raves about Gerad Adams but even Steelers don't want him back according to some on Steeltalk. Anyway its going to be interesting to see who (if any) applies for the job. |

I’d taken Adey or Wilson or Richardson but I don’t see that happening
Would like us to push the envelope and go after a coach who has contacts and has been successful in either NA or Europe but I doubt that would happen

What about (ex Newcastle coach) Rob Wilson #boringwilsonhockey would make a change from #sexyneilsonhockey THink he's been a bit successful on t'continent but may fancy a trip back to the UK if the right opportunity came along? |

Most rookie coaches fall flat on thier face first couple of years. And Keefes won nothing yet. |

Would love to see Jim Paek as coach after he finishes at Olympics with Team Korea. He has plenty of contacts in N/A from assistant coaching Grand Rapids.

I see Chris McSorley is now working as 'Sports Manager' at Geneve-Servette. Not Head Coach, or GM or even Director of Hockey Operations.

All these suggestions are purely wishful thinking however I'd move heaven and earth to bring Mcsorley to this hockey club!! He's one of the few who I understand who gets on with GM
