Yes he's been back a while, partner expecting a baby next month I believe. Would / could have been a good signing although after he left last time he said he would never come back after the way they (the Brits) were treated. you never know what to believe. We keep on hearing about “the way they were treated” but Ive never heard anything specific to suggest what that way may have been. Not to mention that Gary Moran or Corey Neilson or whoever it may be regarding day to day running of the club are no longer around so I take these things with a pinch of salt. If it was that bad then why did Ollie and Tetlow and Hazeldine for that matter come back? They must surely have had other options? Potentially the new regime treats the players better than the previous one. It's been a while since Perlini was here so that's a lot of time for things to change.

Was it the usual dull as dishwater DJ playing the same playlist he has for the last 10+ years? 20+ years more like Proper cliche hockey songs that got boring years ago....but then I guess he is trying to appeal to everyone.

Felt the Giants game was so boring and negative, especially from Cardiff. I understand nobody wants to lose but someone has to stand up and try and make something happen surely!
The OT was like watching paint dry

As others have said I'm not shocked by this but am disappointed as would have liked him to stay and have another go next year.
He obviously has to do what is best for him and his family and I wish him all the best...he will never be forgotten at Panthers.
I just hope whoever takes over continues this style of fast paced hockey with high intensity,it helped me enjoy the sport again after nearly walking away last summer.

Gave it their all but sadly not to be.
Just agonising when you look at those OTs which could have gone the other way recently,an extra point here or there.
Still we didn't finish bottom which is something! I thought there would be no chance of that a few months back.
These players will go down in Panthers history for coming back after what happened...I have enjoyed this season more than I have for years...the atmosphere around the place has been incredible...crazy it's now all over.

Gutting...we had the chances to win that both in regulation and OT.
The game wasn't the best but both teams couldn't really afford to lose it and played as such.
Miracle needed now,it might still come down to the last game but very unlikely now.

Great win, dominant from start to finish...Blaze are pants
Shame Lemany didn't get the goal after his incredible skate through most of the Blaze team...but nice finish from Luciani to double the lead.
I'm regards the Michaud incident...looked like he was already losing his balance and sliding to the ice and unfortunately came into contact with the Blaze man's elbow.
Danny Stewart is always good for a laugh, screaming 'Are you f'in kidding me' at the ref which I think all of the bench side heard.

I need to find the stats from a few weeks back where Pare had more hits per game than any other player in the league.
I like him, yeah he isn't a superstar but has done a job we desperately needed. We can definitely improve on him but he's only 23 I think.. has a lot of potential

Caruso has probably been our best defenceman this season and Neill makes so much happen offensively....both are massive misses for this team. Having a young 21 year old Brit in goal who’s never won a game before and missing your best Dman is quite a miss too. But Dundee didn’t let that stop them tonight. And only having 14 skaters didn’t stop Fife on Tuesday night either. Come on,losing to both Fife and Dundee the 8th and 9th placed small budget teams in the space of four days is pretty shocking. Yeah I am aware the results are poor, it is no coincidence that our 2 best D men are out and we have lost both games. Neill must be the fittest d man we have as the others just cannot log his type of minutes and it shows.

Has being without Neill and Caruso been the difference? Caruso has probably been our best defenceman this season and Neill makes so much happen offensively....both are massive misses for this team.

Wow that was bad
Worst performance I've seen at home this season, looked a complete mess for most of it,disjointed, unable to pass and I lost count of the times our guys just fell over (Ryzek about 4 times).
We badly missed Neill and Caruso, just someone to bring the puck out the zone smoothly, the remaining D struggled with it all game. If they are long term and potentially season ending we are screwed.
8th looks to be out of reach now baring a miracle.

On this wider topic, interestingly when you look at the shares transferred in 2023, it seems the Storm's share (RJSG Entertainment Ltd) was transferred to a company called Frontera Ltd. Frontera's director is Emma Kristin Finnerty (Ryan Finnerty's wife). She is also listed as holding >75% ownership of the entity. I didn't realise that they (seemingly) had such total control of the Storm. It seems a shareholder of RJSG Entertainment, Jamie Tunstall is no longer involved. I always thought Planet Ice had an interest in the team there but must no longer be true (if it ever was). On new teams.... surely Leeds the obvious new joiners if there was to be a team. Jamie Tunstall put out a statement a few months ago stating he had left Storm,it seemed that the old company who owned Storm had a fair bit of debt, it was closed and a new one set up (Frontera). I seem to recall there may have been a thread on this forum about it somewhere.

What was interesting to note last night was the different demographic than usual in the crowd.
There seemed a lot more under 25s and students than I've ever seen at a Panthers game and it gave the arena a totally different vibe.
Every hit and save was being cheered like a goal and a lot near me were absolutely buzzing the whole match, where I sit is usually fairly quiet but it was the total opposite last night.

Henbrant was given mom.
The fire drill did sort of happen but was going off as everyone was walking out after the team left the ice. The stewards didn't stop anyone leaving...in fact it wasn't even mentioned it would be happening during the game I don't think.
Surprised nobody has mentioned it was practically a sell out...long time since that's happened on a weekday! Lots of newbies tonight, and loads of younger fans and students...funny what happens when it's 9 quid.
The game...tremendous...fantastic display and some great goals, hits and intensity. Fully deserved and could have been more!
I understand Logan took a puck to his hand in warm up and was pulled out the game...hopefully not too serious.

Frustrating result,I felt we were poor first period especially, could barely string 2 passes together and looked very disjointed.
Got better in the 2nd but didn't create much then in the 3rd Bowns gifted us a goal to get us back into it. Henbrant scored a cracker to tie it and looked like only one winner at that point.
Then a poor 3rd goal and that was it really.
We didn't look like the team of the previous few weeks at home, hopefully we won't play like that tomorrow.

Just a brilliant performance.
Some lovely goals,Roy's goal was an absolute rocket and after being dominated by Giants for the first few minutes completely changed the game.
Clinical finishing, energy and lovely passing earned us that win.
Loved the forecheck from Otto to set up Logan.
The refs calls certainly got the crowd into it who had been quiet until that point, great noise thereafter.
Great evening

Edinburgh potentially stepping back up? They are getting much bigger crowds than they did when they were last in the EIHL.
Also does anybody know what the latest situation with the new arena in Hull is?

I felt we came out firing, playing with some real intensity and probably should have gone in 3 up after the first.
2nd was more even as we got more tired and Fife had some really good chances.
3rd we looked very tried and the passing wasn't great so it wasn't a surprise Flyers got their goal.
We dragged ourselves to those 2 points but sometimes it's what's required.
Logan was sublime today,he looks to have got quicker, sharper and just a better player since he got his first goal the other week, well played.

Excellent all round performance tonight,we looked slick, composed (generally) and full of confidence which is great with so many players out again.
Some nicely worked goals,Henbrants being my favourite.
Thought Despres had a great game tonight,he would have been my MoM personally.
A lot of season ticket holders near me not in attendance tonight so makes the 4010 figure seem a bit off,I would guess 3500 max in tonight.
I agree in regards Ken,I really like the guy but recently he does have a habit of talking over the play a bit too often.
The atmosphere has been pretty good recently so he doesn't always need to jump in with 'Get loud' when a chant is starting...just seems a bit forced to me.
Anyway,great win, onwards!

Great to get the home win finally, always tense as we couldn't kill the game off but got the job done!
We were the better team and deserved the win, great to see the players with smiles on their faces at the end.
Hopefully we can follow this up on Wednesday!

The disallowed goal for Blaze hopefully is a sign that our bad luck is changing.
3 point weekend is brilliant, the mood in that changing room must be incredible tonight.
We have some winnable games coming up...it would be great if we follow this up next weekend,I don't see why not.

I felt 4-4 was a fair result based on chances and possession however both teams were poor defensively.
Slow burner which came to life once we got our second, the game and atmosphere was really flat until that point.
Once on penalties we never looked like scoring and Rok let in a really soft 5 hole (again) for the first.
We go again...not a lot else we can do

I think that was probably the best all round 60 minute performance for months.
Steelers were all over us for the first 10 minutes then I felt it was very even after that.
We had long spells where we could and should have scored a few more...we hustled the Steelers and didn't let them breath,we won the puck back a lot and for the first time in ages didn't look tired in the 3rd.
Play like that tomorrow and we might get something.
