We talk of Neil Black wanting European hockey again next year and needing Panthers to start winning games to enable that to happen. Has anyone considered that Black's money could be on the Clan for next years adventure?. From the little I have seen of them the appear to be better balanced and physically stronger that the Panthers. Apart from the Brits they also seem to compare more favourably man for man. NB may be keeping his money in his pocket with a view to using it for a late push for the league by the Clansman.
Just my opinion.

Well Im trying to stay positive but as EMB says we will be coming into the first game with little rest after a make or break Challenge Cup second leg. Will we have our vital injured players back? Who knows. And our last two visits to Glasgow do not fill me with optimism of success.

Quite enjoyed the game tonight and I thought Belfast were well worth their victory. Their passing was slick and they seemed to have good energy levels. We however looked somewhat leggy particularly going in the third. After a sticky start Kwall was superb and at times kept us in the game. Also like to praise Darnell's performance tonight. Thought he let the game flow and let the players decide the result.
A slightly premature congratulations to the Giants organisation, the players and coaching staff for their impending and deserved League Championship title. I hope their fans have a great time in Nottingham this weekend too.

What a Jekyll and Hyde team we are this season. Good strong hard hitting performance at home last night followed by a subdued display this evening. It doesn't look like we are able to buy a win away from home. Yesterday vibrant and entertaining. Today no sparkle or get up and go. In the second we were totally out of ideas and the Stingrays were well worth their slender lead. Fortunately we did step up a gear in the third but didn't really look like scoring and the Stingrays were just happy to dump the puck. After pulling kwall we managed to scramble the equaliser (and yes it did cross the line). Not one our better performances but I thought we did deserve the point. As an aside we seem to be struggling this season with competent penalty shot takers (Kalus excluded). Get well Eric we need you!.

7 wins on the bounce! That's one hell of a crisis.

The league will love this, considering they get a big chunk of Challenge cup gate receipts. But what happens if the ties are doubled up with a league game?. Joe Steeler says their home leg is included on their season ticket!

If laat night was anything to go by Darnell is one of the worst... He was even worse on Thursday in Cardiff!!

We have to agree to disagree bbw. Deliberately kicking another player must be one of the worst things you can do to an opposing player. We both agree that Darnell saw the incident. He had already called a debatable penalty shot and allowed the fourth goal when Conway was beneath a Devils player in the crease. He had called a match penalty against Kalus which another referee may have given a game penalty (or less). No referee would turn and look away from an incident you describe. In my view Murray stuck his leg out and tripped Lord.

Murray didn't kick Lord. As they skated out of the panthers zone there was some handbags between them and Darnell was watching them. As Lord passed Murray stuck his leg out and tripped Lord. Quite clearly a tripping penalty and quite clearly seen by Darnell who in his wisdom decided to take no further action.

Having watched the game live and now the highlights how did Darnell call a penalty shot on the incident with Lord?. I thought it was at best dubious last night and the highlights do not alter my humble opinion. Lord was through attempted to dipsy doodle and then fired his shot off and skated around the back of the net.

I thought Henley was a student at Derby University. Shouldn't he be back at school or is he playing truant ?

Thanks for that Bobness. I had it in my head that Moray had dished out several bans already for a similar offence earlier in the season.
