I think Corey referred to him as the worst person in the world! So after doing all the necessary checks including background and personal can we ask who actually signed Grimaldi?

At the start of the season the Continental Cup was the target of Neil Black. No mention of the League/Play Offs etc. A particularly poor showing this next week will not go down well with him.

Sounds like Clan will be without an import net minder for this one. That will improve them then, the import is not very good. Finnerty will be loading the gun soon ! There's a distinct possibility that NB may be doing the loading with Finnerty the target.

For me it has to be Devils or Steelers. Both squads but particularly the Devils are stacked with quality. Being just a fan I am I have absolutely no idea what the outlay has been for the owners of the club. Steelers are renowned for doing whatever it takes to be ultra competitive and now the Devils, with new owners are flexing their muscles. There is talk that they want to buy their arena which cost I believe in the region of £17 million and their final signing of Bordeleau would have cost a pretty penny. I feel that the two could leave the rest behind I their wake. Hopefully cheque book hockey will not rear its ugly head in the following seasons. Surely Devils/Steelers would never do such a thing 🤔 So Devils champions with Steelers second and maybe the Clan the best of the rest. All in my humble opinion.

The answer is sign a reasonable back up import netminder,it would only bloody cost them about £15k a year for gods sake ! If we did sign and dress an import netminder wouldn't that mean that we would have to sit an out skater ? I am presuming that there is a limit of 14 imports who can dress. So in the scenario you give of him being required once in a blue moon, we would waste an import out skater to do it. I of course could be wrong- usually am 😎

Isn't the guy who has had the rink built for his son a big sponsor of the Panthers?

Hi Mick Being a person of leisure I think that I can make myself available for most/all of the above dates. Give me a bit of notice and I'm sure we can sort something. Dave Hallam

As an aside many supporters still use the Metro car park and pay the same price (Two Pounds) as previously. They also issue you with a car which they stamp on every visit. After fifth visit you get a free parking pass which enables you to park on any day including a full day on a Saturday!.

Has their been any update on Kolnik yet? Hopefully his personal issues are all sorted and everything is fine and he'll be back soon too. He apparently was at training this morning.

I sincerely hope I am wrong but after having a commanding lead in the first leg I feel the horse may now have bolted. I cannot see anything other than a comfortable Clan win.

Will the low crowd really bother the panthers though. I can just see them shrugging it off Tell you what they won't shrug off, a quarter final loss and a big pay day of a semi final Sheffield home match. Guaranteed sell out and at least £84k in ticket sales. God that will hurt hard. Imagine how much it would cost to bring in that extra D, no where near £84k..... Talk about shooting themselves in the foot!!! And 2 point Tony will not be amused either!

People saying that the idea of sport is to win? That is correct but having a team with half the teams considerably weaker that the other just means the sport loses. The exodus in Edinburgh is a kick in the teeth for the sport. We are a minority sport with no sponsor and probably not more than a season or two from collapse at any one point. Either remove the weak teams or collaborate to support then get on their feet. The Caps have been the same team for years, this season they had a glimour of hope and it is gone. If it is because of their finances their long term viability needs a discussion, if it's because the players have been poached the big teams need to take a long hard luck at themselves. Bottom line for me, this is five team league and a flimsy one at that. No rulebook, no real organisation and no direction. That needs to change. Todd Kelman would be my choice to drive a new era. Maybe scrap the EIHL and start again. A five team league!. A little unfair on the Clan. They are probably one of only three teams that can win the league this year and with their run in must be favourites. That of course will please Mr Black with his love of Europe.

I haven't been on an away day with panthers travel this season. Previous seasons you can park in a secure car park at the bus company. There are usually 10/15 will get on there.

When I have travelled from the Mansfield area I driven directly to the skills bus depot in Bulwell. Good parking there and saves going further into town.

As a side note, why are the Yorks wearing blue this year? From the steelers highlights it was mentioned that they were wearing their Challenge Cup home kit!

I recall a few years ago that Corey, in frustration hit the puck into the crowd at Braehead, hitting a young lad. I recall there was a hue and cry from fans of the Clan followed by a charm offensive by GM and Corey. If Im not mistaken I think the young lad who was hit received some Panthers memorabilia. I dont think the issue went any further!
