Any investigation as to why an unprotected stanchion like that is there in the first place?
If the league are serious about protecting players health surely this is a concern?

Another complete farce of a ban.
If that hit happened in any other rink the penalty wouldn't be called because there isnt that piece of glass anywhere else.
In the old barn Corey beaulieu hit Randal weber like that and he hit the end piece of glass splitting his head open and giving him concussion. Was a penalty called, was it hell.
Another step towards the 2015/16 non contact dont breath to heavy near another player elite league

I assume Hanson sees the same footage?

I don't get what idiot put that one piece of glass there. Someone is bound to hit into it and like 5+ said hitting a corner of that could do serious damage.

Boarding:
A player who bodychecks, elbows, charges or trips an opponent in such a manner that it causes the opponent to be thrown violently into the boards,
“Rolling” an opponent, who is the puck carrier, along the boards when he is endeavouring to go through an opening, is not boarding.
Honestly think it was a bit of a poor call, had the plexi not been there nothing would have come from it.

Yet no one has mentioned the nasty hit by Kalus on Marsh !! You all moan on another thread about how lightly Harvey got off and yet Kalus pulls a nasty check and its all blamed on a piece of plexi (Yes, I know that's what caused the stitches) .

No way you can tell if it was intentional or not from the video. Another example of jumping to the worst conclusion.
Yet again I am paying full price to watch an under strength team.
Let the players play, give the fans the best product possible.
What if panthers ask for a re review? Can kalus play?
As I have said before, dissect every frame and 10 players would be banned

I wouldn't say that, don't think the league are capable of a conspiracy.
Just disserpointing that one of the best players in the league is missing for no real reason.
When I say I want the best players / product on the ice I am not restricting that to panthers players.
Banning a player should be exceptional not the norm.
Don't really want the devils player banned, I'd rather he was allowed to be delt with on the ice.

The fact is if the glass wasn't in such a stupid place in the first place we wouldn't be playing short again. Plus if the hit was so bad why didn't your team ask for a review of that hit ? In fact has any other team got a piece of glass where devils have ?

Match pen is auto reviewed Kezy, so they wouldn't have to ask.
In this case I'll take the 1 game, I doubt Hanson was ever going to remove the penalty altogether and at least he didn't add extras.
I don't really like the way calls are changed after the fact by Moray though. As DMan suggests earlier, if you watched every game again you could probably change every call.

My apology I thought he was referring to a different hit made by Kalus in the game not one that's been reviewed already.

Kalus is a lucky boy that single piece of plexi has been there since the start, it seperates the benchs it is set back away from the ice. You have to lean over the boards to get to it so that means kalus grabbed marsh and pushed him head first into that part on purpose, so if you ram a player into a board or such like and cause an injury you get a down grade on the pen and a game ban cross check no injury 3 game ban in the case of harding (devils player with no history) no wonder fans of all teams get fed up with so much inconsistancy. murray is also lucky darnell has no balls he deserved to be chucked out and banned for his kick on lord, I would want that action taken even if it was a devils player no place for things like that in the game

Murray didn't kick Lord. As they skated out of the panthers zone there was some handbags between them and Darnell was watching them. As Lord passed Murray stuck his leg out and tripped Lord. Quite clearly a tripping penalty and quite clearly seen by Darnell who in his wisdom decided to take no further action.

He did kick Lord, went after him and kicked out catching Lord on the back of his calf.Like you say quite clearly seen by Darnell who would have had to have thrown Murray out had he taken any action.

We have to agree to disagree bbw. Deliberately kicking another player must be one of the worst things you can do to an opposing player. We both agree that Darnell saw the incident. He had already called a debatable penalty shot and allowed the fourth goal when Conway was beneath a Devils player in the crease. He had called a match penalty against Kalus which another referee may have given a game penalty (or less). No referee would turn and look away from an incident you describe. In my view Murray stuck his leg out and tripped Lord.

ggggranville this is darnell we are talking about he saw the incident, it was a kick by murray and darnell bottled another big decision. darnell and his counterpart hicks have limited penalty calls that they use for ALL infringements irrespective of what the infringement actualy is, they are as follows hooking, slashing, tripping and interferance

Just in our game on Saturday, Darnell called charging, cross-checking, high sticking and roughing (one-sided, not for a 'fight')... and in his most recent game (Hull/Braehead, Jan 15th) Hicks also called elbowing, cross-checking, roughing and spearing!

It is rather unfortunate that this season The Cage seems awash with opposition fans posting rubbish and generally putting the boot in after our losses.
Where were all these low-rent agent provocateurs last season......?
