I think you are spot on here. That was the only way Nickerson was going to get what he had been looking for all night and poor old Shmit was the whipping boy (not for the first time this season) I'm not one for having a fighter who doesn't even know which end of the stick to hold but I think people under estimate how much time the more skilful players can have on the ice when there's a tough guy around to protect them and also as a momentum changer when games are not going to plan. The standard of hockey has improved enough over the years to not need those ridiculous staged fights in order put bums on seats but there are plenty of people that will go home disappointed each game if they haven't seen a good scrap. I've heard the champions league is to be extended again next year which will mean two British teams will be invited to enter. However, as we've seen this year it's not the league winners who enter but the team with the owner who is willing to pay the 10,000 euros entry fee plus all those travel costs and extra imports. I fear this maybe us again next year regardless of our final league position. You are also spot on with the changes needed. At the beginning of the season people looked at this roster and wondered who the DAB type goal scorer was, where was the Salters like power forward and who will be the Fox type leader that takes this team by the scruff of the neck and drags us through games when things aren't going well. Here we are in December and those same people are still asking the same questions. I think we'll see a change but with 5 or 6 to choose from, who will the axe fall on I wonder? Great points made, we are lacking in most areas but then we've also had the paper over the cracks performance when we spanked the Steelers! I do feel changes are needed and I'm putting my neck and say Graham, he's clearly a top earner and isn't producing, he took a while to warm up in the grand slam year then bang goals goals goals!! Just a matter of can we find a goal scoring free agent at this stage of the season who will come to the UK? I'd keep Benny Wild Mosey Lawrence and Higgins out of our imports and Modig the rest could be changed

To cheer the team off the ice after such a performance would be stupid in my opinion, I just sat and watched them off the ice, I don't think positive reinforcement is what they need, negative reinforcement works much better, because you don't want to be booed off each week! I never said cheer them off, if you are to quote me please read what I put! So how do you get behind the team if not to cheer? regardless what you out its pretty hard to get behind the team after that and last weeks performance

Yes our performance was awful tonight I won't sit here and argue otherwise but at a time like this, especially going into Christmas, we really need to get behind our team. The booing tonight was never going to spur anybody onto any thing. I absolutely hated the loss tonight, it was hideous to watch but they're still our team and if we get back behind them as much as possible we may be able to provoke them to turn their form around. To cheer the team off the ice after such a performance would be stupid in my opinion, I just sat and watched them off the ice, I don't think positive reinforcement is what they need, negative reinforcement works much better, because you don't want to be booed off each week!

So long as he promises not to sing... I wouldn't mind if he did as long as he played how he did last time, bring Robinson back and Bellamy can sing whilst Robinson paints

We need a Keefe type player in our team and then a heavy weigh aswell, Aaron Asham and Matt Kasian both free agents, both tough, both can fight, both can hit, both would give our star players (yes we have them somewhere) more ice and time to play. But hey I'm not a coach so what do I know

For me the worry is that Cody Wild might think poo this I'm busting a nut every night and these punks aren't im going back to america, he's by far our best player this season, think mosey is better suited as a forward so I'd be looking to upgrade on D we need a big tough dman to hit and intimidate and we can upgrade on forwards, top 5 players who are free agents in the ECHL is be looking at as this years league is of a lower standard then previous, Fulgham, Ulanski, Boyd would put up good number, Fulgham has 5 seasons of very good point production. I'm struggling to think who our import forwards are they stand out that much :/ we need something coming in, word about Robbo coming back, great if it happens but we need more!!

Benny is the work horse gets in the corners and battles to free up ye puck for the likes of Graham to score, problem is Graham isn't scoring and didn't look interest on Sunday. Clarke-Lacho-Farmer is like to see and have Lee at the back with Wild and what an advert from the British game that would be especially if it clicked and stacked points! I do feel the majority of the imports are dragging their heels abit but we've seen glimpses of brilliance from them all this year, Higgins has disgusting hands and pulls players apart, Lawrence can put them away he showed us against sheffield, Graham has proved it before benny is a beast especially when angry, Jacina needs to be more like benny, he does it in bits but not enough for my liking. One thing I do feel Lawrence and Graham could do more is throw the body, they're big boys and if they hit you hard in sure you'd know about it. And parent he's been out a while but I though he had a good physical game Sunday and let's hope he picks it up more and more as he gets back to full fitness

I like 4 import D and 2 Brits. And with the import limit going up next year it's more then viable to do it, I think Lee is one of the best british D in the league and Oakford has stepped up to the plate well and that will only help him into next season, there's also the prospect of bringing Norton back who's having a stand out season in Peterborough so we could run 7 D and rotate to keep players fresher for longer during games. This season I feel we could drop Schmidt he is slow and doesn't bring much to the table in my opinion yes I get some will like him and will tell me in an idiot and to get rid of others but hey this is my party. Think he could've sacrificed for a goal machine if we can find one at this time of they year have mosey drop back on D still have the 4 imports and extra fire power up top. Also I think that Cody Wild has been our stand out D man this year.

I'll have another helping of what was served up last time we played this lot at home without the tedious first period performance, I want us to hit them hard from the first face off! Beat them and beat them up! I think I dislike Coventry MORE then the Squeelers these days and I'm ok with that. also panthers to win 5-1

Great news, really good keeper, the D will adjust to his style in no time, odd though because at Sunday's game I heard talks that he didn't get on with the team and didn't want to play over here. Let's hope that was just some fertiliser talk. Another point is that we picked up Killer last minute when St Pierre announced retirement and look at what he's achieved in a panthers shirt, let's hope Modig is here for a while and we can replicate that success with him! I do think that if killers groin has become an issue its never going to get better, I do injury rehab at work and once stress areas such as the groin (taking into consideration the nature of his job and movement patterns) that's never going to get better it will continue to weaken, think his playing days are numbered which is a sad thought. Great servant to the club and if this is his last year I'd like to see him get recognition at the end of the season.

Let's hope then corey does respond to the league getting tougher! I'd like to think we have the same financial power as belfast and would be able to go and get either Mark Fraser, Matt Pelech or Matt Kassian just to make sure that our better players don't get their heads taken off!!

Been told he's going MK, shame he could have been an energy guy for us throw some hits fight and take a better opposing player to the box with him.

Paul Bissonnette back to Cardiff. until he gets a better offer. In other news I'm wishfully thinking that panthers will go out and get McMorrow, Penner, Gillies, Rechlicz and Gallant and say to the league ok let's play hockey

Watching the game tonight was like pulling teeth, slow long and painful!! Lawrence you contribute nothing by all means go home I'll pay for your ticket!! Landry had a mare but has played well in games. Oakford I feel is out of his depth and in all honesty not as good as Norton. He's tearing it up in Peterborough and I believe corey has asked him to train with panthers, need to hope tonight wasn't Robinson's last game as he seemed to get off the ice real quick! We need Clarke and Higgins back asap Mark Lee you've been injured since day one go home bud!! We need toughness and players who throw the body, no intimidation at all in the team. We just got rolled by Hull, horse poo poo performance!!

So much negativity about the CHL campaign, were up against tough teams but why have we lost all 6 without a single puck being dropped? We've got a fast young hungry team made up of North Americans who play hard physical games, this can wear down Lukko and Leula (or how ever it's spelt) I think we'll be surprised by the outcome Of the first weekend of the competition, I'm very much looking forward to seeing our team beat two good European teams!! #PanthersNation

Think jordan fox just enjoys the wind up and the chaos he causes amongst fans. If he comes back it would be a very decent signing, if He doesn't then I'm sure Corey can source a goal scorer from somewhere

A solid defense wins the title everyone knows that and this year our d looks very good very fast very mobile and I'd look for about 50 points plus from it! The defence last season scored at least 150 points in the regular season. I ment goals, my bad

If we're not worried about letting goals in then should we be too worried about not scoring many per game? A solid defense wins the title everyone knows that and this year our d looks very good very fast very mobile and I'd look for about 50 points plus from it! And we know that our forwards will score, I looked at the roster and I reckon there's at least 200 goals on it and the d if they allow a low average over the season it's hello league title welcome Back to Nottingham. And the challenge cup well that is already ours because it seems to have been that way for the past 5 years then all that's left to do it romp away with the play offs and we'll all be happy celebrating the grand slam. And that is why I purchased a season ticket so I have a valid reason to go to evey game when the mrs says she wants a night out hahaha joking of course . . . Maybe

With Salters gone I have a horrible feeling our first elite league game is going to be like when the hansons flattened everyone in slapshot I can see our first game being much better then that, I can see teams that have filled up with tough guys chasing shadows, you hit what you can't catch and if we don't rise to the tough guy crap they are putting out they will get frustrated and do something stupid and get binned, and if a fight is needed berube will step up as he's done it often enough.

Would have been good to have him back, shoddy management work to allow him to go to another eihl team, think when we go to braehead we may get hit a few times, let's just hope they can't catch us to hit us! Snatch and grab win
