The last two home games have been dire. So, so boring. Hoping for an improvement.
I think we, as fans, also need to step up a gear this weekend instead of waiting for something to happen to spark it into life.

A tough one to call...... I thought Blaze recruited very well this year with some proven Elite League talent. Im surprised at their position in all honesty. Poor coaching?

Well he was sacked last week, but it obviously didn't change much as they got stuffed by Cardiff on Saturday!! But then took Sheffield to overtime on Sunday so who knows.

Managing budgets, you'd reckon they would be better off having a player-coach.

After the last home blaze match I'm going to this, if it's half as exciting as the last it will be a great match. Also taking a group of five who have never seen a match including a young un so maybe we'll get some converts.

I think the fans have generally been better than the team so far this season and block 18 has definitely helped. Really? Other than 18 (which is no different to when the majority were in 4) the rest of the arena sits there doing their knitting expecting something to happen. When it does it's great (e.g. Stewart). But 95% of the time you can hear a pin drop. I've never heard an arena so quiet when a fight breaks out as it was on Sunday. But then I've ranted about this on more than one occasion (once so bad I should've had a kicking in Sheffield tbh) and nothing changes.

I generally get involved vocally but a lot of fans need the team to do something to get them into the game, a big hit, a nice move etc and all to often this season the hockey has been pretty dull. At least the fans turn up every night...

I can never understand why certain players don't turn to the crowd and try to get the fans pumped up ?
Not by the way they play, but by a simple gesture to the crowd to "come on lift it",the only guy I can ever remember doing that was Kevin Bergin a couple of times after he did his glass bounce thing.

I'll have another helping of what was served up last time we played this lot at home without the tedious first period performance, I want us to hit them hard from the first face off! Beat them and beat them up! I think I dislike Coventry MORE then the Squeelers these days and I'm ok with that.

Looking forward to this one. Blaze are always entertaining one way or another. Can't wait to see Modig as well, he deserves a proper ovation.

Went quiet here. Await those who were at the match to report back, but sounded like a good 3-1 win against a Blaze team who thrashed the Steelers the previous night. Hope that Jacina and Lawrence who picked up knocks during the match are fine. Oh and Panthers have gone top of the league...

Good performance. Looked a bit leggy in the 2nd but we held out. Modig was solid if a little rebound happy. Loved how Parent went for their dude who boarded Mosey, great to see.

Wasn't as entertaining as I thought it might be but a wins a win and it takes us top of league so that's what is important. Like the post above says great to see parent going for the guy who boarded Mosey.

7 goals scored this weekend, 1 conceded, 4 points, steelers lose both games and we are top of the league. Great weekend and good solid performances. Very happy.

Steady if unspectacular win. Modig again looks solid.
Tough games next weekend.

Hardly a classic but professional win in the end,was quite flat for large parts (even with the bad hit on Mosey, credit for Parent for sticking up for his teammate)
One two many breakaways given to Blaze on the back of sloppy play but they couldn't take advantage aside from the one goal.
Happy we're top though didn't expect that after the last few weeks we've had!

Thought the arena was a very quiet place , especially in the first period , Coventry fans very subdued.
We did great to keep the puck out of the net whilst down to three skaters.
It took till deep into the game for modig to catch the puck but his positioning looked solid. Good signing , unsure which is rather have .
