Awesome signing! Our last 3 signings can all handle themselves, now the skilled boys were looking at will hopefully see they've got protection and sign on the dotted line.

If he plays to his potential then what a signing, if he's here for a holiday still better then last years players with exception of a few, all I want is for him to catch Hewitt with his head down centre ice and KABOOM! Good night and God bless to the British "bulldog" Wonder who the imminent signing was that hasn't been announced Awkward moment dude, Jason Hewitt! Aha if that move ever happened the hockey gods would melt all ice and ice hockey would be removed from the planet

I want westgarth for his presence on the ice, policing of games and his contacts for coming seasons, we should be looking at him as a go between to maybe speak good about the club to some guys he knows, and if Peckham comes in then our D is shaping up pretty nicely the final import slid I'd assume will go to another offensive defence man in the shape of Wild/Werner type

If its to be 4 line hockey 3 pairs of d-men 4 X 3 forwards + 2 keepers = 20 players minimum plus says ? players to cover for injuries,, not sure Panthers can run 4 lines most of the season, I think it will be a struggle to get 60% of games with 4 line unless Panthers have at least 25/26 players. Can someone remind me what import quota is? ?? 11 imports and 2 EU so 13 total

I'm sure Gary said announcements would be made before the ink was dry, maybe it dried to quick and he could muster up a press release fast enough and westgarth will be announced when he takes to the ice

I can see it now, he returns post Christmas as cover for Miika and we go unbeaten to the grand slam and he gets 33 retired and announces retirement

He's moved a lot over the past few seasons, not really sure what to make of this signing, have to wait to see him in action although the elite report says that he gives up rebounds and that's not ideal

I'd assume he'll be filling the skates of Cody Wild, here's hoping our last 2 d men to come in will be of equal calibre

Well if I'm not mistaken he's still as big as he was in Belfast, still as tough as he was in Belfast, got 20 points in 39 games and I don't recall any of there players getting injured from cheap shots and he threw the body around a lot. Are you for real??? Belfast fans HATED him because he DIDN'T play the body at all!! He never crashed the net, just coasted for most of the games. There's a reason he was benched for the PO Semi and got ironic cheers every shift in the 3/4 PlayOffs. Just because he could play like you state doesn't mean that he will, and he showed nothing last season to back you up. Sorry, but I'd be extremely disappointed if we signed him. Well I wouldn't be, the games I saw him play he was ever present, if he comes to Nottingham and polices the ice and keeps our players safe then he's doing his job. And he will chip in with points

He's big he's tough and will protect and chip in with good points players who were targeting will hopefully see this (if it comes to be) and know what he's about and can come and play hockey Yeah coz he did all that in Belfast? Well if I'm not mistaken he's still as big as he was in Belfast, still as tough as he was in Belfast, got 20 points in 39 games and I don't recall any of there players getting injured from cheap shots and he threw the body around a lot.

If these rumours become actual signings I'd happily take Cook, Francis and Westgarth! Everyone saying no to him but he why not?! He is tough as anyone and if he drives the net he'll pick up rebound be difficult to move and cause a lot of issues for other teams He was also a brilliant Benchwarmer on a 5th placed side. Never saw him do anything besides wipeout KWall. I'm sorry but I'll be a little disappointed if we sign him. He'd do a job if used properly, he's ex NHL that doesn't happen by chance

All tough guys lose fights, it's more about the willingness to fight and protect that they bring to a team and as he's young he'll be wanting to prove himself so will be very game!! Saying that I would prefer someone who's abit bigger and can tower over players like Henley did

If panthers sign a tough guy then we've muted this signing for Belfast because as a players he's pretty average
