Lets see if this is the only thread this season that doesnt have someone complain. Because how could they. Probably our best overall player over the last 3 years and a brit who cant be replaced. Brilliant news. Just cause you've said that hold my beer! How can panthers tie a Brit down like this without giving him the chance to try abroad again! 😡 And on a serious note great signing needed to be one of the first ones signed imo

To be fair I don't remember the club ever announcing him as on 2 year officially I think it was McGrattan who said it was 2 years in a radio interview before he came over. Yeah that's how I remember it as well, don't think club themselves have ever said it though

Notice how McGrattan has disappeared from the names signed up for next year...? To be fair I don't remember the club ever announcing him as on 2 year officially

interesting section found on eliteprospects under "jobs" which was added yesterday + 15 days ago. says they are 2 year contracts with schooling so could be us and a whole host of other teams, but interesting for the salary aspect and what is included more than anything jobs.eliteprospects.com/Interesting yep. Some of the start dates fit with Panthers. Not sure any players are coming for only $9600 u/s dollars though. Lol And some of the end dates ? Must be getting cut in January. 😉 Some of end dates in January but say contract are 2 seasons sounds exactly like an EIHL contract

When did we carp on about two extra teams coming in? And only now have we decided to talk all about it in April? Reasons why the sport will never gain ground. It can't plan anything until a board metting comes along weeks after it seems. Surely the knowledge of two interested parties would assume that everyone needs to get their heads together and thrash all this out then, find interest, objections and compremise earlier than now. I would have thought an emergency board meeting, through Skype or similar could of been organised long before a full board meeting just to sort this issue out Makes League look amateurish

under eihl rules brooks and stewart are not good enough to take up import slots as brits yes imports no. lacho looks a different player to what he has all season, he is playing a different role to what he was for us and is looking better for it. weaver is looking very old now only problem you have most of the brits already have contracts with respective clubs So you're telling me there are people who aren't dreaming of a team full of Brendan Brooks

Just listened to the McGrattan interview and everything mentioned is in the past tense so makes you wonder if he is actually coming back. Soo many of our players turn down a second year when they've had a season of GM on their case. Those that stick it out just roll their eyes when you mention him. Don't sound too good for Miika either at the moment. I personally thought he sounded like he was coming back To me it seemed like he was looking forward to a summer where he didn't have unknowns about where he would be playing etc

Lepine has left Binghampton Wonder where he'll end up next ? He might not leave the franchise Binghamton is relocating next season, so this could be just a goodbye to the city of Binghamton rather than leaving the club

If 12000 seater like article says could it be the new playoff final home eventually when built?
Even if Bristol aren't in the league

Simms tweeting saying their is a big signing announced at 7am tomorrow for 'not one of the big teams'... Could take it literally and be Caps or Fife etc, or could be his humour meaning Panthers. Wait and see... That will be Patrick Bordeleau then. Said it wasn't on his periscope said it was someone bigger than him

It's not that they will just put up with anything they say It's a fixture for a sporting game, they can plan around it, more to life and all that
I really don't think the Panthers are taking the **** here and honestly the majority of the fanbase won't give a rats backside which day the home or away game is
I'm not so sure that panthers fans will just say nothing regardless of what panthers management say but this is a case of making something out of nothing

He's classed as a Brit according to simmsy. Son of Dave whistle If Jackson Whistle is classed as a brit then surely Liam Stewart is too. Liam Stewart was actually born here. From what I understand, They have to play junior(16-21) hockey in the UK to be classed as brits. Jackson was playing in North America since we was 14/15 at least probably younger. This is how I understood it as well Belfast press release also states he is classed as a Brit though

As reliable as he has been I think we can upgrade on Schmidt, someone younger and more agile with his build would be perfect, if he is staying in the country as I have heard people say then he would be perfect as injury cover Schmidt is solid.......But he has to be fully fit or he will struggle. When he came in the first year he didn't look in shape and he struggled first half of the season, but got better and better. Maybe coming from several years in the DEL he came in complacent and half fit, hence he struggled at first. Last year though he had learned his lesson, was obviously fitter and played very well. Schmidt has had to transition during his career and become a more defensively responsible player after he had a serious knee injury that hampered his speed and skating ability I think his first year he was still struggling with understand that he isn't the player he was Once he came to terms with that yeah he's got better and better

Their fans have also returned every year since for the playoffs, so last season was the first time they saw Panthers in the playoffs

The screen/colour is out of Panthers' hands. The jumbotron/videoboard is old and not of great quality so we appeared a bit orange due to that. As for music, Time To Go would be a great choice.. Very high tempo, should get Cam and Co. Absolutely buzzing. Can we start a fundraiser for a new one lol!

I'm a Belfast fan, but was curious myself at how much would it cost for a week,I see some GB fans talking about it costing a grand (which a week in Belfast seems ridiculous, im looking at a holiday in the USA for a grand.). Anyway I looked up, Flights to Belfast int or city seem to be a frequent route, lots of options there, and it seems if you book early enough can get flights from 30 pounds. Now hotels would be the pricier part of this, as you will need a hotel for a week. But again if you book early enough there are plenty of good deals, I seen hotels that would cost 280 for the week (city center etap hotel). So all in, just on flights and hotels your looking around 310 if you book early. I'm used to travelling on a budget, following the Giants away from home in the UK. A lot of times I don't mind staying in a hostel, and Belfast has some good hostels. Some charge 15 pounds a night, which is dirt cheap, get a few friends and you can book a room together. so if you do that can get flights and accommodation for 110 or so. Food and drink are the most expensive part if your looking at spending a week. But lets factor in 300 pounds for that: with flights (30), hotel (280) and spending money - id say all in abut 600 - 650 let says. with flights (30), hostel (80) and spending money - id say all in about 450-500. Not bad for a week away, its certainly do-able on a budget. if there is a group of people, could also look at car/bus + ferry across. not sure that would save any money, as the fights are dirt cheap if you get in early. Thank you for that. Maybe I'd come for a part week. Then again, I'm a big programme collector and IF they are doing one (Belfast don't even do match programmes) I'd need to be there early in the week before they sold out. Yet later might be the crunch games. Oh dilemma. Looks like I'm looking for a good local to pick me up a programme if I can't make it or go later in the week.lol Most annoying would be top get the early bought flight and then the date get changed, that's happened before now. What are the chances of dates changing, I know the dates are scheduled to be then but also say they are still to be ratified by IIHF What's the record for dates changing when they are still to be ratified I would of thought it would be unlikely to change
