What is puzzling about the game is both coaches saying that other team played team played better than they did? I've seen fans say confusing statements on Twitter regarding it as well Some steelers fans saying they deserve to lose and it was terrible and others saying they were unlucky etc....

I heard that Stewart spent lots of time with Brits developing them in particular Lachowicz (could be rubbish to be honest but what I heard)

Believe it or not it is a business... I'd rather have the team in the hands of a business man over a fan any day of the week. Anyway, back on topic... I've never watched the show, may do at some point (and I'd no doubt enjoy it being that I am very pro-Panthers in most things) but there's just nothing making me want to actually click on the show to watch it. It doesn't make much difference unless all the other teams are in the hands of businessmen too or you still end up playing in a two team league at some point. A fan wants wins and success, a businessman wants profit, which the highest chances/easiest way of that will be through winning and success so in that sense surely it's the same A fan may however be more reckless towards getting this success a businessman will probably take a more stable approach

The last Sheffield away game I think the away blocks were full obviously this is a Sunday away match though and another meeting in a matter of weeks so ticket sales will be affected, there will still be a good attendance from the panthers faithful though I feel, I will certainly be there If I wasn't working I'd be there! But don't finish work in enough time to get up the road for game Was planning to watch webcast but won't be able to now so that's £8 out their pocket gone

72 hours after a potentially season damaging injury and the Steelers have what looks a top quality replacement in. 1 week after a potentially season damaging injury and not a word of a replacement. I get the point you're making here however it's being hugely exaggerated, a potentially season damaging injury to a goalie like Plante is far more damaging to a team in the EIHL then a season damaging injury to a Forward or Dman

Corey has proving before he will get rid of Brits if he doesn't think they will help the cause so I don't think we will hold onto him because he HAS been good However in regards to Lacho I think you'd be crazy to cut him blimey! Don't get me wrong, I don't want us to cut him because we know he has the talent and is still young and I'd rather we try and find that instead of letting another EIHL find it. But I just wish he could find himself some confidence. Maybe he's playing a different role at the moment. He needs a partner I think. He seems to miss Franny and Salters Franny's was brilliant with him as he was on the same page as him and both could match each other's pace I wonder what a line with him and Mosey (I know he's playing D atm) would be like if they could get the chemistry together....

AHL ref wears go pro for a Charlotte Checkers game - Referee Dave Lewis and linesman Terry Wicklum wore microphones and Lewis strapped on a GoPro for a game between the Charlotte Checkers and the Oklahoma City Barons at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, NC.
interesting to see the view from on the ice
also from our league
GoPro footage of Ice Hockey Linesman Matt Rose #11 of the EIHL. Filmed in the Cardiff Devils vs Manchester Storm game on 5/9/15.

Pretty harsh comments I see about Lacho here. I agree with him looking lazy, although that's always been his style of play since way back, more effortless In my opinion. People who are say it's ridiculous how much certain players earn and in this case Lacho, could you please enlighten me on how much you know he is getting paid? Because I would love to know. I think it's pretty harsh to jump on someone so early on in the season who is actually the top Brit forward point scorer in the team at the moment. And has helped and delivered numerous trophies during his time at panthers, which you all seem to be forgetting. www.eliteprospects.com/league.php?leagueid=EIHL&season=15How did he get injured the other week? Oh wait blocking a shot, yeah that means he's not putting effort in for the team. Has has less goals than Bryan Schmidt this season... And we're a quarter of the way through. I don't want us to hang on to Brits because they HAVE been good. That's what Sheffield do and that's why they'll struggle in a couple of years when Phillips, Hewitt etc retire. Corey has proving before he will get rid of Brits if he doesn't think they will help the cause so I don't think we will hold onto him because he HAS been good However in regards to Lacho I think you'd be crazy to cut him blimey!

A player can't leave an EIHL team and join another EIHL team in the same season without their previous team permission

I think this game will come down to which goalie plays better. The big question in my mind is what Corey does with the lines. in my opinion Moran Kolnik Clarke Ling Macmillan Bohmbach Myers Janson Betteridge with Lacko slotting in as a spare Your joking right? Seem to be under impression Corey will keep set lines for longer than 2 shifts....

Not even close to a sell out with a few days to go. The club will be quite disappointed with ticket sales for this one. A real shame as I love a sold out Arena. Love a sold out arena when I'm sat in my seat and game on but nightmare when trying to go concourse/get a drink etc Still expect it to basically be a sell out lots of tickets will sell as we near the night Halloween could have affect on attendance maybe though

Do we really need another import D man, (on top of Waugh)? As currently we have conceded the least amount of goals then any other EIHL team at 17 goals in 9 games (Cardiff next at 26 goals against in 11, Sheffield 28 in 8, then somewhat surprisingly Coventry 30 in 8) league games only
Personally I'm of the opinion as been discussed before that we should at very least have a temp replacement for Waugh (I know we had Weidergut) But also we should have replaced Peckham who was initially part of the plan
Riding Wikiman's impressive form too much or will this D continue to perform without reinforcements?

No offence, but I don't buy that (or Higgy's plexi thing). Why doesn't it happen the other way around - the side blocks often adjust to suit the new time coming back at them from the goal end - and when we all clap along to whatever nonsense we do it in time? The arena isn't that big, it's a far bigger, more jarring offset than it should be. It's like singing rounds sometimes. I think there's some big gob with no sense of rhythm sat up there personally. Disagree regarding clapping, the clapping may start in time but quickly takes over and speeds up

As a side note, why are the Yorks wearing blue this year? From the steelers highlights it was mentioned that they were wearing their Challenge Cup home kit! The webcast said it was a throw back to their first year? I wouldn't know as haven't been around that long

No news/updates on Ling. Will he be here in time for this game? I wouldn't be surprised if he makes it for steelers game if he wasn't announced until he comes out for warmup etc.... Purely because it isn't going to affect tickets sales for this one, tickets will still sell well

Just curious, where do you get your +/- stats from? Hate how league don't seem to record it Keep them myself, note them down during the games and/or watch back on the highlights for the away games I don't attend! Fair play! Must take fair bit of work that, I'd be interested to see previous years +/- stats

10 Games - 1 Goal, 1 Assist, 2 Points, 10PiM's & +2 (+/-) not too shabby He's been on the ice for only 1 Goal Against so far this season, that was in Manchester (04/10) for their 2nd Goal Just curious, where do you get your +/- stats from? Hate how league don't seem to record it
