How does this sound :- Belfast Cardiff MK Guildford Nottingham Sheffield Coventry Hull Manchester Braehead Fife Dundee No one sided conferences. Someone has got to go to the Scottish conference. May as well be Manchester as its similar difference to scotland as it is to Guildford so no major travel increase. All conferences have two top half and two bottom half (generally considered) teams Seems the best option I've seen so far. Only sticking point i've just noticed is the extra flights for Guildford and MK

Will Panthers ever get away from playing Steelers 10 or12 time a season. it needs to change it getting boring listening to to same old "greatest rivalry in Europe" The short answer is no.

Either that or Manchester simply take Edinburgh's place and Hull take Manchester's

But I started the topic.... and you said "this whole thread" So you did mean me, have the balls to stand by your words.... Or retract them. I don't care what colour of skin a player has, black, gold, white. All I'm interested in is having a discussion about where the GB team goes from here.... If having a discussion is racist then so be it I must be a racist nazi. There are 3 parties here, young Brits that have learnt their trade here and helped get us to the top flight, dual nationals who have spent years playing in this country and are British by residency and dual nationals who have never been to this country and sing 'oh Canada ' for umpteen years but who now well could be persuaded to be British. Are they ALL equal ? Asking that question isn't racist, answering it with your own opinion isn't racist. Who do I want representing MY country ? Personally I would rather have someone who's lived here with us to represent this country than someone who hasn't... But equally just remember that Kevin Conway didn't think this country was good enough to spend the rest of his life in once he'd finished representing it. O'Connor, Kelland and others who live here are as British as I am. So it's a very interesting topic. But it ain't racist ! Why do you have to live here to care about being British. What a stupid statement. So what if certain players go back to Canada or wherever when they retire. Did they represent GB well is all that matters. Do you expects Perlini, Mosey, Erhardt, Brooks, Hammond etc to live here the rest of there lives to be worthy of representing GB?

Like I’m going to tell you that. <edited for use of middle finger emoji - not tolerated here> Thats why the majority of people on here myself included think you just talk guff all the time. Never anything positive. You talk like you know better than everyone and reckon you're ITK. Yet you never back anything up when you get called out

With the way Bowns has been playing he is allowed one error - Swindlehurst was silly but things like that happen and may make their players think twice - Ehrhardt is young and will learn - coaches will know what to do Agreed apart from the mistake he’s been fantastic. Can’t say the same for the starter for Italy. He was shocking. Dan Green could have saved the 3rd

Christ, only the Ehrhardt wrecking ball between us and a 2-0 lead right now. Bowns has got to take the flak for the first goal. Don’t know what he was thinking rushing out his net

Garnett will want to stay as the sole reason he came here was for the uni course. Whether panthers want to keep him who knows

So why didn’t Sheffield win it? Their opposition was a bit stronger and Steelers were a poor ish team who didn’t turn up in their first game. If they had they would have won it comfortably. Not really. Both teams played Ritten and both played a team from the Kazakhstan league so not much difference and if we can beat teams like Bern and TPS in the CHL i'd expect Steelers to be able to beat them. We were a poor ish team too when we won it

Yes. Any one of 5 eihl teams could have won the super final that year ... So why didn’t Sheffield win it last year then. Did the standard all of sudden go up several leagues worth. How about all the othe years when no other British team has won it

What a load of crap. Even if he was told that do you really think that players or the coaches aren't bothered about winning. True enough that team wasn't very good but its got nothing to do with not giving a toss You best ask some of the players on that years team what they thought of Corey’s attitude after we won the Conti then ! 😉 Why don't you enlighten us all

It was to some extent for the season just gone, not for the season before though. 2016/17's main objective was achieved & then enhanced on. For the 2016/17 season Neilson was told by Mr Black win a trophy, any trophy and you’re back. Once they’d won the Conti Cup that was it,foot off the gas, job done and didn’t give a toss for the rest of that season. Never again should NB tell a coach that ! What a load of crap. Even if he was told that do you really think that players or the coaches aren't bothered about winning. True enough that team wasn't very good but its got nothing to do with not giving a toss

Fantastic 1st period just one bad mistake cost us. Two seconds left of 4v4 and the dman didn’t see who played a long pass through the neutral zone which was intercepted and put us under pressure and the goal was conceded. Had to hold the puck when we just going on the pk.

A bit of a let down for me in the end. Clearly very talented but also very inconsistent. Was hoping for him to our answer to Andrew Hotham or Ben O'Connor but never really pulled it off

A great win from r team gb. They all worked there balls off But a special mention to bowns. The guys awesome. How anyone says he isn’t the best in the eihl is beyond me He is good and i'm a fan of him but id don't think its that clear that he's the best in the league. One of them no doubt but i think he's just short of Galbraith imo who i thought was the best last season. Just a shame about the rest of the Panthers team

Are Italy that strong? I don’t know much about Euro hockey but most of the Italian team is made of players from the AlpsHL which I didn’t think was that high a level whereas Kazakhstan have several KHL players

Steve Lee is like lacho. An easy target. I don't think he's been that bad this year personally. Certainly a big improvement over the previous two seasons when he was played as man offensive dman. Who else could we really get who would be an upgrade?

We've won the jackpot really when it comes to experience and accomplishments compared to other EIHL teams. On paper he blows away any other coach in this league. Lets just hope this is reflected on the ice
