With O’Connor on his way to Cardiff, Conway signing in Belfast and Perlini rumoured to be headed to Guildford, our Brit pack is looking a bit weaker than the other three big clubs…
Are we entering a period of building up our pack for success in the next few years; or do people think we still have the depth needed to challenge for a league title?
Thoughts?

I notice that the fixtures are released a few days after the season ticket deadline expires.
You got to wonder how many Sat/Sun night games will eventually be played… If things are opening up you’re gonna get a lot of artists filling the arena to make money after being shut out for 18 months.
I suspect over the season there will be a number of games moved to mid week. Do the Panthers have an agreement with the Arena to play a minimum number of games on a Sat/Sun?

Hang on, weren't they supposed to be charging £20 a game? What happened there? £8.25 a game is less than half that! What kind of businessmen are these people? I demand to be charged £20 a game! That price is only if you cough up £99... if it was £8.25 a game I’d probably pay for a couple...

Apparently if you bought your tickets directly from your club they are responsible for processing the refunds. But if you bought from the NIC directly then you’ll have to seek the refunds from them, assume when they reopen?

Folk I know that had boxes booked for the POFW already asked (and got) their money back. This implies that the arena are holding on to the funds/information more than the league. Perhaps 'we' should shift the blame away from the league for a change.... I won't hold my breath. When I called the box office a couple of weeks ago, they advised that they were waiting on instructions from the league.

Listening to Sturgeon speak as I type this, she’s just come out of the Cobra meeting, she has just said that the Scottish Government will be ADVISING that events over 500 be cancelled where there is a big strain on front line forces i.e. ambulance service, police force. Could Scottish Ice Hockey still continue then? This will take effect from Monday so some of the Scottish clubs have 1-2 games left after that, so it’s not to bad. Fife and Dundee could probably open to season ticket holders which probably are in the 500 range. Think it’s a bit silly to pull this trigger so far when only 65 people in Scotland are infected.

Can’t see it being cancelled. Some EIHL teams would probably struggle to survive without that £500k pay day share out from POFW. Surely the league will have these events insured....

With more cases reported today, and surely a load more during the week... I wonder if the government will follow France and ban any large gatherings... France currently capped at 5000...
Next few weeks will be really interesting for sure.

Stupid and needless penalty by Rheault ☹️ That penalty was dumb and has totally changed the momentum the team had....

Really hope that this isn't 1 of those games where after a good win, we come out flat and lose. Just checked the score and I see it’s 1-3, looks like your worries were confirmed.

Highly unlikely, they’d pull the netminder score, then beat us yet again in OT.. Panthers need a 2~3 goal lead with a few to go tbh.

Almost 4000 in the arena? Is that about right, or another inflated figure?

Is the new guy arriving on a temp visa as if he is coming directly from the continent he won’t have a full season visa and will have to pop off in 3 months to get a visa sorted.

This guy wont help the team move much up the table .. This guy doesn't fit on the top 6 of Sheffield, cardiff or Belfast .. It's the Jacobs money, doesn't stretch to top line wages.... Then who the hell is getting top line wage? Nobody apart from Herr deserves them? Where has that money gone? Have we shed a massive part of our budget on Lepine and Rehault? If so they should have been negotiated down to the bare minimum after their showing last season? Seriously I’d like to know what players are hoovering up this huge budget we apparently have as O’Connor and Dowd will be on huge wages for starters in Sheffield and I don’t think J Phillips will be cheap either.... that’s before you look at some of the players on their roster.

Well the good news isn’t that they’ll up for retaining two thirds of a team that is down the bottom of the league... you couldn’t make it up...

I wonder if there will be a Q+A with Mr Black anytime soon....I could be tempted out of retirement. 😆😆 Best not challenge him, you might get a season ban, or worse be made to watch this shower every week....

Exactly the same for us, as well as five season tickets to the left of us, four to the right and three behind us.
The issue is the team will win tonight, a new player or two will be announced next week and all will be good again in the eyes of many..... and NB will go back to counting his £££

VOTE WITH YOUR FEET.... it might mean a few less bottles of bubbles in Bermuda, but that might make them wake up and either sell up, or put in a budget that’s worthy of this club...

How long before that dirty word comes out again? Protest. I no it failed before and would struggle to get going again. The main reason being people struggling to agree on whats best. I wouldn't be suprised to see larger numbers back it this time though. Somrthings got to give. This is just plain ripping the fans off now. The best protest is not attending home games. Don't put your hard earned in their pockets. This is how it’s done.... the more people stay away the better, only poor crowds will send the message to London and Bermuda,....

One would hope that we get an upgrade in the form of a couple of quality forwards. There again, we might not be at stage where Neil Black sees support ebbing away and feels the need to spice the roster up, with the hope of play off and cup success and hence get bums back on seats. Perhaps he should invest in Costcutter? I think if that’s his plan he’s a stupid man, many have turned their backs and it will take an awful lot to get many of those bums back on those seats, this is a season too far for many...

Revolution, people. Vote with your feet. Hit there where it truly hurts. I have, Blacks not getting a penny more out of me.... not stepped foot in the place since the play off weekend... wonder where Farmer and Lee’s money has gone?

Didn’t see the game but my friends in Fife told me Lepine looks slow and unfit, they were complimenting Betteridge though..
