Well lets hope this means we don't see Rheault ice again! what a waste of slot/Uni Place he has been for 2 years Couldn't have put it better myself. He offers nothing! No speed No agression No size Cant shoot Cant make plays Cant defend

I agree with what you’re saying, but one player who seems to avoid criticism is Rheault, he’s no better than last season and he’s been the worst performing forward imo. He gets regular power-play time, he’s always parked in front of the net when he’s out, yet he’s produced very little. But we seemingly have to accept it because he’s going to Uni... Anyway, an interesting game today up in Glasgow where they take in the Squeelers. Hopefully the Clan can take a regulation win. Rheault Is crap. Fact. One of the worst imports in the EIHL

No it doesnt. We are playing 6 import D and Tetlow. Quist hasn't been very good but adding additional skill to the forward lines and new lines may get him going. Id still look to gas him for another forward, but whilst he is here i'd still be looking to make it work with him. I’m with you on this. In fairness to Quist he’s been bumped down to the 4th line, but has remained on the power-play, his size in front is a good asset even just as a screen. Personally, for now, I’d go with: Herr - Talbot - Bulmer Golovkovs - Malmquist - Hansen Quist - Perlini - Betteridge Hazeldine/Kelsall - Lacho - Rheault Connelly - DeSantis Deutsch - Fick Tetlow - Matheson I feel harsh leaving Lepine out, because he’s played well of late, but for me we’re too left hand heavy at the back. It’s good to have options though and I’m sure we’ll still rotate the team. Dropping Lepine against Manchester would be ridiculous!

Yep, looks like he's thrown GD under the figurative bus there, then. The two clearly get on lovely. Seems to pee on the idea that Black has anything to do with recruitment, though? When he says lower expenditure, is that purely players or in total? I presume in total, as Belfast surely can't have a cheaper squad than Panthers? Not sure I wholly agree with it all, though. Players, imports especially, have been recruited with good stats from good leagues, both in europe and NA, and the ex EIHL players have also looked good to great signings. They just have barely clicked at all, bar Herr. Surely that's coaching, not recruitment? Terrible recruitment would be third line college players, past it has-beens, and (say) SPHL/DEL3 players? Compare the CV’s of our players to the CV’s of steelers Belfast and Cardiff... there is no comparison!

What's your definition of ripping it up. I'd sign a team of swedes, at least you would see work ethic unlike last year ! Personally I’d rather have guptill back, 40 goal scorer with hardly any effort is something special in our league. God No! incredible talent but when he found the pubs became very ineffective!

Happy with both these! just think we need to add a tessier type stud of a centre now to lead the front line Only thing that slightly worries me is we are only going to have 12 forwards, id like to see a 13th forward even its a young brit from the juniors If Kelsall & Hazeldine count as forwards then one more signing make 13. Im sure Hazeldine is a D man, basically after the last forward is signed we will have 6 D 12 Forwards plus Hazeldine, i think we will need abit more depth than that

Because traditionally Saturday night has been hockey night in Nottingham. Think you’ll find that the original traditional hockey night in Nottingham was a Friday. Anything is better than a sunday

Let's cut the crap.. hands down Dowd is the best brit forward by miles .. if he's available which I believe Smith won't meet his new demands any team would be crazy not to be interested ! It's that simple and Panthers have never replaced Clarkes goals and while Perlini is a decent player he will never be a 30 goal scorer Been a steeler for too long for my liking.. never any good when players come from up the road

It certainly isn’t a slash, nothing like one, Blood turns his back and backs into Henderson, he then shoots the puck at goal, a bit different than people spouting off that he shot the puck at Henderson, give me a break. Blood is far from a angel, but when you sign a Doty you ain’t whiter than white yourself, except it’s okay to have a dick on your team, but not okay for others to have a dick on theirs. Don’t you just love this sport. If blood shot the puck on goal, then it was very far wide.....

How can he be? as far the rules go he should be classed as an import, same as Stewart I think he may have played some pee wee hocky in the UK before he went back to Canada that isn't shown on his EP stats. Might be wrong though. He wasn't even born in the UK! Something fishy going on here I think, as Im sure he was classed as an import when Belfast signed him.

JW is an import, and not classed as a brit, so seems a strange move by sheffield to me. He's 100% a Brit. How can he be? as far the rules go he should be classed as an import, same as Stewart

Given all the guff that came out of Sheffield / Thommo after they released their list of non-returners it appears that they are now trying everything possible to keep up with Cardiff. I know technically JW is the 2nd best Brit goalie available, but him and Bowns are very different cases - Bowns is a big, conservative and patient guy who Cardiff (all credit to them) have provided with specialist summer coaching and a solid D core year in year out, whilst Whistle is impatient, reactionary and has a history of injury problems. Thats not to say he's not a good goalie - he is, but in that home playoff quarter final for example, he had two otherworldly saves but then was also directly responsible for two of our goals and probably should of done better on a couple more. JW is an import, and not classed as a brit, so seems a strange move by sheffield to me.

Wouldn't complain. Looks a very solid ECHL defender from his stats. Also Brampton Beast so he'll know half the team already! Happily have him over Spang. I would have Tetlow over Spang
