I think the simple answer to this is “you go home, look on the internet and see what else you can buy for the cost of a Panthers season ticket next summer” Saturday night is now date night for us, a couple of nice steaks and bottles of wine, and a relaxing night in just chatting. No hurry to get back to hockey until I hear the excitement has returned. I mean with an offer like that how can I say no 😂

As much as I am Panthers through and through and want them to turn this around there’s a part of me that also doesn’t. Sit at the bottom all year, have the crowds fall week on week, have the team skate out to a nearly half empty arena or less. Fans need to stop going to fan events, stop buying shirts, stop buying tickets, stop turning up. I’m just thankful that Herr hasn’t jumped ship already because he’s the only import forward we’ve got who is worth having and trying to fix things around. If he gets injured and better replacements aren’t found then wow. Get used to being shut out

Yes its very true, the ex coaches will tell you that. He told one of our ex coaches he signs everything off, its his money and he will spend it how he sees fit. We have had a few players in the past lined up only for NB to say no and they have gone to another EIHL club. All been revealed after they have left. ‘Tis true,if NB thinks a player isn’t worth the money the coach wants to pay the guy then we don’t sign him. I’ve been told this more than once by the office and ex players. Considering NB knows the square root of naff all about ice hockey and players how the hell is he able to value a player. Just cough up and pay for the product!! The club would make more profit by spending more on players and getting us trophies because we’d be selling out most home games and buying into the team more!! Guys a tool!! That Bermuda Triangle needs to swallow him up sharpish

It’s sad to think how many fans are in the same boat where they are walking away from the club and not actually missing it. I used to go week in week out to home games and even go to a handful of away games too. I’ve now been to maybe 4 games the last 2 seasons. There is currently nothing about the club that excites me. 2013 season that team was unreal it had everything, 2014 well we know how that went but still moments of entertainment. The Cam Jansen season that guy had everyone on the edge of their seats and frankly kinda ruined it when he left because I knew there wouldn’t be another player like him for many years to come, we tried with Big Ern and he did a job and brought some spark to the game followed by Gagnon and the CHL run which was exciting but since then it’s been boring as watching paint dry. The happy clappers and the night out brigade are making it acceptable for the club to put crap on the ice and make money. True fans don’t have any power anymore. The sooner the club is sold and staff changes are made the better. When that will be . . . Your guess is as good as mine

The best protest is not attending home games. Don't put your hard earned in their pockets. I dont. Problem being many fans already did when they renewed their season tickets, money’s banked and counted. Nothing shows better than empty seats! Team skate out to a couple hundred fans on a Saturday and Moran and Black might take note. Clubs a joke, fans being mugged off and players seeming to not care or haven’t got the ability to change things.

NB wants to succeed in Europe to get into the CHL so he’s quite obviously got to open the wallet and pay for players who can deliver his wish

I’ve only been to the Sunday Clan game this season and it wasn’t anything exciting that’s for sure. We lack a goal scorer and a physical edge and aggression to our game. Defensively we looked decent barring the odd bad play mostly caused by ourselves. I feel for Ollie and Herr and they were the only two who looked like they gave a schnitzel. Time for Tim to get on the phone and get a 2-3 top end players in. www.eliteprospects.com/player/6913/david-ullstrom used to Play with Tim back in his AHL days in Bridgeport. Rumoured to on his way out of Riga, put up decent numbers in the top leagues. He’d be an upgrade for sure.

Long story very short we need a hockey minded owner who wants to push panthers to the potential!
Sadly this will remain a dream for the foreseeable future

Early season losses happen, as people have said its about how you react to it. I’d rather lose a game now when it’s easier to catch up on points than in Feb when it’s not

I’d take a 5-1 over a 7-2 anyway, looks better on the defence and goalie and that’s what wins championships

Coventry beat the Steelers in the first game of the season....wow. They’ve also shipped 15 goals in 3 games. Pretty poor considering they’ve got “the best goal tending partnership in the league” according to some. Same two go at it again tomorrow in the SkyDump, be an interesting watch.

Good start to the league campaign, solid road win and from the scoreline (with limited twitter updates) you’d assume a good defensive performance.

I feel a sense of confidence. Coventry beating them last week should give us confidence. I think Guildford have only played 2 games so far compared to our 6 so hopefully our fitness levels will de us through. 3-1 Panthers Fitness will be on our side through games but Guildford has a lot of returning players so their chemistry is set. It’ll be a good game and interesting to see how Steve Lee plays against his former club

How often do the fans get loud at the Motorpoint Library though? We have about 1000 fans in their retirement who just sit and clap along. The loudest I’ve ever heard that arena was when we won 2-0 in the CHL and that blew away anything I’d heard before, Lepine having a fight might get the boys going but they should already be fired up for being torn apart last night! Tonight’s about restoring some pride and having a consistent effort for 60 minutes. Even if we end up losing you still want to see your team battling for every inch of ice in that rink. As for us being lightweight and pushed around we already accepted that when the signings started coming in, who knows maybe something will change if that trend continues

It’ll be an interesting game, some saying their D isn’t very mobile and isn’t very fast. They’ve got good fire power up top, supposedly a good goal tending pairing but it’s yet to be put to a test in a full bodied game. Hoping panthers go in and play a good solid road game, good forecheck, play smart in our own end and capitalise in scoring opportunities. I’d be happy with a scrappy win, not bothered about entertaining wins away from home just do a job.

A bit worrying concerning he was signed quite early on. Signing announced 5 weeks ago. Hmmm... I wouldn't know for sure but potentially a hold up as its his first time applying for a working visa overseas maybe, or because it's his first professional job so everything is being tediously checked. hopefully its resolved sooner rather than later and he gets in for the weekends games.

Blow out the cobwebs Get the legs going Get the lungs burning Work on CV conditioning Get the body ready for a physical contest Come away with no injuries Players start to gel on the ice Look at line combinations Score lines irrelevant

Herr for me, sounds like an odd choice but from the odd clip ive seen on youtube I think hes going to bring a lot energy and grit each night. the blue collar players are the ones I look out for, silky hands, dekes and goals are of course a highlight but it'll be interesting to see him on the ice for sure along with Bulmer.
