I’ve tried to keep it short but I’ve not really succeeded, so I apologise:
I believe that our weaknesses lie in the forward ranks. Fans mentioned throughout the summer, as well as yourselves at TCW, that we looked short on creativity and firepower. As signings were made people were dissapointed but were willing to wait and see how a team, built by Gui and Tim, could perform with their motivation.
There are positives to this team: the work rate of the team can’t be questioned, on the whole the Brit core has stepped up, the quality on the blue-line is deep and we’ve got a great goalie tandem.
Going forward I believe we need to make personnel changes in the forward ranks. There are 3 or 4 players who I believe aren’t doing what they were brought in to do, Black needs to make funds available to Gui to replace Loiseau and at least one more forward.
We have the foundations of a good team, I believe introducing 2 or 3 forwards will see us make an impact this season.

We have the foundations of a good team, I believe introducing 2 or 3 forwards will see us make an impact this season. Most measured Sir. And, I believe, mostly correct too. 11 games in, 4 reg wins, 5 reg losses and 2 extra time losses. Not brilliant, but could be much worse. As you say, the D look (very) good (15 goals conceded in open play in 6 league games, 4 of which were away), the goalies have both played very well in games (and every goalie has the odd off night), the Brits look impressive to me (Kelsall and Hazeldine look like they absolutely belong, Lacho is a changed man (on course for an 18 goal season) and Ollie is on fire) and surely Herr would walk onto any team's top line? The issue so far is that the team are a bit toothless. Good approach play and possession don't put points on the board, not enough goals have been scored (29 in 11 games, 5 games have seen 1 or 0 goals scored). To paraphrase Sheryl Crow, I believe a change or two may do us good. Where do they go from here? Next weekend's games.

Compared to last season, you can see that the effort is there.
We have had great results in Guildford and Dundee, hopefully we can get some centers and get those kind of results again.

Compared to last season, you can see that the effort is there. Last season's team started far better than this one has, as I recall. I remember being told we'd never seen anything of the like.

No balance in the team and looks a bit cheap. Plenty of effort which makes a change, but can’t score goals. A lot to work on. Will replacing two players make a significant difference? Is Neil Black prepared to part with enough cash to make the Panthers more competitive, and are there players available who could improve the team? I feel sorry for Wallace.

I think what ive found so frustrating over the last few years is that you can see the problems coming a mile off.
There is a clear basic formula that works in this league its really not rocket science. But we consistently sign players that dont fit.
I get the distict inpression that Panthers revruitment strategy comes down to whats the best looking cv in our bubget. And not what do we need which is the way it should be.
This year is a prime example. Evreyone said the defense will be last, which it is. And loads of people said the forwards werent good enough, which they arent. Why is it that fans can consistently call out issues before a puck has even been dropped in anger?
Its worn me down and i now nore often than not dont go to the games which would never have happened a gew years ago (and i was broke back then).
This isnt that difficult go and sign what you need, not what you can get. This doesnt mean your going to win trophies, but will certainly be competing.
Also there is clearly a fundemental culture problem at the club. All the coaches and players that come through this club but its the same old story. There is a common denominator.
And im sick of us never keeping our best players. How do Panthers expect to be consistent when we have to go looking round for our top 6 every year. Other teams do not have this problem. That includes teams from the bottom.of the league. Seriously go look up the last time Panthers retained thier top goal scorer.

Caught a bit of it, will try to get the rest this evening. Some interesting stuff, especially noticing how the stance has changed towards the ownership from some over the last couple of years.

That’s what i always find interesting too. People who maybe for a few years were in the Panthers can do no wrong camp, then slowly it’s as if the penny drops and they’ve suddenly seen what’s really happening with the club and their attitude changes.

Wallace said we are looking for someone who can score goals and someone who’s physical. Andrew Crescenzi is both, he currently a free agent and he was a teammate of Sam Herr in 17-18

I think the roster mistakes have been realised & admitted to which is a novel turn of events.
So if we can go get a sniper/goalscorer, whatever you want to label it, then great.
Time for Gui to prove the job title.

Time for Gui to prove the job title. Question is though.... Why did it take them two months to find out and realise what the fans (who supposedly know nothing) could see back in late August/early September ? 🤔
