What about Lepine as player coach? Clarke to assist and be a spare Brit should we need him?

For years people on here have claimed that the panthers have been bankrolling the clan, now many are claiming that they were just a small budget club?
GM could learn a trick or three on spin by reading this forum.

Again though Ping, that's a different argument. We may not want to massively outspend the rest to avoid chasing teams away, that's hardly unreasonable. Is the figure too low? Who knows. Certainly no one on here no matter how ITK they like to pretend they are. But, again, why is it we need to "blow the rest out of the water"? Why can't we take a team that costs the same as our rivals, and match them up? It's my attempt at explaining why we fail so often, which I think is what the OP was getting at.

The more years I watch the Panthers, the more I suspect that our teams budget is set to be competitive and to not 'rock the boat'.

I don't give a rats ass how muuch they get paid, as long as they put the puck into the back of the net! Well that may be true you get what you pay for so maybe you should give a ‘rats ass’ as the correlation is fairly obvious. I think you have missed the second part of the equation........

The Panthers website article states that talks with a new player are at an 'advanced stage' Yes but will they be with someone cheaper on the wage side of things? I don't give a rats ass how muuch they get paid, as long as they put the puck into the back of the net!

I'm really not looking forward to tonight's match, this (all too predictable) slump has really knocked the joy out of watching the team play

We were so poor in the first two periods. I really dislike our entries on the power play. Drop pass - drop pass - smash it in the corner.....

Not always a penalty shot its optional... as is a 2 min minor as i havent seen the offending penalty can it be confirmed definitely that this actually happened (other end of the ice from me and all that) or is this another case of anything to help the steelers like all those penalties in the last period... Yes its in the highlights, lacho shots a disgarded stick towards a steeler with the puck.

The issue is that an apology may be taken by Neil Black et al as an admission of guilt, regardless of how it's phrased, and therefore taken as justification for the ban. You could turn this on its head, if the ban is rescinded without an apology from Rob a lot of people will see that as Black et al admitting that the ban was unjustified in the first place, which is why I cant see it being lifted without an apology.

I just can't bring myself to give money to anything that he is directly involved in. There are other good causes looking for money this Christmas that I will give to.

Is this the micky mouse competition that any elite league team would win at a canter?

I suspect most of the time who gets the home advantage in QF relates to the availability of the arenas at relatively short notice.

I like this rule, but it is madness that it was not decided at the start of competition. Of course people are going to speculate that the people pushing it through would be the ones that benifit directly from them.
I guess the Steelers can now decide if they opt for a 'smaller' team or a bigger draw depending on the availability of their arena.

Has anyone said what reason they have for the ban? The only reason I can think is maybe selling stuff on the premises?
