Disgraceful to be honest! But I expected nothing less especially when they 'll be imports missing! Steelers manage to charge a fiver on 2 games shame Panthers can't do something similar I don't often defend the management but Steelers are playing their pre-season games at ice sheffield. If we had a tuppence- ha'penney venue available we could charge a fiver.

Lost any shred of respect from me for not seeking any retribution for Miika's injury. That should not have gone unpunished imo. I get that he was sent off, but if you can't get at the perpetrator you go for their enforcer or even their skill guys. He should have bossed the rest of that game. What did you want to see? McGrattan leave the bench and chase Armstrong into the locker room?! Of course not, but I would have expected some kind of response from our enforcer. Knock into their keeper, no choice their enforcer etc.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this guy. Looks like the big stay at home d man that we needed last year imo. Plus, he is the son of former Peterborough player Cam Plante who i remember very fondly from all those years ago. LinkEx-NHLer who is still only 28, can defend, can fight, would be a great addition imo.

Good on the Swedes for outsimmsying Simmsy. Can't say I'm bothered about this one. Old, short, and numbers are OKish - considering he's described in the blurb as an offensive forward. Could turn out to be a good setup man over here I guess, but I won't lose any sleep. I hope its true. He looks a very poor signing indeed. I would be pretty bleeped off if we'd signed him.

Appreciate this will be unpopular round here - but is there any reason whatsoever why this guy shouldn't be the Number 1? Certainly looks good enough. I think he will share the number 1 spot with another and who is in form will get it. I don't think he's here to ride the pine.

Surely any league Sponsor is better than nothing? A). It would contribute some money to the league even if it was only a small amount in year 1 then better than nothing. B). It would make it easier to attract a sponsor for next year. I could get a company to agree to sponsor the league for next season and have it all signed up by the end of the month so why can't the EIHL sort something out? If the main league sponsor was a travel company, (Like BMI baby previously) this would also solve the problems teams have with travel. We could offer someone like Skills title sponsorship in return for coaches for the teams too and from away games. They could even sweeten the deal by saying that official away team travel has to be done through skills or something. Just an example of out the box thinking that seems so lacking in the EIHL. EDIT: At the very least we may be able to talk them into sponsoring the poverty conference.

www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=45607Dane Fox (don't think mentioned already). Basically just everything we need - young, goal scorer, playmaker, can fight... in fact he lead his team in goals, assists, points, pims & games played (only missing 1 regular season game). Great name to have on a Panthers jersey too! A bit more unrealistic: Carter Verhaeghe www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=116967Played with Fox last year and had 2.00 PPG in 16 ECHL games. Very young, centre and was one of only a few that was in positive +/- in Missouri. I mentioned Fox a few pages ago, totally agree though, he would be a fantastic addition. Verhaeghe looks amazing but i'd imagine he'll be getting an AHL contract again this year, unfortunately.

No to both of them. I want to see real quality and that means impressive resumes Whilst I agree we want players with top pedigree. What i want more is a balanced TEAM. You can't really tell how a stay at home d man plays just by stats alone. I think mike Bergin could be a great signing for our second D line, look at his +/- in the ECHL. The only issue for me would be he only played half a season last year.

We have to remember though, the league was of a much lower standard then, than it is currently. Plus, because of the insane conference system, K-Wall and Wiikman have played more regularly against the better teams in the league also. So although it was indeed eye opening, i still think K-Wall was the better goalie.

Bet that's surprised plenty of people Spik......Cruickshank never got the credit he deserved in Nottingham. We were daft to let him go when we did. He was on one decent ish Panthers team and one poor team too. Definitely surprised me, Cruickshank was a class goalie on his day but he disappeared in the big games. Whereas, K-Wall would have some ropey games during the league etc, you knew if it was a final or a big game, he would turn up.

Borrowed from Steeltalk, I'm sorry to say this as I would hate to lose any team but, if you can't afford to operate in this league, maybe you shouldn't be in it at all.

Chad Costello would be a class signing. Not missed a game in 3 years either! That's some feat.

Oh the excitement!! EDIT: my excitement could only be heightened by another showing of the fiercest rivalry in Europe!! But on a serious note, do we not play these teams enough during a season? Money will remain in my pocket for these I think.

Why not keep the roster limit but reduce the import limit? Makes more sense than cutting an entire space, especially if it's too ensure the Brits don't die off. Because that would mean the richer clubs signing more brits, further exacerbating the shortage of brits for all teams.

If anything I'd like to see a P put in front of his jersey number.

poo poo that's what. Just enjoy your summer before it gets ruined by panthers signing players!! my benchmark is sheffield's team from this season, proven quality and plenty of point scorers, exactly what we lacked this year. we'll really see what mindset we have when we come out with a similar team to our last CHL campaign, relying o nthe likes of Jacina and Parent to score goals against a swedish elite league team My benchmark would be the Cardiff team of this season. So well balanced in all areas with toughness, scoring, playmaking, mixture of youth and experience. There is no wonder than won it at a canter.
