'Tonight the Panthers go for a 4pt weekend'. Sorry did I miss something yesterday, did we come back out after Clan had left and score a couple more

I recall a key game v Murrayfield back in the mists of time, whenever the great Tony Hand came on the ice, a certain Randall Weber was detailed to follow him all over the ice and ensure he had little effect on the play. Although he's not in the Hand class, Mathieu Roy continues to make something happen whenever he's on the ice. Pity that no-one on Panthers bench noticed that and kept an eye on him.

Will he be in to inevitably score against us on Sunday? Everyone scores against Panthers.. But the signing of Lawrence is so very EIHL .. which other league in Europe would take him on .. 5+game for Larry tonight.

Braehead Clan sign Braylon Shymr, previously of Guildford and discussed in the 'Old Boys' thread. Suppose all he can do is score the ot winner in his first game

Out fought, out thought, out muscled. No offence. Carr didn't deserve to finish on the losing side.

4-3 result, not bad for a team that only played for 20 mins. We were dire. Yep,good job you weren’t playing against an NHL team tonight. 🤣🤣 5-3 ??

Chris Lawrence returns to these shores, signing for Fife Flyers. Lawrence v Beibarys netminder, Continental Cup Final second game, as Dave Ling was quoted as saying in the GM book, 'he got Looooooooned'.

Interestingly, this move will reunite him with his former coach... One Tim Wallace, now head of player development at MK. although Wallace doesn't appear to get involved with the coaching side, that's done by Lewis Clifford

Just finished reading Jamie's book, or rather the book about Jamie's life and career, as it wasn't written by him. At 94 pages it doesn't take long, in fact it actually starts on p15 so it's about the length of two Harry Potter chapters. It deals very quickly with him growing up, having a famous dad, learning to play, getting drafted, joining Pittsburgh where it gives a little more detail, then basically finishes in 1992. His time after that barely gets a mention, although it does say he played in Nottingham, but not Sheffield. An interesting book for those familiar with the name Leach, but why do it with so little detail. It was written in consultation with his family and does quote him, but tells nothing of his life after hockey, and little of his career in it.

Good game, good win. 3rd goal was key, scoring so quickly after they equalised. Another 2hr game.

Apart from blocking people on Twitter and listening to the boo's at the end of a game it makes you wonder what connection they have at all. There's ways of reaching 'them'... I'm giving away far too many clues lately. Will reign it in. You are Neil Black and I claim my prize

Absolute tripe. Sheffield - Excellent entrance video, live dressing room cam, flag skaters, PROPER player announcements with animated pic. Panthers - Absolutely any old crap to keep the clappers happy Exactly I see alot of fans say they ain't bothered what's on the screen as a intro but more bothered about what's on the ice fair point but to me that just apathy which has set in. Having a good intro just makes the club look a lot more professional instead it's amateurish at best . Paws with his silly dance etc makes it more like a kids disco than a serious intro . It's just cringe beyond belief in afraid .. I walked away ages ago and it seems nothing has improved If the job is going to be done it should be done right. When new players join the club their picture should appear on the video. But, without trying to sound patronising, I fully understand if this job is not some-ones first role then it won't be a priority for them. It's not critical and won't make the slightest bit of difference to whether the team wins or loses.

Something else about last nights' off-ice presentation, and this isn't a moan at Panthers. Ollie & Mathieu posed for a pregame photo with the match mascot. But at the end of the game the Mom presentation (posing for a photo with the sponsor) did not take place due to covid protocol. Have I got this wrong, can someone explain why one is ok but not the other.
