The bookmaker Skybet currently have Coventry at odds of 2.7(17/10)to win the match, pretty good odds those for a team that will be trying, against a team that won't be...

Well as Hanson confirmed that Dowd would also have been ejected and in the first period, it shows up Hicks inept officiating, as had the correct calls been made, then more than likely panthers would have won! Panthers should also have asked for a review against Hicks reffing display! Come back Carson.

Well very well done to panthers for the result today, but still annoyed about saturday!
Wish had some consistency, instead of being constantly inconsistent...
woeful for two periods in losing 4-2 to the leagues 8th place team with a back up netminder, then beat the 2nd place team 8-0 the following day.

Will be heading to Cardiff for this one, so certainly hoping for a good performance & a win for panthers!
Was wondering what blocks do Panthers fans sit in please? Deciding if best to buy tickets beforehand, is there usually much of a queue for tickets?

Yeah I meant on the extra games added I'm January Think every team gets a live appearance in the next 6 weeks, so being fair and spreading it accross all the teams. Expect Panthers will feature at least once in February, as saturday games include playing Steelers twice & belfast once.

3-2 defeat, but Panthers didn't deserve to lose that!
David Clarke apparantly offered out the Asiago bench near the end, but no takers...

Very unlucky panthers! Looked a very soft penalty call on which Toros scored with two minutes to go.

I'd like to see a replay of the Henley thing, can't say I'm as confident that Spencer engaged first tbh. If Spencer did engage first then I stand corrected, but it would surprise me if Spencer had been a chicken as he has fought Henley before. He offered nothing in return which makes me think it wasn't a fight they were both willing participants in. This is what Owen Bradley, Panthers reporter for Radio Nottingham said on twitter: "Okay, so the Henley-Spencer incident, having watched the tape back: Henley comes off bench for line change, engages with Spencer. It's Spencer who gets the first jab in with gloves on but Henley clearly fancies it, shakes off the gloves, and starts throwing."

Well Henley's comeback didn't last long.... Chucked out after 8 mins for excessive rough play on Spencer. Though Panthers go 1-0 up with SH goal from francis.

But this is a team that won in Shuff and in Cardiff, so that inconsistency makes them dangerous! Taking nothing for granted, this game could go either way. Absolutely. And at home, in Fortress Fife, the Flyers are far more dangerous than on the road. We've gone up there before in a complacent frame of mind and been soundly slapped for it. No complacency, no let-up, no mercy. And no total cobblers about any 'code'... go into their barn and (purely in a hockey sense, of course!) rape and pillage. I'd happily take a one-goal win, but if things go well enough that we're five goals up - keep going for more. and before tonight Fife had only won twice at home in 9 games this season. In their previous 3 home games they had lost 3-0 & 4-1 to Shuff & 4-1 to Hull. A lot down to consistency which the Panthers haven't had much of this season, but then don't think any team really has maintained yet.

I knew this was coming, and it's to do with family & work reasons.
If Matty could have stayed on next season, I'm sure he would. He couldn't have asked for a better send off though, a slam in his final season as a Panther.
Who knows, one day he could return to play in the black & gold.

Apparently this team will be the Harringay Racers, but will use 'London' in the PR etc to try to appeal to wider audience. That makes more sense, as at that level there would be complaints from the other London based teams, if they had used just London in their name. I hardly use twitter so thanks for the updates guys. I might go to the try outs, but need to brush on both my skating & stick play first. ;D Harringey Racers/Greyhounds have played out of Ally Pally on and off for about past 20 years but with little success. Nick Rothwell was involved with them in early 2010. They were suppose to come back last season as the North London Greyhounds, but didn't.

I can't find any info, has anyone got any more info on the announcement or know when it will be made?
I'm guessing they are kind of the replacement for a "Haringey team", last known as Haringey Greyhounds I think, who played out of the Alexandra palace rink until 2 years ago, when the rink got closed for redevelopment. I thought they would be back playing this season just gone, but it didn't happen.
Though renaming and rebranding themselves "London Racers", looks like it's to attract a wider London base, and to try and get those fans of the previous london racers team back onside and supporting them. It does seem a bit cheeky, so wondering if they are going to be allowed to call themselves "london racers"
In London itself you also have Lee valley, who also play in the ED2 south. They actually lost all their league games last season. There is nothing on their website to indicate that they are not continuing next season, although Romford are looking to share their rink next season while their new rink is being built.
Also in London is Streatham Redskins who finished 7th in ED1 South this season.
