From the official site: But in the short-term Panthers will be without Henley and Werner this weekend AND there are question marks over captain David Clarke, Bob Wren, and Chris Capraro. The latter two came off injured during the win over Fife on Sunday and it isn't known yet how long they may be on the sidelines.
And imho this is all down to the management/coaches fault, it has been mentioned numerous times that we needed a sniper(now got Jensen so some things are moving although from the beginning of the season would have been better) we needed to replace the quality brits we lost with similar (and now Clark is injured leaving us very short with quality brits) and we needed more than a 3 import D and now we are down to a single import, a 37 yr old brit who everyone knows cant log the minutes he used to and a very young kid in Norton (and to be honest Lee isnt much older and still learning too)....
Looks like we arent bringing in a replacement either, so any dropped points in Scotland (and with all due respect we should have normally picked up all 4 points) are wasted points and imho down purely to management decisions and a complete lack of thinking ahead, and all this after we are told we are wanting to improve the squad ahead of the CC, not what i have witnessed so far...

Sounds like they will be bringing in another D man for the weekend. Tuukka Makela.

Reading a bit more about him he sounds like a big solid D man, very stay at home. His appears to have had 12 career fights including one against Fife's Matt Nickerson.

Clarke was just on Radio Nottingham.
Says he will be back on the Ice tomorrow and sounds very confident about being in the line up for this weekend.

Makela has now checked in at the World Famous Capital FM Arena so he will be available for the weekend games.

Still loads of imports down, Henley, Werner, Capraro, Kowalski and possibly Wren plus very little from Clark even with the addition its going to be a tough weekend up north...
Does anyone know if there is a webcast from Fife? there was a free one last year which considering it was free was alot better than some that charge...

No doubt a tough weekend but we should still be able to ice 11 imports. That's not bad in my book when you have that many injuries.
If we play hard enough we should bring home the 4 points and then hopefully get a few back in time for the Sheffield weekend.

No webcasts from Fife this year unfortunately, I asked the same question earlier in the season. You'll have to rely on twitter.

Even with the injuries we should be getting 2 points from a flyers side down on their confidence and struggling to find the net. Not a guarantee though so hopefully these 'half-hearted' games are out of the system!

Taking nothing for granted, this game could go either way.

Taking nothing for granted, this game could go either way. Absolutely. And at home, in Fortress Fife, the Flyers are far more dangerous than on the road. We've gone up there before in a complacent frame of mind and been soundly slapped for it. No complacency, no let-up, no mercy. And no total cobblers about any 'code'... go into their barn and (purely in a hockey sense, of course!) rape and pillage. I'd happily take a one-goal win, but if things go well enough that we're five goals up - keep going for more.

I always feel that shows a bit of respect to an opponent if you never left up even if several goals ahead. Always treat them as being dangerous right to the last minute. I like a bit of respect between opponents.

From Tweets.
"Salters v Nickerson centre ice. Decent scrap with Nickerson going down at the end."
"Pens: Nickerson (FIFE) and Salters (PANTHERS) 5 each for roughing?!?? 21:47"
"Salters cut his hand hitting the back of Nickerson's head in the fight. Having treatment."

Just conceeded our 2nd SH goal of the evening to go 3-2 behind. Making things very difficult for ourselves.
Massive 3rd period needed....
