Shocking attendance for a Saturday Maybe impacted by Goose Fair but Omar has a hell of a job on his hands getting the fans re-engaged. He's fighting a losing battle if the on ice product doesn't drastically improve soon though 4823 there allegedly tonight, are they back to the old days of lying again ? Crowd looked about right to be fair,no idea how many were paid tickets though. My wife and few others I know weren't in attendance due to the old rona. In regards the game,I don't actually think we were 'that' bad, just defensively we were dreadful at times and our forwards kept shooting straight at Owen. Flyers were clinical and deserved the win.

It should be noted that a lot of the sponsors have 'suspended' sponsorship not withdrawn completely.
NB said he will be trying to speak to them this week so we may see a few back on board if they like what he has to say.

Solid slick performance,a complete transformation from the last game I saw (Blaze). Just seemed more intense with higher energy and was really good to watch.
Some nice goals and Gagnon had a good battle with Folk

Must be the first Israeli born player to play for Panthers?

Exactly this. I have heard from a source very close to the team that the senior players are not buying in to the GG way. After 3 weeks of training and 4 competitive games? I don’t buy that I’m afraid. If it is true then we’ve got some quite unprofessional players Without us knowing what happens behind closed doors I think we need to keep this possibility very open. It seems clear to me a lot of the players are not playing for the coach already.

I think it's clear something is wrong in the locker room, the players looked disinterested and not together. I wonder if GG has lost the changing room already.
I was stunned at how bad that was tonight

An open training session announced for Friday. When was the last time we had an open training session to invite fans to? (That wasn’t a sponsors only event) I recall going to one the season we had Penner as he broke the plexi as he jumped at it on his introduction onto the ice...

Cam anyone explain why a lot of people don't have a high opinion of him? I tend to avoid Panthers social media so must have missed something.

I believe Hopkins will be an elite level Brit in a few years time so I'm glad we've tied him up again.
Ther aren't that many elite Brits doing the rounds so hopefully we'll have some top notch imports to make up for it.
Early days let's not write the season off yet.

Excellent performance and result thoroughly deserved the win.
The early goal seemed to rattle Steelers and we didn't let up the intensity all night.
Richards goal was a thing of beauty and Carr was magnificent.
Steelers didn't look to have the jump they usually have.

ENG at 58.48 same time as Goalie changes shows a 'change' ie, CARR off. So he must have just got to the bench when it went in? So was it ENG or general goal? TOI showing 58.04 ? It was an ENG and Carr had been off for a while at that point I'm pretty sure. As had been said 7-3 was harsh on us but once our effort dropped (we looked cooked in the 3rd) we were no match for Sheffield. Our effort is the only thing that keeps us close against the top teams and once that has gone we don't have much. Highlight for me was Norrish scoring the 3rd goal, he suddenly had speed to burn and what a finish! Lack of quality costs us again

Sooo glad I booked to go away this weekend before they changed the dates. Been to every PO weekend since 2001, even if I wasn't away not a chance I would be going!

Gutting way to end regulation as I felt we were good value for the win despite being outshot by Belfast.
The team looks completely different than even a few weeks ago, more aggression, more desire and the players look to have bags more confidence in themselves and each other.

We started vert slowly and it looked like Sundays drama had taken a lot out of them but we looked fresher the longer the game went on weirdly.
Solid win and back to back wins which makes a change!
One thing I have noticed is that we look a lot more aggressive with everything we do since Whistle came in,we hit more and don't back down from other players like we did under TW.

You would think Louis will get some kind of ban for his actions. He completely lost control and as has been mentioned above, over nothing And yet Richards threw the first punches, before that they were both rolling on the ice, Richards is a feisty player but started something last night that he couldn’t finish. But the better team on the night won the game Richards was on his back and had two Devils players dive on top of him, what's he supposed to do let them hit him first? Cardiff were taking liberties because they know we have no toughness at all, just a shame we don't have anybody go physically match up to the likes of Louis.

Great game, best of the season by a mile,we kept up the intensity for the entire game and although physically mismatched we tried play the body and match them in that department.
Just a shame we have nobody to match up to the likes of Louis although got to praise Richards for trying!
That game had the edge I've missed most of this season, but again why do we so do well against Cardiff at home so often!

I actually thought we played pretty well tonight and were unlucky to lose.
Usual problems though of not being clinical in front of goal despite the large amount of possession we had.
Carr had a tremendous game, his move when he came racing out the goal was the highlight for me.
Also good to see the arena with a decent crowd even if some might be free, made a big difference to the atmosphere. Funny what happens when we have a Saturday night game as well unlike these numerous Sundays afternoon fixtures we keep having!

What the attendance looking like for this one, still sparse? 3796 was on the gamesheet but there did seem quite a few potential comps tonight and groups of kids so may be accurate! Certainly looked a bit busier than last Sunday but the given crowd was more then so who knows!

Wow that was a tough watch
Clan played the perfect road game and we couldn't break them down...very flat for the last 2 periods...complete snoozefest which is a shame as the first 10 mins were pretty good.

Saturday nights are an easy sell to a casual fan, I suspect Sundays are better for a family audience...midweek...hard sell to anybody even season ticket holders.
My worry is the fewer fans attend games (as is happening) the less money Panthers brings in and the easier it is for the arena to bump us from Saturday nights in the future.

A view from someone there. On the whole they played well, Richards and Baillargeon particually, Boivin has the skills but his size is against him unless he can use his speed. Well taken goals, but still the lapse in concentration that allows the opposition to score, it's as if the D and Carr takwe a time out for a shift or two and then concede a couple of goals and they are back in the room. Can they keep it up? If they play like they did last night then I think they will progress. Baillargeon continues (to me) to be a pleasing enigma. I'm not sure he's the hardest worker out there, and not the best skillset all told, but he's racking up points whilst being (statistically at least) defensively responsible. (29GP, 12 goals (team leading) + 14 assists (joint second), team leading +8, in all games.) Just shows what I know. Long may it continue. He reminds me a bit of a less physical and skilled Chris Lawrence. He had one of his better games last night I felt.

3 wins on the bounce! Seems a long time since that happened.
Wasn't a classic but pretty watchable, some nice goals and was end to end in large parts.
I think Richards is getting better by the game, his second was a great finish.
Crowd was better than I expected but doubt 3266 unless non attending season ticket holders were counted (I know at least 6 who didn't bother this evening)

Well they win and the thread barely makes two pages. Is that because there is nothing for the non attending detractors to complain about? I can comment as I didn't attend the away game. Sadly I think there is so much apathy in regards a lot of Panthers fans at the moment (myself included). I just cannot get excited about hockey this season, the consistent poor quality and lack of intensity is knocking my love of the game out of me.
