If we get an overtime win = 50 pts and Dundee lose in OT = 50pts, surely we lose on 'all games won' scenario? We'd both have 15 regulation wins, and 6 overtime wins, 21 in total. Yes...then as you said, surely. In the event of teams being equal on points at the end of a season, the following criteria will decide the final league ranking; i. Total number of points. ii. Total number of games won in regulation time. iii. Total number of all games won (regulation, overtime and penalties).- combined...?iv. The results of games played between the relevant teams by applying points won, games won in regulation time, all games won (regulation time/overtime/penalties), in that order of priority.

If Dundee only got a point, and we won in regulation, then we'd have more regulation wins than them (currently 15 each), so we'd finish above them. In fact if we got an overtime win, and they lose in overtime, we could have to go to the fourth tie-breaker (head to head record). No idea who wins that. If we get an overtime win = 50 pts and Dundee lose in OT = 50pts, surely we lose on 'all games won' scenario? No I've got that wrong.... head spinning now.lol

Yes, done a bad one for us there. As Dundee have more games won than us (after regulation wins) assuming we win and they get a point. We have to rely on Glasgow only getting one and Coventry losing, leaving them below us.

Wonder what the cost is for the newbies and with ALL games (be them played or not) ie) don't qualify for the Play Offs or indeed move onto the semi's. Challenge Cup probably not played over 30 odd games this next season then.

Another disappointing result with the overtime goal by Glasgow. Maybe Manchester away and at home to be our last matches this season and McGURTY able to get in his 50th game for us.

GB squad member Brine ( remember seeing his dad play) so hope you doesn’t play his team into a good result. He has so far. Looking a great result for Dundee. Now back to chasing the two with worst regulation wins in Coventry and Glasgow.

After forgetting Myles McGURTY reaching over the 50th penalty mark recently, Jordon KELSALL ads to his own total which is now topping over 100 himself.
Otto NIEMINEN strikes the 50 mark in points as Luca SHELDON and Mathieu LEMAY also make 50 games for Nottingham this week.

I was not bothered if Dundee won. It's still the same ball park of 45-46 points to chase and the more teams to chase around that score the merrier.

WTF? Amateur hour ascends to new heights with this week's preview. It begins... "Cup runners-up Guildford Flames are on the road for a double-header in Belfast as they look to catch the Giants up and move into fourth" Errrr, wait. The Flames are currently fourth. How can they move into fourth...from fourth. And it's not like the writer doesn't know they're in fourth because the very next sentence is... "The Flames are on a three-game losing run, however, which has seen them slip to just one point clear of fifth" So to clarify: the 4th placed Flames, just one point clear of 5th in their 4th place positioning, are looking to move into 4th from their 4th position by closing the gap to 3rd from 4th. We all clear now? 😂 Is beyond me how anyone can write those sentences next to each other and not see that they totally contradict each other, so at least one most be wrong. Mind blown 🤯 I gave up at that point, so there may be others. Life was too short to spend it trying to make sense of the article... www.eliteleague.co.uk/article/3797-friday-all-eyes-back-on-the-playoff-raceTypical of Nottingham at the end of season awards ( ‘get your tickets now’ they say) when they get their ‘ top goal or points scorers’ wrong. A simple fact, written there in front of you. Embarrassing. The last two years given the award to the wrong person.

I might be wrong and I can't be bothered to check, but I think the last time Panthers failed to qualify for post season play was 1983-4 season. 84-85 they qualified after a final day win in Streatham and have always reached the group stage or qf final since. Apart from covid season of course. Non qualifiers 46/47... 80/81...Icy-Smith Cup non entrants, did not qualify 81/82...English league non qualifier though we finished 2nd, Blackpool as a regional winner chosen 82/83...non qualifier 83/84...non qualifier 84/85... non qualifier So your correct. Remembering all qualified in certain seasons.

Yep. Never liked him either but he’s better than Rok We’d be higher up in the league if Carr was in net for us. 78% save percentage for Rok tonight Rok,s percentages dropping rapidly each game now.
