I've read in a few places that had it been a straight league or 2x6 we would have had a league of 6 to 8 teams. surely that would have devalued the league even more? in my eyes it would have ruined the league all together. wed have had even more games against Steelers etc which most of us think are too much already. as for giving teams like coventry an advantage,I think the teams in our conference already have the biggest advantage you can get in sport, Money. with no apparent wage cap. I think it will make games a lot more interesting right until the end of the season rather than teams having nothing to play for, for the last month or so. I think it's a good thing for the league, others think it's terrible. however we all want the Panthers to be successful so rather than taking it out on our team for the league's decision. let's get behind the team!

can anyone explain to me how this makes it harder for us to win the league? as far as I can see, we play Sheffield cardiff and belfast the same amount of times as previous years, lose 4 games v coventry (who seem to be abit of a bogey team for us) and gain 4 games v mk and 4v Guildford. how is that any harder than previous seasons?

as far as I'm concerned it's great. it makes the league as competitive as possible and sustainable as a 12 team league. id much rather it be this way than lose teams due to funding and end up like the epihl. the only change I'd like to be made would be the challenge cup groups done as a cup draw, and 3x3 against your own conference.

after listening to that mcgratatten interview , signing Lepine is a must for me, quality dman capable of playing the enforcer role and taking on the big boys in this league. 99 percent sure mcgratatten won't be back

This does give me some hope. At least there is some acknolwedgment of the recruitment failing. Which is far more than you ever hear from the club normally. I also like the hearing that we need a hungrier and younger team. Ive always thought some of the best players in this league are mid to late 20's guys out of the echl, as apposed to 30 plus guys with previous ahl experience. Wether this translates into better recruitment we'll have to see. But at least Corey's is aware of it. there's no doubting players like brad morans ability but it was clear to see there was no hunger there, where as you look at the likes of Jeff brown (poor example in terms of his role) who gave everything every night and every shift, that's what I'd rather have ,hunger. I do think 1 or 2, possibly 3 with mcgratten ,with mum experience is a good thing but this years team was way too old for me

surely by keeping squad levels as they are now will be better for Brits. rather than just spread the decent quality Brits over 12 teams, why not give more Brits the opportunity to get into the league?

I personally don't think that is fully over the line, therefore, I don't think it's a goal & if there's any doubt, then it shouldn't be given either... Exactly. A precedent was set a couple of weeks ago by the decision in our league match, against (oddly enough) Sheffield. Too much doubt, wash it out. Quite how one team can get a massive benefit of the doubt on both decisions beggars belief. wouldn't be anything to do with Tony Smith would it? I know they don't get a wage just expenses, but we all know how expenses work don't we 😉

I think it unfair to blame Dan Green for the loss he came on cold and hes a third choice netminder. The problem is we should never of been put in the situation we was in. Pacl should of dressed just in case as the programme should of been protect the lead on away ice. It would of been the right decision only if we were losing. Also we need to look at how many non import netminders would be willing to sit on a bench and get so little ice time, for this we should be grateful we have Dan who is aware of his limitations and happy to bring what he can when he can. I'm sorry but he's employed by the Panthers to do a job, to back up. by backing up he should be capable of coming on when needed and making stops, the only things he stops are the ones that hit him, that's clear even watching him in warm up he is useless. it's not all his own fault, it's Coreys for giving him a contract too but he should do the honourable think and either retire or find his level. I feel more mugged off seeing my ticket money paying his wages than I do Carter! p.s if his level of goaltending is acceptable then hit me up Corey £££

that's what needs to happen, id be getting in touch with that young lad Edinburgh used when we beat them 4-2 earlier in the season, he was only 17/18 and had a really good game I thought , defiantly some potential there. green has past it is much rather us be giving experience to someone that could improve

flying for 1 period and sitting back for 5 isn't good enough, we could have put them out of sight if it went for Corys tactics. dirty play won the game but we gave them the chance , it should have been done and dusted by then after walking in with a 3 goal lead

Yup, not a goal for me. Interesting that there were a lot of "miles over the line" comments (not on here, but Twitter). They do say eye witness testimony is pretty unreliable. I must admit from where I was sat behind the goal, it did look like it had gone over the line.sooner everybody has goal line technology the better though as it'll save the debates

...so 15% (just slightly rounded up) of our total PP goals this season came in 1 game. Says it all really. Almost as good as 25% of Lawrence's 16 goals this season coming in one game in October. That is astounding to be honest. Get the EIHL player of the week or whatever it is then gets injured then comes back as a shadow of the player he was. the player he was for one weekend out of a 7 month season. he's way too inconsistent to be a have a team built around him being a top 6 forward. top 6 forward for the caps or Dundee maybe but not a team with aspirations of silverware

I'm not saying is like thommo at the Panthers but theirs a huge difference between Corey and thommo. Friday was more or less a dead rubber game, thommo was very animated urging his team on even when they were winning while Corey stands, hands in pockets, without a care in the world. giving him a 2 year deal was a big mistake in my opinion, if he wasn't so secure in his job maybe he'd atleast look interested.

No teams are leaving the league, that's been confirmed. The import visa issue would be known before the meeting and would be common knowledge... KHL theory is interesting as they'd need 5 Brits to rostered in each game, so about 6-7 would be snapped up. Did I ever say how good Steve Lee is. He's deffinaitly the best British Dman there is. And as Robert Farmer, woudn't touch him with a barge pole. Awefull player. Lacho could be the Crosby of the KHL

Did anyone see GM the GM last night? - I did not get to the Q&A (to be honest I forgot it was on) - sat behind NB during the game, GM usually comes to speak to him, but did not see him last night - noticed at the end of the game NB appeared to be counting the players and making notes !!!!! - A good game to watch, and a good lwin yes he was defiantly there, he was in his usual box
