Fantastic win and yet another gritty performance. This team shows no quit, it's really great to see. Like day and night compared to last season! Depending how much longer Derlago is out for I'd like to see us look at bringing in some cover as the lads can't have much left in the tank at the mo!! I've been thinking the same regarding derlagos situation, maybe look at bringing Schultz back in as cover if he's not retired. he'd be great if we were to carry a spare skater.

Not sure how much I buy the fatigue thing. They are pro athletes and we have 4 lines. Spot the kids in for additional rest if needed. For me they took their foot off the gas after the initial dominance. Lots of teams I’ve played for (albeit in a different sport) have relaxed when they think they have the game won, and let the other team come back into it. Then very difficult to turn back the tide. Still - a win’s a win there is no way we could have the energy levels guildford had after the week we've had, 4 games in 7 days and 1 of them abroad, I don't normally defend them for being fatigued, but you just can't expect them to match teams for energy after that kind of week

glad we got the win in the end but this game should have been put to bed in the first 20 minutes, so wasteful, hopefully we book our ideas up for tomorrow , can feel a backlash coming on from the devils defeat tonight.

listening to moseys interview he seems to think having 40 shots per game and scoring as little as we do is nothing to worry about. God knows what Corey is telling them! is rather have less shots and be more clinical! this team is massively miss firing in the league, shalla, mosey, phillips particularly disappointing for me. i dont think garnetts performances in the league have lived up to his resume either.

gagnon looks like he's trying too hard for a big hit or to start something, watched him the last 3 home games, for multiple times each game he comes flying from our zone to their blue line to make a hit, they see him coming and make the quick pass and it's 2v1 or 3v1 at the back as he can't get back quick enough. also last night in our own neutral zone, charged from the front of the net to the boards near the blue line to make a hit and missed then came back and knocked someone to the ice with the pick nowhere near, lucky not to get called interference in my opinion. hes starting to look like a loose cannon to me . get the basics done right before you start those antics. Every one of our defence spent as much time behind thier net as they did around ours at some point over the last few games and it's a wonder no ones punished us properly for that yet. I have a feeling that over the coming weeks someone will. they did but gagnon stood out to me over the last 3 games, trying to step up when we lose Possesion far too often, although none of our D have been great.

our D hasn't looked great at times but we won't be coming up against firepower like this in the eihl, the way they move the pick around is unbelievable, shall looks a very good signing aswell as bussieres and mokshantsev, not so sure on Phillips still but we will see in time. overall I think the boys can be proud of themselves

just looking into going to belfast for the weekend for the double header and need abit of advice. how far is the airport away from the city centre, would a flight arriving in belfast at 3.30pm on the Friday be pushing it to get to the hotel and then the arena for 7pm ish? there is a morning flight available but obviously if be hanging around before I can check into the hotel. also, can anyone recommend a hotel not too far from the rink (walking distance if possible) at a fair price? My first trip to Belfast this one too. An idea for Hotels. 2 Premier Inns at least close by. One is 0.7miles from Arena(10-15mins walk) - £128 for 2 nights Other is 1.1miles (around 20mins walk) - £113. Loads more choice but those 2 are an example. Good location for city centre too. thanks, where are you flying from and to? flights to city airport seem to be alot more expensive than international, found easy jet flights from Manchester pretty cheap

really hope to be proved wrong but I can't get excited about any of the squad so far apart from Garnett, on paper they're all looking signings wed be expecting from storm, blaze or clan, not a team challenging for the league

The Scots conference of 4 I can understand. But somebody please explain why the other 8 teams were split as they have been, into a VERY HARD conference and a much easier one ? Why did we not have this split. Nottingham Cardiff Guildford M Keynes Sheffield Belfast Coventry Manchester That is a fair split and makes geographical sense too. So why did the EIHL ignore it and just lump the big 4 together ? geographically yes that makes sense but in terms of ability, I doubt that's even. blaze and storm are used to this league so should be of higher ability than lightening and flames with them being in your first year. even if the 2 conferences were even on ability, people would turn back to the breahead advantage, it's pretty boring really.
