Disgusting, the organisation are absolutely milking the fans. Raking in the money whilst it appears they are spending less and less on the playing budget. I'd had enough over the last couple of years and decided I wasn't renewing my season ticket this year. I've been to 2 home games and went to guildford last night but theres not a chance the panthers are getting another penny from me until I see things change. If I fancy a game I'll show my support at an away game rather than NB pocket my hard earned.

I couldn't disagree more. Our reaction to being conned out of a goal was fantastic, I was proud of the team for the way the bounced back to get the go ahead goal. Its what happened after that is what was the biggest disgrace of the night. If some fans want to hide this team behind one poor refereeing decision then fair enough but I can tell you now that that won't change the fact that this is a 3rd/4th place team(at best) come the end of the season and one poor Darnell moment won't change that, look at the bigger problems. If that's fine for you then enjoy the rest of your season, many will. "We get the club we deserve" Rob Scott No fans are hiding behind them anywhere they know where we are at and what is happening. There's very little to nothing the fans can do. You say don't turn up but let me know when Panthers are AVERAGING 3,500/4,000 a night which would be just over half full. The Panthers/Black market the team as city centre entertainment more than a sports franchise. The only way things will change is if he sells up and a new owner comes in with different intentions but while there's money to be made it won't get sold. The way I see it is that it's inbedded into the Nottingham folks minds that Panthers is a night out starting point, that's thanks to GM and black , but it won't change now even if black sold up. I bet an average Saturday night game has 1000 people maybe more just there to start there night off. These people are the problem along with all the fan girls and boys for that matter that don't care about results aslong as the players stop for a photo with them or their kids. As much as I'd like Gm to step down or black to sell up it's gone too far to be reversed.

Maybe some of that cash went on Rich Mmmm some of it maybe, but i’d bet most of it didn’t. We’ve even got extra webcast cash to spend now too, oooh lovely jubbly. And not just any old webcast either....but a sponsored webcast ! Why does a bloody webcast need to be sponsored, does this club actually pay for anything itself ? 🙄 Its fantastic that we are able to get sponsors for everything and obviously make more money. Just a massive shame that it doesn't seem to feed down to the ice. If only we had a decent GM

When he gets interviewed he's never asked how a player is out for and if he's actively seeking cover .. why? The only time he's mentioned a player being out was pre game on free sports but not by a Panthers reporter !! So i say why isn't he being asked questions on pressing matters? I can't stand the interviews we get especially the players interviews, same old pre scripted rubbish. I watched a Paul Thompson interview the other week with the Sheffield star I think. And although it did seem to put pressure on his job, it was a much better interview asking questions we want to hear. We get 45 seconds of them same thing on a weekly basis. I really don't know why I waste my time listening to them still.

Always good to gloat on the Steelers misfortune but play like we have for the last two home games (& Coventry wasn't much better) we could be in the same position as them Spoke to Rheault last night and he's tore a muscle so can't see him being back anytime soon. Conveniently forgetting the win/performance in Belfast eh! I didn't watch the Belfast game, but the only time I have been impressed with our performance, other than pre season, was against Sheffield. In hindsight that may have been down to how poor Sheffield are rather than how good we are, why we looked good. Looking at Belfasts results this weekend, it may be the same reason. I was really excited about this team pre season and after the Sheffield game, but since then I think our performances have been very laboured and reminiscent of last year's team.

I should be happy in fact I am but I am pretty fed up too, and the reason I am fed up as it is clear even this early in the season we are best of the rest but Cardiff with the squad signed are head and shoulders above everyone else. We might have lost by the odd goal but it was a pretty relentless game on panthers net, I am convinced if panthers had signed that squad we would be accused of buying the league and causing an arms war that would ruin ice hockey in Britain but since its in Cardiff it seems all is ok.. As much as I hate to admit it I am hoping that they get some season ending injuries as I see this as the only chance other teams have to catch up. I hope I am wrong but I cant see any other result come the end of the season other than a devils triple and well done to them for putting the team ahead of profits... Let’s see how we match up to Cardiff when we play them at home, we’ve only played one competitive game against them so far and it was close. Anyway back to the game, still overjoyed with the result, I thought despite conceding 3 goals we were solid at the back, Garnett also had a great game, we scored some beautiful goals, roll on Saturday! I also think we need to remember that Cardiff have only made a few new signings, their time has chemistry built up over 2/3 years where as ours is 2/3 months. Not every player on our team will shine but I'd like to think that we'll only need 3 maybe 4 new signings next summer to be really battling Cardiff. I don't think we're too far away from the right now anyway. For his first season in the UK I think rich is doing a great job so far.

Block 9 hasn't gone on sale yet. I think they normally release that to us. Sorry. Just based it on what Kiev said above i haven’t looked at the seating plan. We have block 6 in the corner and 7 behind the goal, all sold out. Block 8 is in the middle behind the goal where the drum is. Block 9 I'm sure used to be away seating which isn't on sale yet. But I'm not sure if the release that to away fans now the drum is in 8 . Can't stand that drum either. Seemed to ruin the atmosphere last time I went as he just whacked it aimlessly every time we started a chant.

Seems stupid to reduce away support seats, must lose a wad of cash when we visit, along with Sheffield. The Skydome away blocks are sold out this Sunday though. If it was the opposite they may just think twice ! Block 9 hasn't gone on sale yet. I think they normally release that to us.

I’m happy that we won and i hope it continues. I just can’t understand why people seem content to roll along with no spare. We can easily afford one,so what possible argument is there to not even want one ? A spare of reasonable quality not only provides obvious cover for injuries, but also helps create competition for places. In addition when everyone is fit, it allows for player rotation, giving them a game off every now and then and thus helping prevent "burn-out" and fatigue - if we can afford it and we're serious about the league then it's really a no-brainer. I think that would matter this season more than ever with the style we are playing, so much energy high tempo forechecking game. I thought on the way home last night , surely we can't keep up that pace for a season . Fatigue is bound to set in.

Really hoping we bring the same fast and physical game we have during pre season. Lets set the tone for the season today and bully them off the ice.

I tend to agree with Pidge. The only time i heard Dixon’s name was when he missed a chance to be honest! Linglet didn’t seem tonlight it up. Heddennlooked good but it was the old guard leading the way Exactly I saw nothing in that devils performance to make me worried! 2-5 flattered them I turned the game on in the middle of the second. From what I saw of the devil's I thought they were fantastic , dominated Salzburg for a huge amount of time. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see them lifting the trophy come March.

They changed it to 3 A's a couple of seasons ago. No idea why we've only gone with 2. Maybe rich is waiting for someone else to show they deserve it then. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

I think even a top Swedish second tier team is a lot better than a bottom half del 2 team don't you? We narrowly beat fischtown who were mid table in the del which is obviously good. I'm not criticising our team in the slightest as my post said, I've been impressed. But all's I have seen on social media is people expecting us to paste them next week. I've not seen anyone expecting to paste them. They hope to which is different I just want to see entertainment again for the first time in ages exactly what I want and I think we will get plenty of that this season for sure! I've seen a lot on Twitter expecting it. I think people can get a little carried away at times, although I am looking forward to this meeting with them more than I did at any point in the last 2 seasons

A lot of people on social media seemed to be getting carried away regarding our pre season compared to theirs. But the level of opposition were totally different. Top SHL opposition compared to a average del team , average del 2 team a Norwegian and Hungarian. I've been impressed with our performances but I'm not writing Sheffield off. Hold your horses!! Lekslands And Timra ain't top SEL teams . Lekslands came 2nd in the 2nd tier last year and Timra won it and are rebuilding after almost going bankrupt. Panthers arranged games against teams of similar ability so they d score goals and build confidence amongst their forwards hense the 29 goals . Steelers top forwards are yet to get off the mark yet. They are going into the regular season still to score and the longer it goes on the pressure will build . Guptil has scored 5 already. Every bit of confidence helps ! I think even a top Swedish second tier team is a lot better than a bottom half del 2 team don't you? We narrowly beat fischtown who were mid table in the del which is obviously good. I would normally get the tram from the forest … will there be an issue parking there next weekend? Normally I'd get on at hucknall as I'm coming from Mansfield, I think the bus is between Wilkinson street and the forest. But yea I'd not even thought about just parking at the forest , thanks.

It was the first pre season game I've been to this season and I thought we looked great. Fast, big, everyone finishing hits, traffic in front of the net. Really looking forward to seeing how we do next weekend against Sheffield. I'm not sure how much we can read into these pre season games against European teams. They're a lot different in style to what we get in the eihl. Looks positive though
