Typical, so they get a bye because we did so well?

Typical, so they get a bye because we did so well? Does it really matter? Yes - Just for the inconvenience of having to play 3 extra games over 3 days, create a backlog even though they should easily win the stage. Would be even better if they had to travel.

What's the betting their first group or the final is in Sheffiled ! They had better make the most of it as shortly the old arena will be just a dust cloud across the northbound side of the M1.

So, Sheffield get to go to Rungstead in Denmark. Also in the group are Yunost Minsk from Belarus and possibly HC Donbass from the Ukraine. Tough but doable

I really really want them to fail. They mocked our win and said how easy it was. Let's see them prove it and they have to less teams to go through.

I want them to win it. I then look forward to them not celebrating a thing as it's obviously not worth it.

they'll be eating humble pie for a while if they don't walk it

I want them to make The Final Stage then lose. Even though it would be more humiliating for them to lose at an earlier stage, it will be more beneficial for them to play as many extra games as possible.

How will continually running netminder go down in this competition?

I actually think the penalties may do for them, not just for running the netminder. One thing we did well was keep out of the box, discipline has never been Thomo's strong suit.

Yunost should walk that group - they beat Frolunda and Vaxjo at home in the CHL last year, these guys are no mugs. I think Sheffield will struggle to skate with them for 60 minutes.

I know they're our "biggest" rivals but I want them to win it.
Every time a UK team does well in Europe it makes our league's standing better.
