How good is Gagnon as a defenceman? He’s obviously the best scrapper but I don’t see him week in week out to know if he can play a bit too. He can certainly play abit, good solid second pairing d-man

I don't rate Moose, but his stats suggest I'm wrong. Seems an odd choice (and does sound like he canned him, rather than choosing to leave). Fitzy and Fretter have had their day though. Their fans aren't happy though, if Thommo gets it wrong with recruitment hopefully it'll become completely toxic up there Moose is a funny one, he can't catch but is pretty good at getting his body in the way of the puck, gives up alot of rebounds and relies alot on his defence clearing up for him. I wouldn't have him over Garnett or galbraith and if still have miika over this 2 aswell.

That could be too late still in my opinion, teams are already signing players for next season, players like other and perlini will be high on other teams list of targets. I'm disappointed it's not been done before the playoffs to atleast give the new coach a look at what we have, all's the new coach will have to work from is their cvs. Based on that we could end up with Phillips etc being resigned which would be disappointing.

The problem we are going to have re signing players is not having a coach in place as of yet, these players aren't going to wait just incase the new coach wants them, if they get offers they will take them. I think half of braehead problems this year was down to tripp being appointed pretty late and the majority of the good quality players already had new teams.

Mosey to Cardiff is one I heard just after the neilsons announcement, has some substance given the fact he turned them down last summer to play for Corey again. Wouldn’t surprise me according to Evan when in Prague he was offered mega bucks by Cardiff, he kept his word to Corey but he’s a free agent now. Could possibly follow Corey then I imagine depending where Corey goes.

Massive game today, we need to stay out of the box. We need to play with the heart and desire we saw in the DHL and us , the fans, need to back them like we did in the CHL.

Personally thought the refs were good last night , there were calls against both teams that could and probably should have been called but they let the game flow, we've been I'll disciplined all season and cross checking someone off the play under the trailing refs nose will be called all day. We're stupid with the penalties. One I thought was wrong was martinellis 2 minutes for roughing I thought it was automatically 5 for fighting when you drop gloves. Not that it would have changed the game though

Putting out videos on social media building up this 'New era ' and it turning out being a new logo would be pretty underwhelming to me. Not that I'd put it past them in the slightest after reading the constant bull they put out. I'm not too sure what else you are expecting. Other than a change in the ownership or GM which we doubt will happen. Or announcing the new coach which we've been told they are still looking into. I think changing the logo is the next 'big' thing? I was expecting a new coach given the effort they've gone to for a build up. Now we know it's not that I'd expect something like gm change or huge early signing for next season. Building up like that to change a badge is pathetic to me, did storm do that last week?

Is it down to leadership? Do we have the players with winning experience to take it by the scruff of the neck and pull the team through? Even our most experienced players don’t seem capable of doing it, prime examples last night Derlago should have scored in the empty net and Sauve should have cleared the puck from behind the net, he loses it and they equalise. This season has been a very strange one on the ice. That's exactly what i think it comes down to. We've got a massive lack of leadership on ice. A lack of heart and desire.

Regretted buying tickets for this but I'm getting excited for it now. It's a shame there's not more on the line but it would be nice to take away some 'bragging rights' into the off season. You might as well take whatever enjoyment you can get out of it, although I think only a play off win will give either side much to brag about over the other this year. Safe travels to anyone going in the snow. I'd just like to see us give them a good thumping ,I think we've lost 7 and won 2 from the games with them this season so far.

To add, about Mosey.. If he stays in the UK but leaves us, he will come back to haunt us. No doubts about it. I think if used better, he could easily live up to expectations. His speed hasn't been used half as much this season as last time he was here and even with that notion, I wouldn't want to see him playing in any other colour besides black and gold next season. Cardiff were known to be after him before this season. His decision making is very poor, his shot is below average even in this team, everyone he uses his speed to gain the zone, he looks to shoot short side, never trust to hold play in the zone or make a pass across the crease . He just shoots short side every time, it annoys the he'll out of me because the keeper is always naturally covering the short side . He's not improved at all since he left us infact I think he's gone downhill. Speed isn't everything, stick usain bolt on a pair of skates, just because he'd probably skate fast doesnt mean he can play hockey at the level ae need to be. Too many rose tinted glasses where he's concerned I'm afraid.

The only imports I'd even consider bringing back would be Pither,Gagnon,Billingsley,Mosey,Sauve and Galbraith. Mosey would have to take a pay cut though, because he's way over rated for what will be one of the top earners. And Sauve needs to cut out the flash Harry i think I'm a bit too good for this league stuff which ends up in costly mistakes. I'd honestly cancel garnetts contract as I imagine he's a big earner too, I know he's on a uni deal but he could stay off his own back to do his second year. Galbraith with gospel backing up and run a spare import forward

Along with the inability to pass (this season has been the worst I can remember), inability to clear our zone, the worst Panthers PP I can remember and an inability to frequently score. Strange how forwards come to us with good scoring records, are very poor here then go to other teams and suddenly they are scoring again. That's why i'm not calling out the players. It simply happens to often to too many good players for it to just be about them. This group proved what it was capable early season, so I don't buy the idea that they ain't good enough. Motivation, engagment, Finding the pubs, tactics, senior managment. Any or many of those may be a reason. If it is down to attitude then many do need to move on. However as I started with and have said before, Too many players over many seasons have done the same. I'd actually like to see the majority of this team back(with a few tweaks) under a different coach and see what happens. If they are good enough and the reason for their drastic drop in form is down to not liking management or the way things are run etc then that says to me they've got bad attitudes. Regardless of how things are run they're still being paid to perform. There's only a couple of them id like back.

More effort last night than I've seen in a while but we clearly aren't good enough, Steelers aren't exactly setting the league on fire and we didn't really trouble them that much they looked comfortable for large parts of the game. First goal- what was mok thinking? Steve Lee failed to control the pick at the blue line, gave them a break. Second goal- seemed to go through garnetts glove and in, very poor from him. At 3-2 down around 5 minutes to go we break 2on1 perlini and mosey, perlini passes across the crease leaving the net gaping for mosey, all's he's got to do is have his stick there to direct it in, he fans on it. Whoever said he deserves a place on the team because he's fast, really? 3 very basic mistakes cost us, without a fresh start roster wise I can't see us challenging the top next season either.

Nothing game but It would be nice to give them a good pasting after being shut out twice by them in the last 2 home games. Going for a 3-0 loss myself

Only players who can take any credit from that game was tetlow and brown for me. We really lack leadership on the ice. Gutless and spineless performance.
