Clan defence is poor but the netminder has made some good saves He likes throwing his stick too.

Either Clan are terrible or we have stepped up a lot, maybe even both but we look a lot better. 4-0 up with less than minute to go in the 1st.

It is an easy job and it loses the value of the title. Obviously I want us to win it don't think that's going to happen now but I'd rather Clan win it than Squeelers or the whiney Devils. Mainly due to how much I dislike both of the teams.

Covienently the goal highlights don't show it from any other angle than the original view when they scored apart from its slowed down yet a different angle showing the goal line is used later in the highlights for a play in the zone. You can see it hit the bar and come back out towards Madolora and he then covers it in his crease so doesn't look like a goal to me.

Swindlehurst scores 50 seconds into the 2nd and then Roy equalises less than a minute later, currently 3-3.

League definitely most important by far. The cup and playoffs are like, as you said, bonuses but still trophies. However much I want us to win the league I'll still be happy if we win one or at least both the cup and playoffs.

Yes, can't see it happening though unfortunately. It certainly ought to happen. We signed Hardy, so clearly (a) the coach wanted another import D man and (b) funds were available to pay for it. Now, Hardy wasn't the right man so we cut him. But both of these two conditions are still applicable, added to which we have since lost two d-men to injury, one of them an import. The need is greater now than when Corey previously said we needed someone. But this is the Panthers so who knows. The last sentence of your post is why I'm not sure we will get a replacement as I think management will just take the "ah we're fine now we have an import netminder" approach.

Not too sure about getting him in as quick as possible? But at least we now have what looks to be a suitable replacement/stand in. Let's hope it can get us back on track on the ice at least It is late! I meant from being signed, announced etc. to being in the training session the next morning.

Latest OS says he arrived last night and he has trained with the boys this morning. Great work from the team and player imo to get in quick as possible and sort paperwork out etc.

Latest OS says signing news in the next 24hrs. A mention of "pieces" of the jigsaw instead of just a piece, I've read this as maybe more than one signing? But not sure if that's what it meant.

Regards our goalie situation, this has appeared and rumours starting to fly around. Maybe Marozzi (Asiago)? Pizza emoticon is the clue.

Said in latest OS that a couple of players were going to have last minute fitness tests so he must of took a knock and failed it. Frustrating to have one back and lose another..

This has become tougher than it was originally going to be. We normally beat them comfortably at home but with Dimmen now out and Lee also being out leaves us very short at the back. We need Schultz back to boost the offence as the forwards have begun to disappear recently.

The "puck luck" spin has been put on maximum effect in the latest match report. Sounded like we were shocking and now another injured D man leaves us with 4 D men.

Just watched the highlights from Boxing Day and it would appear that there's goal tender interference on the steelers second goal. Desbien skates across Green and hits his catcher and moves him away from the goal not giving Green the chance to make the save. Just something I saw I can see the exact same thing, unfortunately Darnell, who is stood directly behind the goal, can't for some perculiar reason Me and a few around me thought it was interference on the night but never saw a replay to confirm it.

Travelling up for this so hoping for a win, being realistic I can see it being a split weekend and maybe coming out with 3 points but obviously would like and we could do with the 4.
Having Schultz and Moran back or even just one of them would be a great boost for the offense, if the D turn up and play tight like at the start of the season I think we may be able to hold them back, if of course we get a lead and not concede first. Think the netminders are going to be the difference in it, Pinc is on a good run recently and we'll most likely have Greener who has done well but is a back up (no disrespect to him he is a capable back up but it could be the difference) but we never know if the D play their hearts out.

That classy piece of filth will think about serving his ban next time. Having travelled up for the game last night I witnessed for myself how classless the panthers fans are and can understand totally why you are hated by pretty much every team in the league, as regard the comment about marsh being filth, I suggest you take a good look at yourselves as it is you who are the filth of British ice hockey. The fact your coach pretty much says marsh will be a target means either he's allowed it or more worryingly he can't control his players!!. Unfortunately the sensible, genuine, decent fans of the panthers have been tarred with the same brush as the classless ones, I spoke to a few after the game last night and they were disgusted with other panther fans cheering marsh when he was out cold and booing him when he got to his feet. With regards to dirty hits have a look at mosey's hit to marsh's head in the recent game at the BBT, think you might find that's where everything started after Hogarth decided not to call it!! And you have your share of dirty players with Clarke and Lawrence both getting 2+10 and game penalties recently being called for checking from behind so don't sit there on the moral high ground. A 2+10 penalty does not brand a player as 'dirty' at all and anyway you have players that serve bans pretty regularly, and owners of the highest PIMS in the category but I forgot your team are a bunch of 'angels' and your fans shrug off dangerous plays as fine just because it was "out of character". Please tell me where Corey said they were targeting Marsh? He just said he'd expect came to serve up some revenge as it wasn't policed properly by the league/independent panel. A couple of fans supposedly throwing beer at opposition fans does not make us the "filth of British ice hockey" at all. Have seen/received worse from your own fans and even your players, especially Hervato and Hotham at the end of yesterday's game. Have met some some wonderful Devils fans (especially the ones I bumped into multiple times whilst visiting Toronto and had a good laugh and chat about hockey etc) but starting to change my opinion on the fan base with some of the cack that has come out the majority of their mouths recently. We all know It'd be completely different if the shoe was on the other foot. Also, we are apparently so "classless" yet you look through this thread and how many Cardiff fans have logged in to then troll/post childish silly comments? Yet I had a quick browse through the game thread etc. on the Inferno and yet not one Panthers fan came in trolling etc.

Looking a good night so far chaps. Anyone got any comments over Lawrence these past two days?! Have said all weekend that he has played brilliantly, especially last night. He looked a completely different player from last season and has got himself in a scoring groove tonight.
