Not trying to be pedantic but that is quite far from being virtually free whichever way you look at it. Yes it is good value, if you have the money.

If virtually free to go and going is always so much better than watching on TV. Eh?

You two might be protesting too much. I don't think anyone minds the yearly updates, it's expected. What people questioned last year was whether we really needed 4 different jerseys, one of which we then failed to deliver to fans at all, and whether Panthers should have a set of colours that are actually part of our identity, rather than plucking any old colour out because we fancy it. As I said before....

We were at Ice Sheffield on Saturday and the neutral zone looks titchy. I suspect this will move the balance between size and mobility slightly in favour of the teams with more mobility. Regards Doom Agreed. Whilst nowhere near the standard of EIHL players, I played in a Master's Tournament at the NIC over the weekend and, being a d-man, was immediately struck by just how much difference such a seemingly small change has made. Transitions from offence to defence seem to come a fair bit quicker and a well-drilled offence has acres of room to move about in the opposition's zone. Nimble players are likely to really benefit from these changes whereas hard-hitting (invariably slower) d-men are going to hate it.

Bit crazy the blue lines don't have to move till next season, so some clubs will not be implementing this year..... talk about lack of consistency! Will some of our smaller ices have space to reduce the centre ice by 3m? I can't recall exactly where I read it but I seem to remember that non-IIHF standard sized rinks wouldn't have to reduce the neutral ice by 3m, instead reducing it by a ratio consistent with the dimensions of the rink compared to standard. I'll have a poke about, see if I can find a link to the article.

Proves how many new fans are on this forum these days when theres not a single reaction to this! Or, it shows its the middle of summer and perhaps folks aren't crawling over the board as they would during the season. Or, the fact its Jimmy Paek doesn't take away the fact its about low level international hockey, which many people have no interest in. Or... Or... I'm not. With the changes going on at Red Wings and Griffins perhaps he sees a lack of opportunity to climb any higher going forward. If Babcock leaves next season there will undoubtedly be a wholesale restructure in both Detroit and Grand Rapids.

I know a few rec players who aren't afraid to drop the gloves and I know at least one who would probably even take his chances with ex-AHL players. His missus might not be too happy though... Zukiwskyfan no doubt knows who I'm on about.

Then again I guess when you have 15 imports to chose from it doesn't really matter if you lose some. Obvious troll is obvious.

As for the blacks managing both teams, does it matter? At the very least them not owning both teams would have prevented many debates like this.

CH are still active on the old chirpy chirpy cheep cheep (https://twitter.com/CH_Sports). We'll have new jerseys though, we always do. They announced the last set in early August. Nottingham Phantoms have recently ordered their jerseys from CH Sports and there are a fair few CH Sports Nottingham Outlaws jerseys for sale in Ice Locker.

We will be playing in Sheffield on Boxing Day. Assume that means the return is Saturday 27th at home. I thought the host of the Boxing Day game was supposed to alternate every year?

Correct me if I am wrong but I understand that at the start of last season it was announced that as we launched 4 new shirts we were promised that this year we would stick with these Jerseys. I know that the suppliers had difficulty in supplying the gold Jersey so......Are we having a new Jersey or are we keeping what we used last year. The maroon was supposedly a Limited edition....how many were sold?? Not complaining just wondered what we were doing this season? I can't see the Panthers sticking with last season's jerseys given what a cash cow they are and given Ice Locker has slashed the prices of remaining stock to clear....well you make up your own mind.

Weirdly enough, I believe the Devils drafted someone late on with British connections too. Nathan Walker, was drafted 89th overall by the Washington Capitals. Born in Cardiff, family moved to Australia when he was 2 years old. Plays for Australia.

He does look a fairly decent signing, shame about some cracking bumpf from the Panthers PR department again though...

....at least 1 of the 3 Dmen need to be able to enforce and intimidate in my opinion, someone like Lepine who can play aswell would be perfect.... I have a real dislike of 'enforcer' d-men due to the fact losing them for penalties results in a weakened d. There is a reason most enforcers are wingers, losing them during penalties doesn't hit the team so hard.

Come on Shaggy, when has commonsense ever come into it? You know the rules....
MoaR FiGhtZZZ!!!!
Scotty Bowman had it wrong too. He should have put Yzerman on the forth line and had him brawling with Domi and Co every week.

Am I the only one who doesn't want DC doing anything else other than hovering near the opposing blue line and shooting at every opportunity? I'm sure opposition coaches would never work out and counter a 'pass it to Clarke' tactic.

Perhaps, but as it is DS I think a bit more substantial. Ha ha ha ha. Oh, you were being serious! DS the BS goes for quanity over quality, working the law of averages until it squeaks. About the only rumours I'd ever trust him about are Steelers ones, but even then a pinch of salt may be required. That is the kind of quality insight you get from an estate agent who hangs about hockey people.

The funniest thing I've seen written about Darryl Lloyd is where some (perhaps unintentional) comedian has described his role on 'Drop Your Gloves' as, among other things, "Tough Guy".
1 fight (lost) in 80+ EIHL games does not a 'tough guy' make.
