I actually think your roster is better than some may think. Plenty of talent, mix of youth and experience.
Really exited to see Sam Herr, Brian Connolly and Dylan Malmquist play.
And you have two netties capable of rotating without issue.

You must've been a right happy clapper 😉 Oh was for a few years then I learnt my lesson. ie. Do not ever deal with, trust or sponsor Nottingham Panthers ! I believe a certain poster on here had some of his stats used without permission or credit once too. The depths of depravity some will stoop to. Stats are sacred... My work sponsored a couple of games a long while back (so far ago that Lacho got MoM) but it was a tortuous process and renewing involved more money than the first time, with nothing in return, so we politely declined.

So, just to recap are we still waiting news on:
1) The young brit prospects (goalies? ) As per OS on 26th July
2) The last forward
3) A defenceman(men) as per OS 3rd July

Because one of them in the Lace Market was mine and I let Panthers have it for free for FOUR years.....and they still crapped on me and my family. So now you know just one of the reasons Panthers are not top of my favourite people’s list. There is also another apartment on Thurland Street which belongs to Neil Black which you could argue comes free to them too. Are you related to Milkman (Therapy?) who posted 6 or 7 years ago?. His gripe with Panthers/GM was related to being crapped on. Something to do with photography, as I recall. He posted in a very similar vein to you for several years. *Sorry mucked up the quote editing. This was in answer to Iginla and not meadow No I’m not related to Milkman but I do remember him.

You mean Chris? He was club photographer and got dumped for Dave Page .. yes he had a axe to grind and has had nothing to do with Panthers for years

With the forward lines complete its time to play keyboard Coach:
| LW:
| Centre:
| RW: | 1
| Quist
| Perlini
| Jakobs
| 2
| Golovkovs
| Rheault
| Bulmer
| 3
| Herr
| Loiseau
| Betteridge
| 4
| Malmquist
| Lachowicz
| Kelsall
|
The biggest upgrade the team could make IMO is a topline centre, move Perlini down to second line centre, Rheault out to RW, Bulmer to third, Betteridge to fourth and Kelsall to the bench.
Make it a Swedish player for that line synergy +10 speed stat bonus.

Some points with regards to our forward lines.
We’ve got 5 R/H forwards but none of them are centres, which is very odd. I would have thought you’d want a balance to assist with different set plays from face-offs.
I also think the club are expecting a big impact from Golovkovs. I recall when they announced his signing, GD and TW were bigging him up and they were really praising him, as though they were expecting a lot from him. Maybe he’s going to play 1st line centre?

Maybe he’s going to play 1st line centre? they did. but they also did with Loiseau saying he would be a huge part of our offence. could be either of them. I believe Golovkovs was almost a PPG player after Wallace took over so he could do great. that stat could be wrong though, I didn't check it I just saw it on twitter.

The lines will most likely change anyway regardless of how they start. They will be different when Whistle goes in net, changed when there are injuries or if certain lines don't work.

On a positive note Malmquist’s NCAA stats are virtually the same as Darcy Murphy’s and Blair Riley’s!!

Should be a fun season. There was inevitably going to be a culture shock among fans, seeing the irony in the other big three splashing out more than ever on Hollywood CVs a la Panthers while GD&TW build more of a spirited Moneyball side, but there could be a pretty interesting dynamic shift to come from it. Instead of fans rightly abandoning a roster full of capable stars who visibly avoid playing with effort every night, there's a chance that the support will come out in droves to watch a less ostensibly talented team go hell-for-leather every game. Sometimes the grass is greener.

Okay so the squad is complete{?) and many on here are suggesting we will not finish higher than 4th. You read it here first, we will finish in the top 3; our best finish for years!
I'm liking the change of direction, the team ethos, the speed, the skillset, the "I've something to prove CV's" (rather than my CV says I'm good, so I need to prove nothing!)
I do believe this team will provide the fans with fantastic entertainment each and every week - if that is the case you really can't ask for more!!
Bring it on.

Would love to see you finish above Steelers, whether that happens is anyone’s guess, but hopefully it will happen.

You seem to have a very "glass half full" view of this season's team, but you still only predict us finishing as high as last season, which pretty much everyone agrees was a very poor team and year. People's mindset seems to have got to the point where it's "Oh as long as we compete and entertain and try hard then that's a successful season". Why is it like that?? No disrespect to them, but that's what Manchester and Dundee fans should be thinking before a season... Steelers fans aren't happy with anything other than a league Championship. Is that the difference??

Is that the difference?? That is the difference yes. There is far,far too much complacency and lack of the will to win in Nottingham from club and fans. The only time there seemed a change of mindset was when Bruce Richardson was around,he changed the attitude for a little while but since he went so did the will to win.

I don’t disagree except maybe it was Fox who also out the will to win back too but I want to see what TW ant GD can do now before writing too much of it off
