Richardson and Fox were leaders and characters that all teams would love to have, from the outside looking in it seemed as though they did a lot to motivate the players around them, which is maybe where Neilson struggled?
I am hoping that Wallace can have a positive influence, not only in terms of his coaching and with the technical/tactical side, but in creating a team atmosphere where every player is motivated (or at least play like they are) and they do everything they can to win. I’d love to see a bounce back season for Lacho under TW.

Whilst I'm not "excited" by this roster, as some have said (maybe I'm just too jaded by now?) I have to admit... I'm quietly looking forward to seeing what this roster can do. The potential is quite large, I think... the only question is how much of it they will live up to - and neither the hopeless optimists nor the lemon-sucking doomsayers have the slightest clue on that score, no matter how much people claim to be 'sure' of how it's going to turn out. There's a question mark over each set of players... netminders? - could go either way... defence? - look mobile and creative, but are they lacking physicality?... forwards? - a real mixed bag, so many have said that they lack scoring potential - do they? Dunno... There is, of course, also the matter of the coaching. A new broom (which surely has to be a relief after last season!) who apparently did great things with very little last season... but can he bring that and step it up to another level with a bigger club & budget? And can he make a true team out of this particular bunch of individual players? And yet again, we seem to have the obsession with the idea that winning any and all silverware is the only point of the entire season, and that to not do so is a total and utter waste of time & effort. If you actually stop & think about it... that really is a rather extreme point of view, isn't it? You could say that there are two extremes - the 'win win win' mindset or the 'don't care about the result as long as it's entertaining' viewpoint - but the reality is, most people are probably somewhere along a sliding scale between the two. Personally, I'm probably about 70% along the scale towards the latter... I pay my money primarily to go & watch a game of hockey, not just to see a result on the scoreboard at the end of 60+ minutes. Most (not all) of the time, I'd prefer to see a hard battling 4-5 loss (preferably in OT! ) than a 10-0 win without getting out of second gear. I'd love to see the Panthers win every game, and to lift every trophy - and believe me, I'll be cheering as loudly as anyone when/if that happens - but it's not exclusively my objective. But hey - that's me, I'm not expecting others to have exactly the same viewpoint, even though I know many do. Beware of extremes, though... not being utterly obsessed with winning does not equate to 'lack of ambition' or some such. That's a fallacy.

That is the difference yes. There is far,far too much complacency and lack of the will to win in Nottingham from club and fans. The only time there seemed a change of mindset was when Bruce Richardson was around,he changed the attitude for a little while but since he went so did the will to win. Ling Well yes Ling was a huge part of why they won in 2012/13. That and the fact there was very little competition around at the time because Cardiff and Sheffield were both in troubled times following the Regan disasters.

Well DeSantis hasn’t just been signed, how long do visas take , 4-6 weeks.? Two of the Brits told us weeks ago that the team was already signed as Doucet had been given a deadline, as had they to make up their minds, even if the visas took 2 weeks the majority must have been signed since mid July. I wonder if Bulmers signing was a reason for Lee ‘s decision to move. (Just a thought).

I've got a feeling we might have a few heated games if Bulmer plays with a chip on his shoulder and Lepine brings back the physicality and aggression, which i’d love to see!

Gui certainly comes across as impressive to listen to just hope it transpires on the ice

A good interview from Chris Ellis, let’s hope that Gui’s comments transpire onto the ice.
